Animal Crossing: City Folk - Gen. Discussion and info

I'll need someone else to confirm this for me, but I checked out the "Nook changes his prices at 12 AM thing," and it looks like he DOES change it, and the price remains in effect for 12 hours.

So instead of it being 3 prices a day, it's just that the late night change ends up being the morning price for the following day.

Yesterday it was 122 in the morning, then 77 during the day, then 99 or so at night. When I checked this morning, it was still 99. So I think there's still only two prices a day, technically - it's just that you could argue there's three.

But like I said - someone needs to confirm this with me.

I might be around tonight if people are chillin'. Got a small Christmas concert to go to 'round here.

Also I have a Peking Man fossil if someone wants it. I could use an ax and/or coconuts.

Also - DOOMED - I need to return the kitten to your place. :/

ooh, i'd love to get in on that. i'm not sure if we're friends though. what are your #s.

It just turned 4PM in my town....and immediately began to snow.

'Canth huntin' be on, people. I'll open my gates. I am busy tonight so I'll most likely be AFK the grand majority of the time.

I'm gonna have to add you. I'm in the OP.

Ugh, Nook is remodeling today. Would someone mind opening his/her town so I could sell all these fish? I'm even out of room at my own house. It's packed to the GILLS (couldn't resist the pun) with sea butterflies, football fish, and red snappers.

I'm selling them on 'Zeebee'.

I'm coming soon Strell. My loan is paid off, so tomorrow I get a second floor on my house. :D I bring tidings of great cherries. And if you don't want them, I'll sell that shit for 500 bells/each.

edit: fail/10. People need to leave so I can catch some...

Question in regards to Wild World.
If I brought a character over, I am only bringing:
1) That character (how he/she looks)
2) Their catalog
...and that's it?

Like anything in your pockets count?

Also. Are you moving that character OUT of your Wild World town? So next time I turned it on, that character would not be there?

Could I possibly move my City Folk character into Wild World?
Help me out here,

I don't think we've really discussed this feature, and I'm slightly interested.

That is correct, no items you have on or are carrying. Just what he/she looks like and catalog.

I do believe they make references to you playing another AC game though as well.

Holy moly, turnips are worth 512 bells here! All that work selling my turnips for ~350 at jdm's gf's town... haha.

I'd let you guys in but my brother is kinda antsy about who I let into his town. I can't really do anything about it (well I can, but.. to make a long story short, he's special and makes huge deals about small things). He said I can let people in if I charge a fee. Haha, any takers?

My brother is really crazy too, and he says if your brother doesn't take that fee away, he's going to make a HUGE deal out of this. I'll pay you 1,000 bells.

I am trying to visit my town in Wild World..
I am doing this..

Visiting a town

* Talk to Copper at the Town Gate, and select "I wanna go out!" and then "DS Suitcase".
* Select DS Download Play on your DS, and download the DS Suitcase. When this is finished downloading, close your DS with the power still on so that it enters sleep mode, and head to a friends house.
* Load up City Folk on the Wii, and select "DS Suitcase" on Rover's menu.
* Open your DS and select "Connect to the Wii" to transfer data. When this is done, turn off the DS.
* When you've finished at the other town, make sure to return back correctly, else you'll lose your items and Bells you had before leaving

..But when I walk through the gate to go to my Wild World town.. it brings me back to the main menu..and... I can't see go to to my "friends" house.

What the fuck?

I don't think you can visit your Wild World town. I think you can use DS Suitcase to visit someone else City Folk town if you bring the DS over to their Wii.

You are the second person who mentioned this. How can you get a 12am price when Nook is closed at like 9 or something? I have Nookway and he closes damn early. That is the reason I have my AC clock set several hours early. Otherwise I'd never be playing when that bastard is open.

Also, are coelacanths only early? Me and the kids spent like 2 hours when it was snowing the other day and never even saw one but I think it was 9-11 pm or something.

Nook's Cranny: 8am-10pm
Nook n' Go: 7am-1pm
Nookway: 8am-10pm
Nookingtons: 9am-9pm

It's not out during the day (9am-4pm) but should be out the rest of the time. I know how you feel though, as it was snowing all day yesterday for me but I did not manage to catch one. Must be pretty rare.

The different Nook stores are open at different time. I have a Nook'n'Go and that stays open till 1 AM.

Haha... yeah, the DS Suitcase just uses the DS Download Play feature to store your character temporarily so you can bring him/her over to a friend's Wii to visit their town.

I'm not sure what would happen, but they stress to bring your character back to your Wii and do the DS Suitcase thing again... maybe you just lose any information from when you visited your friend's town?
I have a meteor shower in my town right now. Does that mean anything special?
If I remember right from Wild World, if you can tap yourself in time, you make a wish and you get a present in the mail the next day.

IS YOU STILL LETTING PEOPLE IN TO COME CAN HAZ SELL TURNIPZ?

I'm watching The Office, so I'll try to get on in the next 20-30 minutes. I'm on the west coast so, if you guys stay up late its possible I can open it up. =p

lol. My brother was like, "you better charge them or else"

I'm sure he'll enjoy that 10k. haha.

EDIT: gates closed.

Turnips are currently 569 bells in my town if anyone's interested.

Gates are open, but I still have to add the friend codes in the OP. I'm also looking for non-peach fruit, especially oranges and coconuts (hint hint).

What's everyones limit on buying turnips? I don't mean how many you'll buy, but the price. This week Joan sold them to me for like 106 and last week was 104.. I think anything more than 115/120 is too much.

Yeah, 115/120 is about right.
