It got shot down trying to PM the Target at the movies deal at BOTH the Kennesaw BBy and the Smyrna BBy.

Ugh, both managers said that the Target ad "wasn't the same" as the bundle they had, I finally asked them to help me find the non-bundle in the store, figured the futile exercise might get some blood to their brains.

I was finally like, "This IS the only version, there is no non-bundle." Kennesaw was my go-to store to avoid the morons in Smyrna with the pricematching problems. It seemed the mental illness that infects the Smyrna store has moved North to Kennesaw; The new man-child manager there is EPIC.

There are two guys in there that seem to like their job and helping people, everyone else is punching the clock- Now Kennesaw is crap.

Someone raped the pennied guides at Cumberland today. I bought a $0.34 Burnout paradise, the guy at the register was laughing and said someone bought them all, he stopped counting them after 20. I finally found a Fable II LE at Kenn.

damn you for finding the Fable II LE! I got to the Kennesaw store wayyy too late...there was a giant basket full of guides..i didn't know if some manager/employee was pullin them or if it was a lone CAG who left his/her cart...but if it was #2...I SHOULDA RUN WITH IT! grrr. And cumberland was indeed cleaned out...i found 3 $0.03 PES2008 guides, a burnout paradise guide and WoW Bestiary Guides x3...the BB at Perimeter tho still has TONS of pennied out guides so have at them. I've already taken all i need :whistle2:D

When I was at Kennesaw it was a few minutes before 11 and there was already a guy putting ALL the pennied guides in a shopping cart. I asked him if he was okay with me taking a few out, he said they were trashing them. There was only 1 Fable II LE.

I guess the Kenn. BBy is getting more aggressive with the pennied guides.
 
I got there just a few minutes after you then. I saw the cart and the only person in the department was helping someone so I looted it for a few guides. You owe me a big thank you for oversleeping.:)

how do you guys tell what guides get pennied? I can never tell or I'm not looking in the right place. I just moved to Kennesaw, so I'm shopping up here now. fuck the cobb parkway best buy.

I'm still looking for Live cards at kennesaw. I know they have some at cumberland but I don't want to drive down there.

Someone already took all the pennied guides there, every one- the cashier told me. You need the list from the pennied guides list in the deal section.

That's annoying. Both you and I were there and there were still plenty of guides left over after we were gone. The people who take dozens of these are just being greedy plus they're going to be left with a lot of stuff worth very little. Decent trading value (only certain ones) but very little resale value.

Yea, that's why I don't like reading to many of the posts in the pennied guide list thread. These people just buy them out and leave none for anyone else.
Is there any reason that I shouldn't have been able to find a copy of Viva Pinata TIP yesterday?

I used to grab 2 of every guide, until I ended up with boxes of them and nothing to do with them and no one interested. The used bookstores wont even take them.

Someone cleaned out the Sydney Marcus BBy too... the cashier told me. Too bad too because supposedly they had a lot.

I was only able to pick up Fire Emblem and Head Coach '09 :(.

At Sideny marcus: SC4LE one left and Assassin's Creed one left as well as some final fantasy guides; Pleasant Hill: Nada; Snellville: Nada. BIA:HH, Madden 09 LE and Battlefield BC rang up full price with Madden ringing up full price at two stores.

EDIT: Lotta posts while I was typing! That makes sense about SM's BB because there was a ton of open space on the guide shelves. Really glad I got the SC4 guide then. Ass Creed was with PC books so it might have not been noticed. I tried getting the regular Madden guide (forgot which was pennied) and the cashier kept trying to get the deal for me saying that it was ringing up a penny all day until someone told her there were two different guides.

I might be interested depending on what you have... I'm missing a lot of the older 360/PS3 ones... Didn't get into the clearance gaming scene until several months ago.

y'all try north point mall..there are a TON of guid4es still left...ESP if you want the Spore LE (but be sure to check over by the PC games cuz thats where it is)..and you really have to look around to find ALL The guides cuzz they hide them sometimes

i grabbed 2 of every guide i could find as well...so if anyone wants some i'd be willing to trade :whistle2:D will be updating my list at sometime this morning..but first...DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE!!!

I think I'm going to have to fucking kill some one to get a Street Fighter IV TE stick for the 360. They stopped pre orders the day before I got paid. Mother fuckers.

