Still listing above MSRP I see...even so I'm sure they'll still sell out. Wish I was cool enough with the slight markup to order an Ike and Lucina. But I don't want them that badly. For a reprint villager I might cave.

Sorry, that's what I meant. If it were MSRP + shipping, it might be reasonable if you didn't already have these characters. If it were 19.99 and free shipping for 2 (such as when the villager reprint was up I believe), I wouldn't bat an eye.

Yeah, looked at play-asia, for the four figures (3 Fire Emblem and Lucario) I would buy, it would be around $105.  I can't justify paying twice the price for them.  At least they seem to be in stock for a while.

 
I'm cancelling my Dark Pit order from Amazon UK (get it if you can). They wanted a payment revision for some odd reason. And it has been "preparing for dispatch" for a few days now, get on the ball UK, jeez.

I'll just grab a JP Dark Pit from Amazon US for the same price (USD) and receive in 2 days.

Edit: Just kidding, they said they cannot cancel it. But they won't ship it. Freaking clowns.

Well I bought the 3 yarn Yoshis from amazon Deutschland.  $90 shipped for the three of those plus one other common.  We'll see how this goes.

So it looks like the exclusives will be stocked well like Meta Knight was (great news if you need Rosalina, Lucario, Ness) but the unicorns will, remain just that, unicorns. Judging from the pitiful Marth and WFT restocks we've seen.

Jiggly and Greninja's prices on eBay seem to be pretty low.. there are ones selling for as low as $25 shipped. Ness, Robin and Lucina on the other hand seem to be genuinely rare.

I'm curious if this is due to too many flippers or if this is due to a lot of people simply giving up.

I think changes to the amount of flippers or people giving up is mostly irrelevant. There were 10-20 puffs and greninjas at many stores vs 1-2, robins, Lucina, and ness Amiibo per store. That is the biggest factor.

I got extremely lucky. Called a few of the local GS yesterday and most said they were on hold for someone. One said the WFT had no sku but they got one in that was damaged and it couldn't be sold till this morning. I got there before they opened and was able to grab her. I was expecting it to be really messed up, but there was only a small rip where the plastic and the cardboard meet so I'm very happy.

 
Success in Durham, NC. Waited outside the store at 8:45 for the off chance they got one in and they did.

Honestly, who knows what the real policy is. I assumed that the no hold rule was only in effect for release day on May 29th. I had a Charizard held for me 2 weeks ago or so without any issue at Gamestop.

It really just boils down to what the GA or manager decides is best. Some want these bought immediately to just stop the calls and some are more helpful than others.
 
they aren't allowed to hold even if they tell you that over the phone.  They're holding it for themself or a friend 1 phone call to the district manager straightens that BS out everytime

 
I just got a WFT at my local GS, they hadn't opened the shipment from yesterday.  I went 2 hours after they opened, I was the first dude who asked.  My other GS denies they received the shipment and wouldn't look for me so there is at least 1 WFT floating around NH.  The only bad part is my box had slight damage, oh well, I'll take what I can get.

Just got one from my store. They originally said a manager was coming in around 12:30 with two of them. Got there at 12:10 and they didn't seem to have a clue. They said one was on hold for someone. I was like yeah that is not going to happen. They called the guy and he said he already got one. So they sold it to me.

 
I picked up a WFT yesterday at a Gamestop that had just came in. It was tagged preowned too so it was only 10.xx and printed a 50% trade in code. Are they tagging all the reprints as preowned?

Marth, Pit showed up on Amazon briefly this morning. I believe Amazon restocked WFT last Thursday.

Maybe they're random, but might be worth a shot to get pit/marth as well if you're stalking GameStop stores next few days.

 
Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in.

I stopped by GameStop just for the hell of it and try my luck at a WFT. I didn't see any out but I did see a used Samus and Link as well as a sign indicating the deal of buy 3 "interactive figures" and get 50% off all of them. So I figured what the hell, picked those 2 up and an Infinity figure. As he was ringing me up I mentioned about the possible shipment of WFT and he said he hadn't checked in the shipment yet so they might have it actually. He went in the back and brought out the whole shipment box which contained 3 pretty rough Sonics and 1 nearly pristine WFT which I happily purchased.
 
I FOUND MYSELF A WFT THIS MORNING!! SO EXCITED! :D/

Long story short...called my local GS yesterday and they confirmed 1 WFT for Wednesday morning. Got to GS at 9:15a, right when the UPS truck started unloading GS's shipment. Got in at 10a, helped the employees open some boxes to find the WFT and found it in the last box. My face lite up like a Christmas tree. Now I only need Villager to complete my collection :whistle2:

Strolled in around 1 this afternoon and they were going through their shipment and had WFT in there. Got the only one at in St. Robert, MO Gamestop.

small world, the gamestop rep at bay ridge said someone else came in before me and asked earlier. There was none at the one on 5th and 54th as well. I might check the one at barclay center later today.

Aha it is a small world indeed! I thought about going to the one in Sunset but I know that's a relatively new one and their employees are a little too sharp. The one on Court though in BK Heights. No offense but they hire young pretties that really don't know the rules. I've double and tripped dipped coupons/deals at that one over the years.
