Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I didn't realize the $10 sets were subtitle only, as I had just bought the blu ray last year and paid no attention to the other options. In this case, they didn't just add the exact same thing to the sale later on, so that isn't nearly as bad as I first thought.

yup, unfortunately with the sentai releases you have to be careful if you care about dubs, as a number of their shows are released sub only then when they are released later they have dubs.

Ghost Hound is really, really good. It's very unique, and I've never watched anything quite like it before.

I didn't managed to finish it, what i saw of it was alright, but rather forgettable.

A funi rep at the last con I'd went to had said that Kamisama Kiss actually had the highest viewership for a streaming show that they had simulcast by a huge margin. So maybe viewership for the streaming stuff will impact future releases. So, hopefully the Kamisama set will sell well and translate into more premium editions in the future. I still miss Bandai's limited editions.

I agreed, C had an interesting concept, but it could've been done better. Even my favorite character, Masakaki, could not save the show. And he didn't even do much. :lol:

lol @ the Fate/Zero box on sale. Speaking of overpriced things, the Blue Exorcist movie is hitting on Blu here for a whopping $70 and a somewhat overpriced $30 DVD. To note, the movie is pretty good and it's set before the anime goes off the non canon route by making

Yukio into a demon.

Is it likely that the newest Aria litebox will show up in this 12 day sale on rightstuf? I really want any parts of the show for a good price but don't want to get my hopes up checking back every morning. Also, there's not a big difference between this set and the original set other than packaging is there?

It's used, so it'll be ymmv.

The upc is to the LE version, so it'll all just depend on your luck.

I was just kind of curious to as how the items like this tend to arrive. I have seen many items on GoHastings that seem to be the LE without them being labeled as such. Anyone have personal experience with getting the full limited edition when the UPCs match up, but the item isn't labeled?

Lain is gone btw. Hopefully one of you guys were able to snag it!

Hit or miss. I say I've had 80%-85% of it arriving with all the extras, which isn't terrible, but still kind of a low chance with all things considered.

Doubt the Litebox will show up. Actually, I don't think any of the Nozomi Liteboxes have shown up.

Anyway, the Liteboxes do not include the bonus booklet with interviews/storyboard/sketches, etc. However, the discs themselves are the same.

Nana is frickin' fantastic. Viz has been talking about re-releasing it sometime next year at a cheaper price point, but if you can find the sets for $25-ish now, I'd say snap 'em up.

I've only read the manga, but Nana is absolutely great. One of my favorite manga series. From what I've heard the anime is great too.

I'd highly recommend it. The series is fantastic. Just don't expect a music focused anime like Beck. The basic story involves a band, but it's truly a more mature shojo series. There's lots of love drama.

Nana is an awesome anime but Id say it has a very different and more mature tone to it than Beck. Beck to me is more light hearted and with Nana at times id let myself get so into it that I was depressed at times lol. The music in Nana is amazing though, I quickly bought one of the cds that has music from the anime. So yes recommeneded if you want Beck but with more serious and realistic drama added one

that being said if you want a proper ending to a story it's a hard recommendation as while the anime doesn't end on a horrible point (not great but not horrible) the manga just ends... the manga writer got sick and stopped creating the manga. She says she will make some more some day but it's been 4 years now so I don't have high hopes.

That's a great deal on Princess Tutu. Don't let the name scare you away; it's a fantastic show. If you liked Utena, Madoka Magica, etc., it should be a real treat.

Princess Tutu is one of my all-time favorites. It's absolutely superb, and that price is a steal.

I always buy cheap series regardless of quality, I think back then might have been when i got tutu lol.

Anyways I don't have nearly the praise the others have for tutu... I actually just watched it (I was rewatching kaleido star and I wanted more so I searched out projects from the creators of kaledio star and found out tutu was from the same team for the most part and thus sat down and watched it) overall it wasn't bad, but I don't even think it makes the top 100 anime for me... way to many reused scenes/plot lines in the middle of the series, plus I didn't really like the cast... especially Mr. Cat... the joke was bad the first time... the next 200 times just was a waste of time :/

It was a gift, I actually bought and watched the show back when the singles were still being released

It's a favorite of mine too, with one of my favorite two-part episodes from any anime series.

The joke I was making was that I read through that old DD thread from a year ago and noticed that every post I made mentioned that they didn't cancel Rahxephon. I never did get a cancellation message, so I guess I'm still waiting for them to get those in stock.
