Ya know, it doesn't suprise me.
I once read an article, maybe two years ago, where a reporter discussed presidential affairs with another reporter during the Lewinsky scandal. This other reporter was retired, in his 90's and had covered presidents from Roosevelt to Reagan and every primary campaign in between.
According to this reporter, he knew of only three candidates for president who had not had affairs. Not just presidents. He also included primary candidates like Dick Gehpart. He said thatthrought the years he had found some evidence that all but three candidates for president had had some form of affair in their lives.
According to this reporter the only candidates who hadn't had affairs were Harry Truman, Barry Goldwater, and Jimmy Carter. That he beleived every other president., Including Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Bush Sr. had had affairs at some point in their lives. And that pretty much every primary candidate in the time span had too.
Well some of those are pretty well known, Roosevelt had an affair with his secretary i believe, Kennedy...well that goes without saying.
