Don't give up hope, I had a lost package from BBY delivered today who's last tracking update was over a month ago. Nothing nearly that valuable though.

I wouldn't call the unreleased characters rare. Also, it's pretty apparent that there is some sort of manufacturing issue if some of the figures missed their release date.

I can tell there is based on the terribly inconsistent quality from one to another. It's like you need to buy eight of each, disassemble the parts and Frankenstein them to get a perfect one. Really makes me hate having to pre-order them sight unseen.

Idk if I'd call intentional rarity in an attempt to get people to buy the Wii U and Smash Bros a manufacturing error. Also I wasn't calling every unreleased character rare. Just the ones we know are rare: the Big 3 from wave 1, all of wave 2, and wave 3's exclusives and third party characters.

Maybe they pumped the breaks to produce more rares, derailing the whole process.

Or maybe Nintendo is just nintendoing us.

I saw a whole bunch of Zeldas at my Targets and GameStops. Captain Falcon, Luigi, Pit, Rosalina, Megaman, Sonic, Meta Knight, and Lucario are not out yet. :p

I'm not gonna dig through pages to see if it's been mentioned. But the Shulk amiibo is back in stock at GS. Lucario and Rosalina seem to be permasoldout though.

 
I bought myself an extra Little Mac to keep in the box since he's one of my favs but I would be willing to trade for a Marth (of course I will pay some money too). I just really want to own the whole set. Also I don't care if Marth is opened or not (since I plan to open it anyway).

I cant believe how hard it is collecting these guys. You would think with the way these are selling Nintendo would ship more out.

Nintendo is being smart with the artificial rarity. The Wii essentially died, even in terms of Nintendo's first party support, three years before the other two consoles. And yet, in terms of sales, it won last generation. This was in large part due to the hype it generated at launch. It was basically sold out as soon as it arrived in stores for the first two years of it's life cycle. It was a must have item for gamers, collectors, and parents alike. Nintendo did not see that success with the Wii U. Now, here comes Smash Bros. The game comes out and Nintendo shows profit from the Wii U for the first time ever. The game and console are readily available, yes, but there is no real reason not to try to grab some collectors or hype-jumpers with amiibo scarcity. People will buy a wii u and smash bros just for an excuse to buy every amiibo.

Zelda's a popular figure. They made a whole bunch of Zelda. I went Target and Gamestop today and saw tons of Zelda there. You should have an easy time getting Zelda.

just a heads up for all you Amiiboheads, the purchase button on Target's site for Rosalina and luma Amiibo just switched from "Not Availaible" to "Pre-Order Now"

the button still is not actually active yet, but i'm guessing this will be going up for very pre-order soon.

Just checked the mobile site and it is up and active, BUT it gives a "purchase limit, The maximum quantity of this item has already been added to your cart" message without actually letting you add to cart

yeah, im not sure if Target ever opened any wave 3 pre-orders but i see all the ones they have from wave 3 are all blacked out, except a couple minutes ago i was able to add sonic to cart and now sonic is blacked out again
