I just called to check on my pre-order. They said the have the game but not the bonus soundtrack that comes with the pre-order. They said it may come tomorrow but that sounds odd. Anyone else had this happen?

My store (an EB, same preorder bonus) received only one soundtrack a month ago. I suspect they'll send a few more out though. It could happen.

I picked mine up at gamecrazy today, they recieved 2 soundtracks but I was the only preorder hehe. I guess an employee was buying it and he took the other one though.

You may want to pick up the game regardless...the game was shipped to Gamestop in alotted quantities...which means when my store gets 4...they get 4. They don't get more.

If they do...it's way down the line.

I got mine, though it's more than possible that your store didn't get any or didn't get enough to fill preorders. I usually get all the preorder crap but for some reason my GS never got the DDS controller armor.

Well this is some shit. I called just now and the guy said they were handing them out BEFORE the game got in. He asked me did I get one. I said no because they told me I would get it when I come in to get my pre-order.

My local GameStop didn't get any in (this seems to happen quite often with promo items; lucky me, I was able to score the one and only Resident Evil 4 CD they received back when that came out), so I cancelled my preorder and ordered from their website instead, which is still offering the music CDs.

I've never had much luck with our B&M GameStop and their preorder giveaways, leading me to seriously reconsider preordering anything with them in the future.

Here's the story -

The game was supposed to ship about a month ago. It got delayed at the last possible minute, but the preorder soundtracks were still shipped to Gamestop to be handed out to the people who preordered.

I went in the day after they got them, asked about the soundtrack, and they told me they had one left, explained what had happened, and told me I could have it if I put $5 on the game.

Anyone who had come in after me to preorder was pretty much screwed. From what I've heard, it dosen't sound like Gamestop B&M are going to get anymore in, as well. You can still order it online and get the soundtrack though.

Well I went about a month ago adn preorder and got a Soundtrack, and then picked up my game today and he gave me another soundtrack, so i got one sealed and one that is not

Thanks for the info. I just ordered from Gamestop.com. I'll cancel my Atelier Iris B&M pre-order tomorrow. I believe I'll cancel my Zelda: Twilight Princess pre-order as well. Do they just let you use the 5 bucks as credit? I have never canceled a pre-order before.

They should give you the five dollars back in cash.

Gamestop has a REALLY bad preorder system though... it was a hassle to cancel one of my preorders a long time ago.

Before giving you your cash, they'll probably ask if there's another game you'd like to reserve with your money first. That's been my experience.

I've never experienced any difficulties with cancelling preorders, though to be honest, I've only had to do it twice. I had my preorder receipt in both instances, so maybe that made the difference... or they've just improved the system.

I canceled a preorder at Gamestop once. Instead of giving the cash back, they give you something like a 5 dollar certificate to be used only at Gamestops. Not sure if all Gamestops work like that though.

That would be fine with me. I have my eyes on Riviera, KOF: Maximum Impact, and Y's: The Ark of Napishtim anyway.

If you're gonna get KoF: Maximum Impact, just score it from CC for $10 come Sunday, unless you're dedicated on getting the Xbox version.

Yeah, the Xbox version for me. I was waiting since it will be Live enabled.

I'm pretty sure that will see a huge price drop very quickly, as well.

I don't see the Xbox version doing well in sales at all, Live enabled or not.

I'd go with Y's out of those choices, but that's just me.

I am probably going to trade in some stuff with the 40% extra trade-in value coupon in this month's Game Informer. I should have enough to get at least two of the games I want without coughing up any money. I liked the Y's demo alot and have been wanting it for awhile.

I would go with Y's and Riviera since you might not see sales on them for awhile. I'm still waiting on a price drop on Y's =/

KoF: Maximum Impact should hit bargain bins in a month - not sure how many people would actually be on Live playing it on it's release anyways :p

That is true. Plus, I hate trying to buy used GBA games. I got a Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance used from EB.com. I looked to make sure "Nintondo" didn't make it. It looked legit but the thing still wouldn't save. I took too long to check it out so I couldn't return it either. :(

I'll just have to trash it .

Being friends with game store employees is better than actually working at one. You get all the freebie stuff that no one picks up and you don't have to deal with the customers.

I was kind of wanting that CD. I forgot to pre-order it though. The bad thing is I haven't been able to find any store in town with an extra copy. I was going to try and buy it if someone had an extra copy.

Well, Gamestop.com still has it with the CD so that is probably the only chance you'll have for it.
I contacted NIS America and they said both Gamestop and EB only gave preorder CDs to online preorders which pissed me off
NIS America is full of shit. I preordered mine at the store and I got mine.

And Guile, get Riviera with that money. It's rumored to have an extremely low production. Ys is coming out on PSP anyway if you miss it.

I pre-ordered Atelier Iris at my local Gamestop, and I didn't get a soundtrack. They didn't give me a soundtrack when I pre-ordered, and they didn't give me one when I picked it up. They didn't even mention a soundtrack. From what I've played of the game so far, I wish I had gotten a soundtrack.

If anyone gets a hold of an extra soundtack they'd be willing to sell, lemme know- my BF bought the game today, and I'm quite sure he'd like to have the soundtrack if we can get it (the store was out, of course.)

I don't have a PSP yet.

Neither do I, but I think Ys is coming out for it near the end of the year anyway. I just wanted to illustrate that Riviera may become rare pretty fast.

I just got a call from my buddy, he picked up the game but the store didn't get any on the soundtrack CDs.

When I picked up Destroy All Humans, I got dicked on the bonus DVD.

I suggest calling their customer service number and asking about the whole thing. Something similar happened with me, showing that the game was "ready to ship", but also showing the 5/24/05 ETA for the music CD. Two days later, they both shipped out. I hope you get your CD; the soundtrack for this game is absolutely amazing.

I'll call....

When did you order yours?

Well I went and cancelled my Atelier Iris and Zelda pre-orders. I was going to go into a spill and tell the guy that the only reason I pre-order is for the bonuses but I didn't feel it would be worth it. Got my $10 crediit back and I also traded these with the Game Informer coupon...

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw $13.50 (I thought I might get a bit more than that)
Sonic Mega Collection - PS2 $12.00 (More than I thought I would get)
Rallisport Challenge $3.00 (Wasn't expecting much anyway)
Metroid Prime $1.50 (I thought I would get at least $5.00 for this)

$30.00 for that...

So I took that $40 bucks and applied it to new copies of Ys and Suikoden IV. I wanted Riviera but the guy said the store had no pre-orders for it and they wouldn't get any until next week. I'll just order it online I guess. I held off on KOF: Maximum Impact too. I figured I can order that from EB.com and get the bonus hat.

I ordered mine the day before it was scheduled to be released. Monday, I think it was.

I might be SOL then....

I see they're not advertising the free CD anymore on the website, but they were when you ordered, so at the very least you can make the case of "Hey, I was promised this when I made my order!" Not to mention the free CD is still listed in your order history, so maybe they're working on it. I'll cross my fingers for you. This is worth fighting for. The soundtrack is *that* good.
