Animal Crossing New Leaf

I have to run to work now, but Gracie is in town and I need a couple Basic items to pass the test. I have a shirt and shoes already, but need either shorts/pants, hats, socks, or accessories. Anybody can help me out a little later? I'll be more than happy to tip! Thanks!

 
Ugh... I demolished the wooden bridge so I could replace it with a fairy tale bridge, and now Isabelle is telling me I can't build it exactly where the last one was because the flower clock and the fountain are in the way.... So why was I able to build them there before? Rrrggghhh

Edit: since all other bridge placements wouldn't be how I wanted it, I ended up having to make a new character, building his tent on top of and demolishing both the flower clock and fountain, then deleted him. FINALLY Isabelle let me build the fairy tale where the old one was, at the cost of two PWPs. She better let me put the two back where they were or I's gonna cut a bitch (female dog....)

And instead of continuing up, my turnip prices went back down. Hopefully someone here gets a good price and will be open around 230 am EST tonight. (Working 2nd shift this week with overtime)

Stalking /acturnips this morning seems like it might have paid off, now to see how long it takes to get to my group. 

 
Well, my turnips are at a whopping 77... So, if anyone here ends up with good prices, I would definitely be willing to come over lol
 
I'll know in a couple hours if I'm in a declining pattern or looking at a big spike Friday evening.
 
No one with good prices?! ugh the one week i go crazy to try and hit that gold badge with 2mil bought...i might have to settle and try gold another week. Oh well.

I'm kind of getting a big spike in turnip prices, earlier they were at a little over 90 and it jumped up to 188 right now. So hopefully tomorrow I get a big increase so I can open up for you guys!

 
Took about one and half hours to get in but got my turnips sold. 

ETA: and decreased in price again so no joy selling in my town tomorrow.

Turnips are going for 130 in my town. I could have a spike tomorrow morning, so I'll keep everyone posted.

And anyone have Basic clothes I could borrow/buy from? Gracie is in town...

Sir: Come to my free for all. Right now. I just opened. I just checked and I have items right now that are considered basic.

 
NICE!!  I have yet to see Gracie even though I've had TIY for a while. :(  My body will be ready though!

I'm open for anyone who wants to come in for free fossils, ores, Nintendo items, clothing, furniture, and wallpaper/carpet.  Probably gonna do a big sell-off Friday night of things unless people pick up a ton of stuff because there's just way too much stuff on the ground. :p

Alright i hit 347 price this afternoon. Decent. I was hoping for better. I just sold all of mine and will open my gate in about 20 minutes...i have a little clean up to do and need to extend my path a bit since retail is bottom left corner. Ill check back here right before i open in case i have add anyone.
 
Quick questions: I'm in someone else's town trying to get a villager to move into my town when my villager leaves. How do I do that? Just talk to them a bunch of times and they'll show up in my camping tent? An explanation would be appreciated. Can't find it on google...

If you already have 10 villagers, you're sol. Time Travel until that 10th leaves. Then go talk to the villager you want in your town. In your first exchange with them you'll be prompted to tell them to move in, and they always say yes.

You just keep talking to them until they mention coming to your town. If you agree and they don't, keep talking and try again.

Sometimes, they'll play a game with you (rock, paper, scissors), and if you win, they'll move to your town.

Thanks to everyone who visited while I was away!  I was really busy this afternoon IRL, cleaned the whole house then had to feed/clean for 4 cats.  Finally relaxing a bit!

I swear to the fucking Flying Spaghetti Monster, Nintendo is terrible at programming online stuff. Why in the hell does the entire game have to pause and practically shut down when visiting another town and someone else arrives or leaves? It's downright maddening, and network errors seem to occur more frequently when this happens.

I know. I can only connect to about half of the people on my list without a resetti. And then the whole "Someone has arrived" (please wait for a minute while they get off the train) thing is crap too.

EDIT: And sorry Dawn, that was me that Resetti'ed you.

After seeing how smooth online play is on certain Vita titles (especially with Party Chat, which is surprisingly well-done) it makes me even madder. Sometimes I really do wish that Nintendo would go 2nd or 3rd party... the idea of Sony's online infrastructure (esp. across platforms) with Nintendo's 1st-party quality would be a dream come true. And I say that as someone who owns and loves both the 3DS and Vita.

 
Its cool. I don't think anyone lost anything. Yeah its frustrating for sure. Ill play for hours with my sister and it sucks that we constantly have to be saving afraid of resetti instead of just enjoying the game.

Did this happen with cityfolk? I didn't visit towns that often back then so i don't recall.

From a programmers perspective, I can kind of understand why AC stops and saves every time someone joins or leaves (unlike an online shooter, the state of every single object in-game is vital, and therefore needs to be saved/prepared for every single user.

That being said, the ridiculous resetti that is caused by players joining or just meandering about is insane and speaks to net code written so poorly there's no safe fall back, resulting in a poor player experience for all. Freaking awful, in those cases.

Saving is one thing, but do we need to watch the train pull up and the person get off/board the train every single time?

 
My wife's game changed the date on its own somehow. She opened it up last night and her date was 1/1/12. I got her clock right and the only side effect seems to be her messed up hair. Anyone heard of this happening?
