Are there any girls out there in existence on this man - manifested site?

x0thedeadzone0x

CAGiversary!
I'm a girl as you probably all know and I've announced proudly. Hence my signature. But anyways, I was wondering if I was the absolutely only girl on this entire site or if I'm with female company, because it would sure be comforting to know that I'm not the only person on this site surrounded by a bunch of... guys. If you're a girl, speak up! So I won't feel so.. isolated. Thanks.

Figured I'd ask. :?

I can't figure out why more girls don't play games (unless they're all closet gamers, or something). I would think a lot of guys would dig that in a girl......kind of like finding a girl who loves football.

I'm a female gamer too. Check the avatar!
GBA and PS2 player....but I go all the way back to "Pong" and Atari 7800 and was a fixture in the video game arcades of yesteryear. Now it's all about my GBA and PS2. So I really know what it's like to be a lone female in this male-dominated subculture...

There are a number of websites and message boards dedicated to female gamers. Here are a couple...

http://www.angelfire.com/mo/dawnlynette/
http://www.womengamers.com/
And check the "groups" section over at Yahoo.com...

So you are not alone x0thedeadzone0x!! But I know how ya feel. If you ever want to chat, PM me...

Cheapy should tap the lonely gamer market and set up "CheapAssGamerDating.com"

Of course, most of the excanges would probably be like, "LOLOMGBBQCHICKEN! UR A GURL? DO U LIEK FINAL FANTASY? IM ME SHORTIE!"

*laughs* funny you should say that...because not only am I a female gamer...but a MAJOR sports fan!

Are their any female gamers that are located in Chicago. It would be cool to hang out with female gamers and maybe I can learn a few things in gaming.;)
All the hardcore female gamers Ive met in real life smell. Seriously. Is there a code among them?
Smell like what? Fish? You'll get used to it.

lol! latest deals on cheapassdating.com: 25% off all pre owned condoms! ](*,)

If there was CheapassDating Banky I think you just forfeited all chances with that comment =P

Anyways, today these two girls in my lab class were talking about Street Fighter and MK. I can't even remember what I was doing at that point but I seriously lost all focus. Combine equal parts gamer and basketball fan in a girl and I'd be smitten. Oh yeah plus being Asian would be a plus, and definitely no bad smell

right arcadia... sell it somewhere else. were all stocked up on crazy here. we all know the female video game/sports enthusiast is just some folk lore made up on the high seas by vikings to stave off lonely nights.

Forget sports, I need a girl who likes gaming, comic books, anime, and sci-fi. But I think I have a better chance of finding big foot.

My sister and I are both girl gamers. I got her onto games ever since we were little and played on Nintendo's 8-bit system. Here's a little about my gaming history for those who are curious or just plain bored.

# of female friends who also play: 0
Most hardcore moments: playing 3 days straight when Street Fighter came out on SNES
Fave genre: RPGs
First time I cried in a video game: when Palom and Porom turned to stone in FF2
Last time cried: when Aeris died in FF7
final thoughts: I'm not as hardcore as I used to be

See I'm of the opinion the most female "gamers" would prefer remain annomous lest they get a bunch of weird gamer stalker guys.

And nobody wants that.

I have almost those same exp, let me modify.

# of female friends who also play: 2
Most hardcore moments: Gave repeated beatdowns to 3rd place finalist in the big 2000 Street Fighter Tournament in Cali

Fave genre: RPGs or Fighters
I was said when Palom and Porom turned to stone in FF2.
I didn't cry: when Aeris died in FF7, im a Tifa Fan
final thoughts: I could be hardcore as I used to be

I think female gamers are somewhat ashamed of it too. Just as a straight guy wouldn't want to be considered just ' one of the girls', there's probably a stigma with a girl just 'being one of the guys'. Well come to think of it that girl in the Drew Carey Show was buddies with the guys, hell what do I know

