Animal Crossing: City Folk - Gen. Discussion and info
Also, have you guys played any games together recently? I was taking like a one month break from CAG for some reason.
Nope I'm starting to have withdrawals. We need to get together soon. Me and SuperPhillip been trying to get together to play Tiger Woods '10 for the last week or so but we never are free at the same time.

Dont give anyone ideas I dont wanna be trapped forever from pitfall seeds...lol

Alright everyone, after abandoning my town for 3 months, I've decided to head back in and check what's happening in Cherery. I am going to play sometime tonight and hopefully the townsfolk won't be too angry with me.

However, I'm going to have to get a haircut. Honestly, I'm just thinking of starting a new town, but I won't do that, lol. Sadly, I don't know if I can stick with this game, since I just don't find that much stuff to do in the game, except for holidays and stuff.

I recently wanted to play this again after visiting the Nintendo Channel and watching the Animal Crossing City Folk May video on there. That woman speaking the whole time compelled me to play.

So, I ask any other Caggers if you wish to join up again on Animal Crossing and make this game amazing again, one night at a time.

Yeah I'm up for playing. I get on at least every 3 days to sell my fruit. Leaving for Panama City Beach on friday though so my gaming while have to rest for a while. Are you playing right now?
I SWEAR! TODAY IS THE DAY I PLAY A BIT MORE!...hopefully.

I got school though, so it'll have to wait until 3:30 pm EST.
Work til 3:30 CST time so I might be able to meet up with ya later on.

Anyone up for Animal Crossing City Folk tonight? I have a couple errands to run but I will be back in a little while. I will check the forum when I get back and post if anyone is interested.

I'll be playing in 5 minutes, lol. Going to visit my town at night and see how long I can keep myself busy at night. :D

I need to get back in touch with the Animal Crossing series. I loved the Gamecube one to death.
I'll play soon actually. :D

BTW did you get my message? I think your Ry.... Maybe I'm mistaken.
Yes I did, thanks for the fossil. I'm going to get on now. I'll come to your town if you want.
Give me a couple of hours actually, gotta do stuff.
Ok I'll go do some fishing, trying to save up some cash in the game.

Alright, I'm up for playing today. It's wicked hot out though... Just tell me the time and I'll hop on. Give me around an hour though.

I'm also working on my Regal set of furniture right now. I need the floor and wall if anyone has either or both. :D Whatever the cost is, I'll pay for it and give some extra money.

Sorry for double posting, but it seems the community for this game is completely dead around here. At least the online is, :/

Hope to see you guys around when the next Animal Crossing is released!

EDIT: I am also reading that this game has been discontinued along with Animal Crossing: Wild World, so I guess we'll be seeing a new Animal Crossing game next year... Wow, time sure flies. I feel like this game just came out 6 months ago. :p

I would play but I don't have the game yet unfortunately. Really late to the party. And probably won't be getting it for a few months...How depressing.

You should probably just wait iRent, I think they may be releasing either a new Animal Crossing in a little bit, since the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS will definitely have Animal Crossing on it in a year maybe.
You could pick the game up pretty cheap, but the game is alright. It still has the nice charm and stuff of the first game, but it's just not as good as the first game.

I'd love to play with people, since I have some pretty good ideas for Wi-Fi games. I mostly got the ideas after watching this guy's Youtube videos.

It'll be in shambles, trust me Trillian, lol. So glad to see so many people posting in here again. With that being said, anyone want to set up some game time this weekend or something?
Finally got my last fossil. I've been waiting for that thing for months.
Nice, I still have quite a few to go. :applause:

Does anyone else tend to leave this game for a few months, only to come back and start again anew? I've owned all three Animal Crossing games, and I always tend to stop playing after a couple months, only to come back a half a year later to try again.

The best part is that it is still as addicting as ever. I have been playing this enough to pay off my house debt completely every day. I feel like it used to take me forever to do this.

I don't think I can go back. I was hooked on the game- actually, the entire series- but things became so tedious in this one after some time. I hope the sequel can offer some new stuff while not changing the basic formula of the series.

Yeah, I loved the Gamecube version quite a lot, I'm starting to wonder if it was due to my young age, or if it is due to this version of Animal Crossing... Maybe it's also the weirdness of not being able to play with a Wired Controller for some reason... Hm... These questions I wonder. However, I think Animal Crossing 3DS will most definitely be a bit different, as from screenshots the characters all seemed to be taller. Maybe this is to help the 3D effect? Who knows.

I still play it. I worked all of June except for three days and my town took a beating. It really is bad that your flowers will die so quickly. I am starting to lose interest as there is nothing left for me to do but get these flowers the way I like them and have a great memory of the game. I never could find enough friends to visit.

I think I am finally done with the game. I was playing this morning and just became disenchanted... The flowers die if you are gone for more than one day... there are no more series of furniture to get... no more fossils... too lazy to dig for the last few bugs I need... and only need about 2-3 more fish.... My only regret is that I am going to miss Pudge with his little green ears.

My goal with this game was to get all the fossils, all the fish, and to pay off my house. I have two out of three goals done, and only have a few fish left, and then I'm pretty much done with it too. I just don't have the motivation any more.

Damn dawg, you played 2 years straight.

Well, the game is very addictive. I had gotten to the point where I was setting my clock in real life JUST TO GET UP AND WATER THE FLOWERS...
I hope there is a sequel where you don't have to water the flowers daily and where your grass doesn't die so quickly...

GCN version was best, but man CL-Insanity, you definitely were one hardcore player... You going to be back for the 3DS version?

I loved the Game Cube and DS versions (Game Cube one was the best), and I just got City Folk. Hopefully I will enjoy it as much as i did the GCN and DS versions.

If you want to play online just let me know. We can exchange friend codes. I can help you with fruit that's not native to your city.

Thanks! I remember how hard it was to get all the fruits on Wild World and would love any help I can get lol. My Wii is currently offline (not compatible with my wireless network) but I'm going to get a USB adapter so I can hook it up to my router.

Thanks! I'll hopefully get the adapter this week so I can get my Wii online.

My brother and sister have been playing Animal Crossing City Folk a bit in the past few days. It's going to get annoying, when the 3DS version comes out and they keep nagging me to play.

I am not a big fan of handhelds... but I might just get this one....

I might get the 3DS version. I'm going to wait and see what other games are available for the 3DS before I get one though.

Is this game going to get an uptick in play now that it's part of the "Selects" line? If so, I could potentially be up for some online. I haven't played in eons, but my kids were playing it the other day and it got me to thinking....

I'm afraid my town is a bit more of a wreck. :) Here's my friend code in case I do manage to get online:

I'll need to put yours in too. I don't guarantee I'll be on any time soon, but maybe I'll be more motivated to get to it now!

Oh, and tell me what yours is. It's not in the OP.
