Oddly enough Target is charging my card for my Jigglypuff however the order status still says "Order Created".  Does that mean they are shipping early?  It's still almost a month until release.

The exact weight of the package was 1000g and I did pick registered SAL. It came out to 1490¥ shipping plus 600¥ handling so 2090¥ total. If I did the faster option it would have been 3000¥ total.

I ordered 5 figures (skipped wario), but if I did 6 it would have been even less per figure.

Target has been doing authorization charges for Jigglypuff at least once a week to make sure you have the funds.

After waiting in line for 2 hrs (going over my lunch break) to preorder Ness I'm pretty much done going out of my way for amiibo, and It feels great to not give a crap about these things anymore. Now, watching everyone going insane over wave 4 is making me realize how obsessive and unhealthy I was behaving over these things. It's not worth the trouble. Screw "peace of mind", it's a piece of plastic.

 
Did anybody else recently get a two pound catalog from B&H for their canceled amiibo orders?

That went directly from the mailbox to the recycling bin.

I did the exact same thing. And when I say exact same thing I mean that I got the catalog out of the mailbox and walked it over to my recycle bin and threw it away. It didn't even make it into the house.

 
That's pretty hilarious.  I've got the 2010 Statue, but its been sitting inside the box for so long I forgot what it looked like.  Yeah, guess they used the same models :)

If they do, it'll be over so fast you could click "one click checkout" the second they're available and they'll already be gone. They'll either release on the 29th which means no cuance, or preorder at a random time in which some will get lucky most won't.
 
I wonder if Amazon is just worried about all the upset customers who get cancellation notices (happens all the time with Warehouse items)?  Still, I think most of us would expect them to issue some cancellations with how quickly they can sell out on Amazon.

They are probably just being careful, and also probably irritated at Nintendo, after the delays they received in getting their wave 3 products. Remember their stock came much later than all the other retailers and there were probably a lot of nasty emails.

Amazon and Nintendo don't have a great relationship to begin with. I forget the specifics, but they've had a longtime beef with one another that has kept Amazon from selling their consoles (at least direct from Amazon) for years.

Same here bud, same here. Its funny that Wave 5 is being LAUNCHED/SHIPPED in the other countries soon and we still haven't had had preorders for them, nor Amazon preorders for Wave 4... c'mon NOA/Retailers get on the stick here!

Well Wave 4 is already out oversea's , they appear to be moving quickly along the waves and preparing for their Wave 5 release next month.Funny how here in America the process seems to be slower but with even worse stock issues.

My entire wave 4 is on its way from Japan and should be here in a week. I'm done wasting gas and time here when I'm just going to open them anyway. My eBay guy never lets me down either, which is way more than I could say for most retail stores in my city.
 
It does seem like Nintendo, other Japanese developers, and Japanese attitudes in general sure have problems with USA and/or western culture regarding our gaming preferences, software products, and the power of influence of our consumer market.   They should be more gracious towards us for keeping their businesses profitable.  They should also start giving us some better preferential treatment when it comes to servicing our market considering how much we support them. 

On the other hand, American financial analysts, journalists, and gamers need to stop being so disparaging and cynical towards Nintendo's business.   If I had a nickle for every time I heard the third most valuable company in Japan was on its deathbed.  You don't have to go far to find someone ranting about evil/stupid business decisions by them, and it's often Nintendo fanboys.  I especially don't know nor understand at what point we started to let financial speculators who only care about one thing, profitability, influence our views on gaming.  Western gaming, and it's sequel-itis, lack of taking chances and innovating new IPs, is depressing in it's own regard. 

I'll never understand why Eastern and Western gaming and business cultures can't get along and work better together.

No mention of amiibo Tap at all and it came out yesterday...

Well I tried it out. I used my Mario amiibo and got the original Super Mario Bros. From what I read it's supposed to be random but I've heard a few other people say they coincidentally got games that matched their amiibo (and some that did not of course). Maybe mainstay characters are more likely to get a game in their series who knows.

You get nine different 3 minute sections in SMB. Essentially it's the whole game it's just a matter of how far you can get in each of the 3 minute sections. The 9 sections consisted of the first level of each world EXCEPT: section 2 which is 2-2 (a water level) and section 9, which was the final level. You can practically beat the whole game with these sections so it really defeats the purpose of me purchasing the game for the millionth time on Wii U but this sort of "demo" might entice some people to buy the whole game. As it stands I feel the demo time is quite generous.

This uses the read/write function of your amiibo so you may need to do some data management if you use them for Smash or MP10 already.

 
So what ever happened to all those chatroom pics of people "confirming" that they'd go live on the 17th? (or was it 27th?) Guess that wasn't very reliable :)

Seems like all them are currently available if anyone lives over there or have friends that can ship them.

Nevermind, I just got an email from Tenso telling me my package was too big for SAL. The weight was fine, but the dimensions were too big. I had to change to EMS, but that's no problem since it will be here in a few days rather than a couple weeks. Total shipping was $25.14 so my total was $51.48 for amiibos plus $1.53 foreign transaction fee plus $25.14 shipping which equals $78.16 ($15.63 per amiibo). I think that's probably more in line with everyone else's cost.

 
My jigglypuff orders from 4/8 are in tact. I think the first time Jigglypuff went up, on 4/2, it was in error. The window was really small and now the orders are being cancelled.