On a side note.. 200 posts, can't wait till next level.. now time to sleep

Girl gamer here. I started playing when I was a little kid on the Atari 2600, and I have very fond memories of the old arcades. Now I play on the Gamecube and PS2. I'm an animation freak too. I even went to school to learn how to do it, and if I ever come into some money, I'd love to go back and finish. My goal was to someday do character models for a game company. I'm also a big X-Files fan, although I don't yet have the last 3 seasons on DVD. Other "guy" activities I enjoy are looking at cars (especially old muscle cars) and building models of just about anything. What can I say, I was always a tomboy when I was a kid and just never grew out of it. I don't mind being one of the guys either, I actually kind of like it. I'm pretty sure I don't smell either *sniffs pit* yep, no smell here.

I've actually been dating a girl that enjoys anime, action movies, video games and things of that sort for the past year.. and she still somehow remains oh so feminine. :p

There's nuttin to be ashamed of if you're a female gamer. I'm female and have been an active gamer since I was a young kid, which was a loooong time ago. Most of the females I know would rather discuss hair and make-up and clothes and jewelry while I'd rather discuss the latest console game deals or the latest hi-tech gadgets. I think many hard-core female gamers get along better with men than women just because the non-gaming women often don't understand the joy of gaming. Go figure.

Then again I can't understand the joy in shopping for clothes or jewelry or attending Tupperware parties or Avon gatherings or...

When I'm elderly and on my deathbed, I don't care if I can't go to the bathroom by myself. As long as I can still play video games I'll be happy. :D

My wife is a sports fan and a casual (platformers, anything with Nintendo characters). Oh, and she certainly doesn't smell...

Banky should run the CAG dating service. ;)

You're one step closer to perfection. And the last 3 seasons sucked (the last 2 anyways) so I wouldn't worry about them.

Why should Banky get all the fun? I wanna yell the loud funny words too!
Let him be the id, I can be the super-ego, and the ridiculous flesh puppets... um, I mean the users... yeah thats it... can be their own ego.

My wife is a gamer (if you count playing only Animal Crossing, Super Monkey Ball, Mario Kart DD and Hot Shots Golf 3 as a gamer)....oh..and of all things, Activision Classics! God, Freeway will someday be the reason I go F'N insane!

Sweet. You're married! I'm glad you're not a little kid. I just thought it would be weird for me to go meet a little kid to trade or whatever. :p

What's this talk about girls being ashamed? I'm not ashamed at all! I'm really into video games, computers, anime... I don't hide it at all. In my experience most girls prefer to be or act dumb even just about stuff in general. They know nothing about computers, especially, which for some reason bugs the hell out of me. I don't know any girl gamer as hardcore as me, and I am not even that hardcore!

My hardcore days were when the NES came out. I played the NES all the time and then later on the SNES, in addition to Legos! (Man, I loved Legos) My friends growing up were mostly boys, even through high school. Once I entered middle school, I unintentionally took a hiatus from video games (i.e. missed the whole n64, dreamcast, saturn "era") As high school came to a close, I became re-interested, and I'm in a long-term relationship with a pretty hardcore gamer. We have great times!

So, I know that was probably too much information, but I am proud that I'm a gamer and have always been proud. I'm proud that I am NOT like other girls my age (I'm 21).

And whoever made that smell comment: 1) it's rude, and 2) it's not true.

I don't think anyone should be ashamed of being a gamer, especially girls, because it's part of who you are. Also, Legos rocked.......in my basement at my parents' house I still think there are about 2 or 3 of those big 33 gallon plastic boxes filled with Legos that I used to build outrageous structures with.

With gaming studies becoming an actual career path these days, I'd be interested to see the results of an in-depth analysis about the scism between girls that game and girls that don't.

I remember seeing something on the Discovery Channel awhile back analyzing how genetics plays a role in why men lean more towards technical jobs then women (also talked about why men are averse to "sensitivity," but thats a topic for CheapAssDating...). I wonder if the same thing applies here? Is there an actual genetic rule that girl gamers are an exception to? It'd be interesting to find out.

by the way...

