My local Toys r us has like 20 fox amiibo. Funny thing is when I look Fox online at toysrus.com it shows them out of stock at my store. I'm pretty sure those 20 will be the last ones they will get and toys r us will stop carrying them.

If you have it on wiiu, you have the better version

I think it's great on 3ds, but online is lousy. However, you do get different stages (each version has levels the other version does not) and if you link up to the wiiu version you can use the 3ds as a controller (must have both games)

If you 3ds a lot I think it's a solid game, but if not, and if you already have the Wii U version, it's probably not worth it.

I have gcu and rewards cash so I grabbed it "cheap" for the soundtrack/mewtwo promo. Cause I'm a Nintendo junky. I like many of the 3ds levels more than the wiiu ones.

And all this smashing made me get a copy of brawl, subspace emissary is like "amiibo the game". Glad I finally got it. Funny how wiiu and amiibo got me way more into playing newer gen nintendo games than gcn or Wii ever did. I just grabbed metroid prime trilogy on eBay (finally) yesterday.

Ps4 and xbone are gathering dust.

I am going to disagree with this. I have both versions and I enjoy both. That being said, if you don't travel a lot or have a long commute to work/school, then it's probably not worth it to get both versions unless you are a Nintendo Junkie.

So I pre-ordered a Captain Falcon amiibo over a month ago from Best Buy and it still hasn't shipped. Is that pretty normal or am I most likely not getting Captain Falcon?

If they cared about scalpers they wouldn't sell only a few limited editions of mario kart 8 and let the scalpers make all the money. Nintendo doesn't care about the US, get that through your heads

how is that even possible? my bestbuy has had the same mario/peach/yoshi amiibos sitting on the shelves forever. Unless they are counting only preorders, but those have been shutoff for weeks as well.

or maybe the people selling on amazon are morons? Although all I can see under $100 are those sellers from japan. There are also no pictures on amazon so you can't see what version they are selling. I don't see any that say specifically it is the US version under $100.

nintendo's website certificates of compliance shows little mac hasn't been manufactured since October, and the big 3 haven't since september, while every other one has been made in nov/dec. I think there is pretty good evidence that little mac won't be coming back unless it's with the big 3 with a reprint.

It depends on the store. My local BB has been slowly dwindling. I think just a few Peach and Links were left when I picked up a Luigi (with one more left) the other day.

I dropped by the nearby target a few days before that and there was nothing but Marios.

Today I picked up my $5 Ninja Gaiden 3 for wiiU at walmart and the shelves were empty.

The only place I've seen with any real good stock is my local TRU, they had plenty of the commons. Though that was about two weeks ago...

It's not. The 700k number is the rough estimate Nintendo gave for the first three weeks of sales in the US (approximately equal to Smash sales). Pretty sure that article is misinterpreting the blog it cribbed from. The best-selling list at BestBuy.com does not exactly provide specific sales numbers.

Lol exactly. I was looking for these from Week 1 and I never saw a Marth or Villager in stores. I saw them on BB.com and I ordered Marth, Link, and Samus thinking I'd get Villager later...I never saw it again. I guess a few days = weeks to some people.

The only one I saw sitting on shelves was Wii Fit Trainer and I didnt want that garbage. Now that one I could see sitting on the shelves for weeks had they not came out with the possible discontinued stories. I managed to grab the last one at BB right when the news came out. So that WFT was on shelves from release which was Nov. 22(?) until December 6th when the news hit...wow 2 whole weeks and it was the last I ever saw.

For any of you that want to be jerks.

I was a longtime Amazon seller. We sold over 9 million items over the 6 years I was with a company An ASIN is assigned to a product and it has to be sold 100% the same as listed. You are not allowed to differ. It has to be the same serial #, same everything. The condition notes are just that..condition notes. They cannot put things like "this is the Japanese model." The ASIN is for the USA model. 

You need to create a separate listing for the Japanese models (which some people have done).

The people that put that the Japanese / European models on the USA listing are in violation of Amazon's 3rd party seller policy. If you order a Japanese amiibo and its sold on Amazon on the USA listing, you have every right to file an A-Z claim for your money back as the seller technically sent you the wrong product.

Say you can't return it as you gave it away as a gift and Amazon will refund you, especially if it was shipped via FBA.

plus i wonder if we will get the short end of the stick inventory wise again on the next wave? since so many people been importing figures from the other countries i wonder how the sales number are going to add up since there no info of where the orders were delivered only where they were bought from. It would be ironic if we get short supply and Europe and japan get huge shipments due to the exporting figures sales numbers lol

I saw all of the Big 3 multiple times in person before the shortage. I stood in front of 4 Marth on its own peg at a Toys R Us near black Friday. I convinced myself I didnt need to buy him yet as the Ebay price was only 25-30... told myself Id find these later. Villager I looked at the package a couple different places. I wanna say Gamestop and Walmart. Wii Fit Trainer I held a few times as well at Walmart and Gamestop.

I was even able to return a week later to that Toys R Us and get 1 of the Marth before the news hit. Sadly Villager and Wii Fit I had to obtain through trades but thats still part of the fun here.

I knew I wanted to collect all of the amiibos from the start, just didnt know Id have to start so soon.
