How come i cant catch a damn Coelacanth :bomb: Its been snowing today and yesterday and i havent been able to catch any.

You should add feng shui to your house. The whole right side can be red. The whole south wall can be green, and the whole left wall can be yellow.

CAG AC:CF Secret Santa 2008

Yup. You heard me right. We are doing our very own secret santa on CAG for Animal Crossing: City Folk (got the idea over on another AC board). The rules are:

*You must PM me by the 13th of December (Next Saturday)
*PM type of gifts you would and would not enjoy to recieve
*You must be on OP (updating tomorrow, finally)
*There is no min. or max., but don't be cheap to your fellow cheapass. Get them something fairly decent.
*No sending bells, it is not very creative and shows little thought put into your fellow CAG.
* You may send it by mail or in person, though it would be nice to send it with a nice letter.
*You will be PMd your giftees FC on either the 13th or 14th and the other person will be PMd yours (but not name or town, as it wouldn't be "secret" enough ;))
*Final date to send is December 24th.
*Other banned items: Fossils, Flowers, Fruit, Gyroids (Unless you specifically ask for these things)
*Don't ask for hard to find items like the royal crown, be fairly general with it (ie Lab furniture)

It is going to be tough to track everyone, I know, but thats why I needed to put a bunch of restrictions on it. Also, my recent adventure in turnips gave me enough insurance in case assholes dont pay up

I've been doing this and now I have a question: if you have the full house expansion, will adding feng shui to all the floors have triple the effect?
 
Each piece of furniture adds points to the feng shui points. I guess they are like lucky points. So, you should try to squeeze in as many points as possible if you really care about it. Or just make it blend in with the furniture set! Like, let's say you have a jingle set, you should add a christmas tree in the lower right corner. It would look nice and give you points.

I don't think Feng Shui helps with fish or bugs. This guide says it doesn't, and I think another said it does. I am guessing it does not!
 
I thought orange items were included for the top side of the room too?

So.. using feng shui on more than one floor = more luck, or no effect? =[
 
It was snowing in my town just now. I'm starting to map down territories so I can go for a Perfect Town.

I've got 2 Coconut Trees growing, and hopefully, 2 more are on the way. I planted a Pear last night, and I think I lost track of it. I don't see any dying trees anywhere, so hopefully it's growing. I'm just sort of trying to get stuff to grow right now so I can fully go for a Perfect Town in a couple of weeks.

Same here. I got a bunch of non native fruit growing and just got some coconuts from Memphis last night. ;) Im trying to get a bunch to rake in cash and have some for storage when i want to map out my town and fix it up real nice. Only problem is i dont know if trees die if you plant them where a house could end up if a villager moved in? Plus i dont want to block an area where i could put a fountain or lighthouse at by planting trees in the way of a good spot. Hmmm.
 
Right now, my town is set up like a factory- I'm going to plant as many trees as I can around nooks, and use that to harvest fruit until my Mortgage is paid, etc. Then I'm going to develop the rest of the town.

Oh yea- and my charm this month is that people need to plant 1 tree in my town.

Too bad making a perfect town doesn't make the town look nicer. I think it looks ugly with too many trees, since I was just trying to make a perfect town. It's kind of hard to plant trees correctly, near where a neighbor could move in, that is. It will die if it is planted where the house would be located. Some spots around the sign will allow plants to grow, but others won't. You should test it out.
 
The Able sisters are selling a crown for 1,000,000 bells in my town today. I dont have nearly enough to buy it. So if someone wants it let me know and ill open my doors.

Why does Gracie's store always have the same stuff?
 
I'm guessing because as long as it's in stock it's in style?

Oh, and a quick question. How do you guys change your Town Gates? Do I have to do Town Donations or is it something pre-determined?
 
Ehh Gracie's is never going to change ever, it's basically that Achievement type store. I guess if you buy all the furniture and decorations for your house then I guess you achieved buying all of it. It probably does give a high house rating though.
 
Nook's had a silver rod today. I'm trying to decide the best way to divvy this out.

I think I'm going to have a fishing contest tonight. I think I'll open up at about 7pm CST. First three people in get to play. Whoever catches the most fish, gets the rod. Good luck.
