The old thread hadn't been updated in quite some time, so I decided to make a new one. If you happen to see a sale not listed in the OP, go ahead and post it and I will be sure it's added. The same goes for anything listed that has expired as most sales have no set time frame, let me know and I will remove expired sales. Thanks!

I root for the Lions, so....

Anyway, according to Max Payne's page only "Gamestop wireless controllers and some USB controllers" work with the game. Maybe purchase/download to try a Bluetooth controller, and if not hopefully it's still within the time period to get a refund.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Chinatown Wars are on sale for $2.99 (I already have GTAIII so I can't see that price). I've been waiting for a sale on Vice City and still have over $20 Play credit to use, so I'll probably bite.

Epic Adventures: La Jangada (Full) is a limited time G5 freebie.

I wonder why Costume Quest isn't available for Android yet. I remember they had Costume Quest part of Humble Mobile Bundle 12 back in March. I thought for sure we'd see it on Google Play or Amazon by now.

Kind of hoping they'll make the Back to the Future Telltale game available on Android as well. They have it on iOS.

All of the scriptMicro educational apps for kids are free again.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_mobile-apps?_encoding=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=scriptMicro&node=2350149011

They now have 1095 Underground apps available. Lots of duds, but a few diamonds in the rough in there.

They have My Town: Police and My Town: Hospital available for free on there. Strange that the first app isn't on there.

However, the first game My Town: Home is available on Google Play for free.

What is the business model of Underground? Is it just the extra metric collections that somehow make it worth it to have a lot of free games? Not sure what the thinking is there.
The business model is that Amazon tracks how long a user plays an Underground game. Then there's a dollar (well, a percent of a cent) attached to the amount of time and then Amazon pays the developers that amount according to their structure. The incentive for Amazon is that a person will purchase apps from Amazon and not Google Play (unless they're using a Fire device of course).

nVidia has launched their streaming service GeForce Now. It seems like a great deal at $7.99/mo. and there are recent titles like Witcher 3. The first three months are free when you sign up with a credit card. Has anyone with a Shield device tried it yet? Post your experiences.

Edit: It's not Witcher 3, it's Witcher 2 in the subscription plan. Witcher 3 is available separately to buy.

I've played it as the GRID service. They just renamed it for the official launch.

It works well, but honestly, the 50 or so games that you get as part of the subscription are either pretty old or a Lego or racing game. A few indie games in there too. It was okay for free but I haven't even played it for months because of what I, at least, found to be a pretty dull selection of games or games I played on console.

The ability to play newer games may sound good but you're paying full MSRP for the games. Like Shadow of Mordor is $50, a game that could have been had for $20 or less during console sales.

Guess it's ok if you don't have a console or gaming PC. But far from a great deal if you have those other options IMO.

I just noticed today that they have a new thing called the "Featured Underground App of the Week" on Amazon and it is Monument Valley It says it's a $5.98 value because it includes the expansions.

I wonder if this means it will only be free for the week or just that they are showcasing it for the week. I guess we'll see next week. If you are interested in it, maybe you should buy it this week in case they decide to pull it.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is currently half off at $2.99 on the Google Play store.

Also, can anyone suggest a free media app that will allow me to play MP4 files directly from an SD card on my Shield Portable? I'm getting prepared for the possible power outages from the East Coast Nor'easter this weekend.

EA announced they'd be removing Dead Space on September 1 but it's still there. This might be your last chance to grab it.

Perhaps some more of these are also going away soon.

Sweet, bought a bunch of those to never, ever play because I'll carry on playing Civ, Football Manager and Kingdom Rush.
Exactly. I think I do the same thing. Just getting it because it's dirt cheap and I have tons of Google Play credit burning a hole in my pocket. Probably will never play them. But there's a chance. :)

Free credits from Google Opinion Rewards for doing short surveys.

I love Kingdom Rush. Still waiting on them to update the Amazon versions of Kingdom Rush Frontiers and Kingdom Rush to work on regular ol' Android devices. They seem to only work on Amazon Kindle/Fire devices at this time. Kingdom Rush Origins now works with other devices.

Luckily the original Kingdom Rush is free on Google Play and it has the ability to earn free gems by watching ads. :)

Halfbrick never updated the Jetpack Joyride Amazon Underground version so that it has the Back to the Future update. I was really hoping they would since there are free in-app purchases in the Underground version.

The teaser is that I have gotten push notifications from the Amazon version that the Back to the Future features are in the game, only to find out that they weren't when I selected it. :(

The Google Play version has it, but I really don't want to spend $9.99 to unlock the Back to the Future Forever Pack. I love Back to the Future. Hopefully Amazon will eventually get the update so I can get it for free.

Oh you can unlock 3 free characters from Back to the Future to keep forever if you do it during the event. You get Biff, Doc, and Marty. No cost. You just need to collect enough Flux Capacitors to unlock each.

That sucks with Underground. Amazon as a whole has a crappy track record on getting new updates late or never. But I'd be willing to bet that the Back to the Future content will be intentionality held back from the Underground version.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I'll hold out for it get updated. I have 26 more days before it ends. I might end up spending my credit if it doesn't get the update before then.

Oh and I also noticed that today's "Featured Underground App of the Week" on Amazon is Jetpack Joyride. People need to contact them to do the Back to the Future update. Twitter, Facebook, etc. :)

Last week it was Monument Valley and it's still available for free. So I guess it's just them highlighting or featuring a popular freebie and not that it's only for the week.

Bunch of Kemco games on sale for 99 cents.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=KEMCO&hl=en

And before anyone asks yes I own most of them and no I haven't played them. :p Except for Symphony of Eternity and eh, itsalright.

Blood of Calamity and Valkyria Soul I think haven't been put on sale much/at all in the past because I don't own them but the rest have been on previous sales.

I've had the Amazon Kingdom Rush Frontiers on my Shield Tablet for quite a while now.

I keep getting more and more credit through Google Play. I think what I'm going to start doing is replacing games I have through Amazon with the Google Play versions when they go on sale.

I can't believe the BTA for this is $5.56 currently. Kemco pretty regularly runs $.99 sales on their games. I'd only dive on the $1 level if you have any interest in this.

Didn't see a topic on this, but Google is having a sale for android games right now.

Monopoly

Need for Speed

Fleece Lightning

Contre Jour

Spider Jack

In Fear I Trust

Power Ping Pong

Robbery Bob 2

Dead Space

It's funny not funny, I really wanted Dead Space in that deal. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition with Kit Kat, and a Nexus 6 with Lollipop. Neither of them are compatible. My old phone, a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Kit Kat, is though. What's up with that?

That's... huh. What the deuce? It's compatible with my phone (HTC One M8), but I'm not on wifi yet for it to finish downloading. I'm cautiously optimistic about how it plays.

I think the problem is that it's an older game and EA dropped the support for it, so it hasn't been (and probably won't be) patched to work with some newer devices. If you look at the reviews, some of the people that HAVE managed to purchase it (including a lot of people with a Nexus 7) have had issues. It's running great on my Samsung Galaxy Stardust, though.

On a side note...does anyone know why Dead Space is still, according to my battery stats, constantly using 10-20% of my battery even when closed and/or force stopped?

Might have to finish it and uninstall it.
