No luck. TRU put out 19 more Luigis, nothing else. Went to two Meijer, one had Zeldas and the other did not have anything from the 2nd wave put out yet. Went to two GameStops who told me Wave 2B wouldn't be out until 12/30, so I showed both employees the Luigi I had picked up and they were pretty speechless.

 
I got a consolation prize in Diddy Kong (last one at Gamestop) and Luigi at TRU. No luck with Pit or Captain Falcon.

Still no Rosalina though...
 
Should I worry about Best Buy if I pre-ordered Pit and haven't gotten any word on my item? I'm still waiting to pick it up!!! :pray:

 
After giving this whole thing more thought, I'm thinking there's no chance in hell that Nintendo won't make more of the figures that are currently out of stock.  It's not like they're made from rare paints/plastics or anything... There's no reason from them to not make more unless they don't want money.  I know Ninty does a lot of things ass-backwards but this seems like overkill even for them.

I think they're just having issues because they vastly underrated the popularity, the boom of the artificial supply/demand(thanks to hoarder/flipper asshats), and I'm almost positive that whoever is producing these for Nintendo has had some major production problems.

I genuinely believe you will be able to find any figure you want come mid Spring at the very latest.

Pit was delayed to sometime later this month. The site says 12/30, but nobody knows if that is the actual date or a placeholder.

 
So is Pit and Falcon out now? Just wondering if I should hit up Target and Best Buy or not.

I pre-ordered Pit a week before release and Best Buy now states the release date is 12/30/14?!! Is this B.S.!???

They might reprint after all the amiibo are released. They might get released, different trophy, when a corresponding game comes out.

New XenoBlade... New Shulk

New FireEmblem... New Marth, Ike, etc.

Of course... I'm wishing over here.
 
Got my Diddy kong from Best Buy right now. Box isn't in as amazing shape as some other Amiibos I have, but I got another coming in from TRU online.
Choose the best and take one back. No sense in having two of em.
Getting 2 little macs though.
One on the wall and one to open :)

Little Mac & Diddy Kong released over the weekend, Pit & Captain Falcon are delayed until later on in the month. No one knows exactly when or why.

 
So I preordered all of Wave 2 minus Diddy at BB Online to have shipped to me. Still no notice that they have shipped (even Zelda and Mac, who I expected would have by now.) Should I be worried?

 
Sad to see the Rosalina pre order pass but I know it'll be back. My daughter wants her and any time she sees me looking at the Target listing for her she asks "Daddy, did you get Rose-a-wina for me?" I sadly have to tell her "Not yet because of el hoardo grabbing 50 orders of her"
 
This is just like any other release. The first major run of them sells out (not to forget this is the holidays at the moment so that just cleared even more out) but they'll restock eventually. That article regarding them discontinuing some wasn't referring to the stock at this current time, they meant eventually down the line so if you didn't get whoever you wanted no need to worry now.

 
I'm pretty sure that Target didn't sell completely out of their Rosalina allocation in 40 minutes at 5am EST. I'm not counting on being able to preorder one online, but I'll probably plan on being at a store at opening on her release day.
 
Amazon.DE still has Marth, Villager, Wii Fit trainer for 14.99 Euros.  They also have Rosalina for preorder still.  I know its a few extra dollars, but might be worth it to save the headache.  Also you can always preorder Rosalina and cancel if the target thing for whatever reason doesn't work out.  Shulk isn't sold out at gamestop, and gamestop is not only selling it on their website, you know their reps are pushing a preorder on everyone who picks up an amiibo, so if thats not sold out, I doubt Rosalina will be anytime soon.

I don't trust Target in-store pre-orders, they mean nothing in my experience.

In terms of volume I bet GS is the lowest volume seller of these overall. Not only are their stores smaller than others (limiting shelf space) but they also don't seem to draw as much foot traffic for skylanders/DI etc. Parents are probably less likely to pre-order these from GS as well since TRU/Target/Walmart had the market cornered on S/DI figures it seemed and would be natural for them to look for these at the same stores. Obviously that's speculation - but at least anecdotally the stock and sold figures I've received from a few GS Mgrs of their stores is horribly low for the demand that seems to be here for these.

 
Freaking Target web-site!  I have confirmations for 70 of my Rosalina's but the other 30 seem to be out there in the ether.  I wish they would get their act together!  Funny thing is that I lost my job yesterday because I called in sick to get these figures.  A least I will make that money up by selling these bitches on E-bay!

BTW, can I post a link to my own auctions?  Or is that frowned upon?
