April '07 on XBLM (4/30 Red vs Blue Wacky pic pack)
I meant if they priced it at 250 points per 3 songs, it would be roughly $50.
Oh, sorry I misread your post. Yeah 250pts would have been fairly priced.
Way more than that.

Guitar Hero 1 = 30 songs + 17 unlockables = 47 songs

GH II Song packs = 3 songs @ 500pts = $6.25 ($2.08 per song)

Complete GH1 library at this pricing: $2.08 x 47 songs = $97.76 :hot:
jesus christ monkey balls thats alot. screw that im not buying any DLC for GHII.

Xbox.com forums, that's usually the best spot to find screenshots of picture packs.

Wtf, meatball looks like a ball of shit.

And here I thought Monster Madness was an XBLA title . . .

Monster madness wasn't that good IMO. I could see it being fun with 3 or 4 people to play with, but outside that I don't see myself buying this game unless it is ever around the $20 range.

thats how it plays, and thats what it should be.
Wtf, meatball looks like a ball of shit.
I should've looked here before d/l'd the pics. But I thought, "You can't go wrong with ATHF." Man was I wrong, those gamerpics are HORRIBLE! It doesn't even look remotely like Carl!

Still gonna use 'em since I paid my points, though...

Is XBLM down ATM? I can access everything online available (including the video marketplace) except the XBLM... weird? I tested my connection as well and nothing is wrong.

Is there any sort of limit to the demos on the XBL Marketplace? Do they have a time limit? I'm going to have a hard enough time scrounging up $400 for a 360 so I'd like to just play demos until I can buy some games.

Well they are demo's so there is a time limit on that certain game. I know the BF2 demo got pulled recently. It was an awesome online demo also. One Map but games lasted generally 15 mins.

the demos, if I am thinking right, don't expire. They are just short bursts of play, and yes... you can buy a 360 with no games and be very occupied for a while. My recommendation is to save an extra $20 (or $15 here on CAG) for some marketplace points. There's alot of offline games that will keep you occupied for a while from the arcade with Castlevania being the longest.

You can replay them over and over. Once you D/L them, they are yours.

Nice to see them raping you up the ass for content you can get for free online (Red vs Blue).

Srsly, marketplace is a crock of shit, so are "micro"transactions.
But can you replay the demos? Or is it 15 minutes and you're done for good?
The only timed demo I know of is Dead Rising. And that's because if the demo didn't end in 15 minutes, you'd really have no reason to buy the game.

They are just like demos on your PC. Do those expire?

I do enjoy how they have the "Wii Launch Special" and "PS3 Launch Special" episodes of Game Head on there. With complimentary descriptions of both consoles, no less.

Details from Nelson about the maps:

The Halo 2 ‘Blastacular Map Pack’ is now available for download over Xbox Live. This pack is US $4.00, and it contains two maps: Tombstone and Desolation.

Since this is original Xbox content, it’s worth pointing out the following:

You can not purchase these maps with MS points because all original Xbox games have no idea what points are. Therefore, you must have a valid credit card associated with your account in order to purchase the map pack. Please read this article which will show you how to make the changes to your account to add a credit card. All set there, but getting an error when downloading? this may help.

Don't have a credit card? Head down to your local Visa gift card retailer (like a supermarket) and charge one up with just enough to cover the purchase.

The maps are original Xbox content..so when you purchase them, they are tied the console they are purchased on. You can not go to another box and re-download them for free.
According to Frankie, the H2 playlists will be updated shortly to include the new mapage.

For more information on the maps (and screen shots) direct your attention to the thse two articles (one and two) on Bungie.net

It will be a bittersweet purchase, but I'm getting Gyruss. I can't turn my back on my past. On that note, what ever happened to the Atari classics that were mentioned last year that were supposed to sell in two-packs (i.e. Centipede/Millipede, Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe)?
I didn't try LOTR BFM--how do RTSes feel on 360?
It's about as good as an RTS has been on consoles. Short of Wii control, the way they were able to map most every important action to a controller worked out well. You're never more than a couple combo button presses away from doing things as bookmarking groups and opening up menu items.
On that note, what ever happened to the Atari classics that were mentioned last year that were supposed to sell in two-packs (i.e. Centipede/Millipede, Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe)?
I was going to bring that up in another thread. Maybe, just maybe, this two release a week adventure will continue till they can clean up the clogged pipes. With releases like Catan, Eets, Street Trace NYC (which, I guess the developer pissed someone off because they stated they were in line for a February release date), and Band of Bugs planned for the next releases, pairing them up with an ol' standby isn't such a terrible idea.

The mini golf game is actually pretty fun, atleast on the first play through. I will admit that I hated to spend 800 points on an arcade game, but this one is easier to swallow than Texas Hold'Em, curse me for not having a 360 when it was 1st released.

I ended up dropping 1600 point today, on Mini Golf and the Rainbow Six Vegas DLC.
