Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I personally don't mind the repackaged sets. Takes up less shelf space. And easier to replace the case if it gets damaged.

EDIT: Also, did you not order Season 6, or did they send Season 2 instead? Because I don't remember seeing Season 2 as one of the $5 buys...

Lel naw, they are pretty bad. I'm not like others and saying they are complete trash. They have their moments. But in the end, they are pretty bad. Dunno why you mentioned ecchi, we arent even talking about that.

I'm really hoping for the DVD cases now. I like how much less space they take up. I have 3 different packages with mine in them starting to arrive tomorrow. Thanks for the picture. I'm glad I wasn't the only one interested in picking it up at that price point.
 
My inuyasha sets will be arriving tomorrow I think as well. But the tracking number and order number hastings sent me for one of the sets doesn't seem to be working so we'll see.

if you really really enjoy awkward situation humor (and by that I mean weird reactions to stomping of certain parts of the body and S&M/urination scenes in general) it's possible that it can be amusing. As someone that typically doesn't find that humor funny (but doesn't hate it) at best there were a handful of funny moments (to the point that it never crossed my mind that it was trying to be a comedy) mostly it was just setting up for the next fetish scene.

Stopped in at MovieStop again and, among other things, got 2 copies of Gundam SEED Destiny Complete Collection 2 for $8 total.

EDIT: Also got the Gundam SEED Movie 3 LE box for $10, and lo and behold, not only did it have all 3 movies, but they were the original shiny foil covers too!

I received most of my sets today. They were the repackaged thin sets.

But unfortunately one set did not arrive, this was the one I was complaining about in my post. Guess I'll contact customer service.

One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach had dominated the "DBZ-like" genre for so long (and yes, I realize they're not just tournament manga, especially One Piece), that I don't know what really replaces them. In non Shonen Jump stuff, Fairy Tale definitely has a similar vibe. Hunter x Hunter is off and on, Toriko's anime is already done, and they're already going back to Naruto and Dragonball anyway. As someone who grew up with Dragonball, St. Seiya, and Kinnikuman I love me some shonen, though.

You can see it in Shonen Jump Alpha (the English translated digital-only weekly release). Luckily Naruto came back, but man these "flashbacks" to older series feel like page count filler (though I do enjoy World Trigger, and though I'm super confused by the plot, My Hero Academia).

Yeah I've seen all of these and I'm following World Trigger. I'll try out JBA. Anime with dumb names I almost always pass on, so I haven't seen any of it. I'm also a child of DBZ, so I don't get as bent out of shape around these shows as some folks do. Just so tired of the cookie-cutter harem/porno vibe in so many new shows. Fairy Tail is probably the strongest shounen type show out there that's good. I don't want to pick up One Piece since it has a bazillion episodes out there.

I have and it did. It's just the tracking number and order number seem to not exist. I sent them an email and I'm waiting for a response.

Update: They replied to me and the reason why the tracking number wasn't working is because they provided me a USPS link, when they actually shipped it through UPS. So the tracking number worked on the UPS site. Inuyasha should be here tomorrow or monday.

Wonder no more was actually just a continuation of my details of black lagoon.

Tiger and bunny's first few eps aren't amazing (not horrible either) but it develops a nice plot towards the middle and goes crazy for the second half in a good way. it was a show I originally dropped with the japanese release (after the first ep) and gave a second chance in english and basically sat down and watched in one sitting.

As for Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, if you liked sword art and no game I have little doubt you will enjoy this one as well.

 
I've asked this before but with no answer so here goes again.will the new re release of please twins be a remastered version with better video quality or be the same as the original bandai releases.thx for any input
 
It's not a reprint since Nozomi is releasing it, not Bandai.

As to whether it's remastered, that likely depends on the video sent by the Japanese licensors. However, Nozomi's actual video encoding quality is really good (it should be since they usually focus on 20+ year old shows), so it will likely be better.

Howl's Moving Castle on Blu Ray for 16.76 at Amazon. Couple other Ghibli films on sale for 20 bucks or less.

 
Phantom Requiem for the Phantom Part One DVD (Limited Edition) is $2.01 on Amazon through go hastings (so shipping is 3.99).

I'm not sure if this is a deal or not, but since Part Two is $33.74 I figured I'd post just in case.

Heads up that is a PV. Even though it says Used it is a Rental Copy. Hastings is pretty bad about their PV copies. So this probably will come in really bad condition.

 
So I ordered the Inuyasha season 3-7 sets from GoHastings yesterday. Almost the whole series for ~$30?  Yes, please. Now I'll just need to get seasons 1 and 2.

And it turns out they'll be here tomorrow. I looked, and they're coming from Tyler. So that's a nice suprise.

 
Thanks to the poster who posted the cheap Inuyasha sets.  I was looking around for more stuff to order and found a nice pickup.

Agreed, I would not push for this at all. The last LE I got from their Amazon page came in an old blockbuster rental case, and when I called about the mistake their CS was rude and pretty much said they didn't care.

Like barrit said, I can confirm it is just a slipbox like most of Funi's other releases. RS like always shipped them out early so most of us got them already.

I did that a while back. Blew it on Marvel movies instead, because at the time they were more expensive than Ghibli on amazon (like, avg of $25 for Ghibli movies, avg of $30 for marvel). Should have known Ghibli would be the ones that would keep their price.
