Open them. You won't regret it. Using amiibo is actually really fun. My son and I love playing against them in Smash. Unless you think you're somehow going to sell them for a fortune years don't the road (hint: you won't. This bubble WILL burst eventually.), there's no reason not to open and enjoy them.

Is it just me or does anyone else hate E3 "leaks"? I mean, things seem so much cooler (especially from Nintendo) when they release them or announce them... when someone just posts a quick "this is leaked" or a media outlet posts a picture and says "possible leak" it just seems lacking and then makes the announcement less than effective... <shrug>

 
Haven't seen anyone post this yet; TRU has buy any 2 amiibo for $22. Kirby is still available online. Add a game or something to bump it over $49 to get free shipping.

I feel the same way. If I hadn't seen Ryu and Roy mentioned in this thread I would have been so surprised by it when nintendo announced it officially yesterday. I'm glad no one leaked the Earthbound news. I got to be excited over that instead. :p

I was super surprised about Ryu and Roy. Not because I didn't see the initial leak, but when I found out they were available yesterday. Someone was talking about playing as Ryu and they sounded like they actually played as him in Smash, so I'm like "I'll turn on my Wii U and see if they have a demo for him or something." BAM! Up for download.

I figured since the information was leaked so close to the mini SSB announcement they'd probably be available, and then they were. ^^;
I was however surprised/supremely impressed by the fact that you can actually perform Ryu's original button combos in SSB. That's pretty damn awesome, I never would have expected that.

I just got cancellations for my Bowser Jr., and Olimar from Amazon Italy.  Looks like they oversold by quite a bit.

Villager and Dark Pit are around $18 USD on Amazon.jp...... *heavy breathing*

Can someone either just answer the question or direct me to a Tenso info page... I have made my account and I just need to verify it later on today.

But it seems I cannot find clear cut rates on their shipping.

For the sake of precision, how much would Tenso charge (ballpark estimate) for shipping and whatever cost they take as well to ship to Illinois?

You're not going to get an exact answer, as their rates vary on a number of factors. They always charge a 600 yen handling fee, and the rest is determined by the number of packages (which you would like to consolidate - another fee though), package size, weight, destination, shipping type, and whether you want it insured or not. In my experience, if you have one package and choose the cheapest shipping option (2 weeks) somewhere between ~$14-20 per box in this case. Hope that helps.

I bought all four 5A amiibos, two from amazon and two from different 3rd parties, consolidating and shipping cost ~$26 for 2-4 days via EMS

I live in Illinois and have used Tenso. EMS shipping (fastest option) has been about $20 for 3 amiibo, and around $25 for 4.

 
Would anyone with a Tenso account be interested in helping me secure a ROB?  It's the only Japanese amiibo I'm going to get and it doesn't sound like buying a single figure is cost effective.  I'd be happy to reimburse for your trouble, of course.

Hi all!

Can somebody help?  Is there a difference between first edition Shulks compared to the reprints?  I know there are with the Marths.

Problem is, I have both the new and old shulk.  I'm trading one of them but would like to keep the first edition for myself.  I was a bonehead and didn't keep them seperate or keep track so now I can't tell the difference LOL.  I don't want to trade away the original.

There is no difference in the figure. The stamp on the back is different. That is it.

5 away from my complete set, amiibos are going to be the death of me.  Need to still get Lucario, Rosalina, Gold Mario, Pit, and Captain Falcon.  Then wave 5 will be the thing of nightmares. =[

 
Sometimes you just get lucky.  I walked into a Gamestop I hadn't been into for months today looking to use my $5 Kongregate coupon.  I started browsing the Amiibo section which contained the typical crap at most retailers, plus a few Silver Mario.  The employee asked me if there was anything he could help me with and I blurted out "Do you have any Shulk Amiibo?" expecting him to laugh and say no.  Except he didn't.  He actually stated that today he brought back the Shulk he himself bought and was returning it to the store.  I was shocked and asked if he was joking.  He wasn't, and he sold me the copy of Shulk he had just returned to the store.  He will be getting a glowing Gamestop survey.

Don't know if Marth is still hard to find but I stopped by BB to pick up some headphones and found one. Fire Emblem amiibos were the only ones I cared about but I've never actually seen one in store before.

Marth pre-printed is very hard to get. 1st gamestop, 2nd toysrus got small shipment on may 29th, 3rd bestbuy have 2 units per store last week and this week. You are very lucky to seen 1 at your store :)