Anyone else notice that CheapAssDating would have the acronym CAD?

cad: "A man whose behavior is unprincipled or dishonorable"

i.e. 50% off coupon code for all-you-can-eat buffet at sizzler! Date in style, thanks to CAD!

Ditto that. I wish I had the time and space to pull them out and rebuild everything. :)

I still have my legos too! One day my mother asked me to gift them to my 4 year old nephew. I shot her this glance like "Woman your ass must be crazy!"

I dont have my legos anymore, but I used the exact same look when my mother told me to give my transformers to my little brother.

Yeah....all of my Transformers were lost/given away years ago when my family moved when I was a kid (man....I had SOOOOOOOOOO many...I was a freak I had so many). Now, I've had to spend literally thousands of dollars on re-issues and old originals on ebay to build my collection back up. Despite all my spending, its still nowhere near what I used to have....sigh....

yay, i'm not the only women in here. hip hip, hooray :) also , i enjoy comic books, sci-fi a bit, some of anime, and i'm definitely a hard-core gamer. i play every day. things like vice city make me go ga-ga. you can't always find a girl who enjoys blowing heads off of bad guys, then stealing a car for a getaway and bailing out at the last second to be plummeted into the water and blow the helicopters out of the sky with a rocket launcher. well, at least not that i know of.

hard-core or even normal gaming girls are hard to find nowadays, especially in my school. when boys talk about gaming i tend to keep my mouth shut, because if i were to butt in about how much i liked anything, they'd look at me like i had 42 heads and scream.

oh yeah, i also enjoy football. i'm a big fan of the pats, hate to say it for all those people who are resentful we won the superbowl but since i live in MA i am a huge pats fan and i watched every single one of their games. also enjoy other teams too you know. i'm not trying to "suck up" or make up anything like some other guy accused a girl of doing because all of this is true. just because your not used to hearing all these things about a girl doesn't mean that we don't exist. i very proudly would like to announce that i DO exist, though sorry to say that i'm taken, by a male gamer and basketball player kind of (i enjoy basketball as well) so no cheapassdating.com for me :) but i would stick around and enjoy the quirky topics that men would come up with. heh.

big fan of FF, GTA games (as mentioned), my favorite kind of topics are RPG, platforming, shooting, fighting, driving, oh what the hell- anything, as long as its a good game and im not easily bored by it. i can't stand horror games though. silent hill 3 gives me the shivers- turning walls into flesh and floors into blood? sorry, but nooooo. i think i'll pass. and i'd be surprised for you to find a girl like me that DOES enjoy someones limbs, head, neck, flesh being peeled off in a horror movie. :whistle2:&

(my boyfriend enjoys horror flicks but i don't, not ones that are gory anyway. he likes to graphically describe to me whats happening on the phone, as someone's eyes get ripped out, a brain gets splattered, and what not  . most of the time its just him exaggerating though. he likes to push my buttons.) :?

... i think i've got myself a keeper.

ps. i went crazy for legos when i was a kid. you name it, i loved it.

From "As Good as it Gets":

"How do you write women so well?"
"I think of a man, and then take away reason and accountability.

How much do you want to bet that I get yelled at by someone for posting this, and accused of misogyny?

You got of better than me.. Omega Supreme, Megatron, Optimus Prime, Jazz, Prowl, and some of thier companions all joined entire arsenals of Joe and Cobra Weaponry (Rattlers, the Nighthawk steath plane, a terrordrome, the GI Joe base and Mobile Base, Castle Greyskull, Snake Mountain, and tons of other now somewhat expensive to replace figures and playsets when my parents through them away over a decade ago.

right here, that was me. i thought it was obvious that i was joking though, sorry. i know you are a girl. its the only thing that would reasonably explain your blatant abuse of smiley faces.
