Super Mario 64 DS was re-released with red packaging when the Nintendo DS Lite dropped to $99.00 a few years ago (as did almost all of the DS Mario games at the time).  It's sort of like a greatest hits version, but unofficially I think.  More of a celebratory move on Nintendo's part .