I'm surprised you didn't find anything at the snellville BB. There was a ton of stuff there on monday.

I went to Edgewood BBy today and it was raped also... but some how someone left an Oblivion: GOTY guide there and I snagged it! :) They also had about 6 copies of the Warhammer guide but it was ringing up full price :(.

Nope. I went into that store on Monday morning and they had a TON of guides on the shelf. I grabbed a select few (about 10 or so), took them to the register. The cashier girl started ringing them up as normal but in the middle, she called for a manager, so I knew exactly what was about to happen. The manager came over and told me they couldn't sell them to me because they were supposed to have been pulled. I assume they then went back and pulled the rest.

Oh, I know. I was cool about it. There are some people in the penny guide thread that would have flipped out on the guy, but they don't have to selling to me if they don't want to. The manager wasn't a jerk at all, but he also wasn't going to budge, even when I asked him if I could just buy a few of them. No biggie. I got the 3 guides I wanted from another BBY.
 
Wait...is the Soul Calibur 4 guide pennied at Best Buy? I just saw a few at North Point yesterday and though, man I'd love that guide but not a full price. Do the cashiers typically have a problem selling it for that price, thinking it's a mistake? I may go back and try to pick it up.

AC was next to Warcraft and Spore guides, etc.

I saw no guides at all at the Stone Mountain store, only PC guides. Also, they have a few interesting things for 70% off, but nothing jumped out. Turning Point 360 for 9 and Rock band 1 for 18. I picked up RB1 since we have 2 guitars and a mic already and not that interested in the drums, but is 18 good at this point?

Now that is really weird. I was there first thing Monday morning and the dept. mgr. was pulling the penny guides. He had a cart full of them. I asked if I could buy any of them. He told me he had to check and then he came back and said grab whatever you want from the cart. I only grabbed the ones I really wanted. I was too scared to go completely nuts and then he would change his mind. I don't know why they have pulled them all though. The outlook for penny guides looks bleak for the future. I don't use them too much anyway, even for a penny, so it's not the end of the world, like it is for so many people in the penny guide thread.

Well if we really wanted them we could buy them on ebay for about $4 shipped since most of them don't hold value for very long at all...
 
I dropped by the East Cobb Kroger on shallowford.
I picked up several of the $2.99 & 3.99 HD-DVDs.
Inluding the last Children of Men combo and last Hot Fuzz.

The last Hd-DVD I am looking for is Dazed and Confused if anyone spies a copy please me know.

Hey guys, just to give you an update. Grams is doing good, recovering and is in good spirits. A girl I work with and have gotten to be good friends with is throwing me a birthday party @ Hemingways in Marietta tonight. So good things all around.

I'm pretty sure there were none at Cumberland in Decemeber when I got Singstar, otherwise I would have gotten it for 15 there and then.

Question:
Did the AJC (Friday's) have the Madagascar II DVD/Blu coupon?
I didn't buy one until late and it was the last copy pinned inside the paper box window so I am not sure if I missed it or not.
NM: I found it on A9, I was looking for a sheet like the last set.

Lastly, I have a report from my brother in Dalton. The Walnut Ave. Kroger has HD-DVDs @ the promotional/seasonal isle near pharmacy in the big cardboard bin. No one is buying (still have about 30 all combo format). They only had a few titles I wanted.

Erp, way to drunk post there Mitchy. I think the onus is on me for what happened last night upon reflection. So we all had fun at Hemingways, left there about 11 and made our way over to Brewster's Bar and Grille. Bought her a beer, made a joke how ironic it was that I was buying her a beer on my birthday. So we're all standing around, listening to the band, talking, yada yada yada and one of my other co-workers decides to give me a lap dance. It's all shits and giggles as far as I was concerned and I kept looking over at the girl which the co-worker who was giving me the lap dance kept noticing and commented that he kept looking over at you and she was like yeah right. Then I went to the bathroom and when I came back, she had left without saying goodbye. It didn't hit me until I woke up this morning that the lap dance may have been the reason why. I texted her this morning:

Don't leave w.o saying goodbye anymore. I came out of the bathroom and was like did *name* leave? I also didn't get a chance to thank you for putting together last night. I know you took the time to do so and don't think I don't realize it. I'm glad to have you in my life. *Lap dancers name* was also right when she was doing her dance 4 me in that I was looking at you during it. I'm not sure what exactly that meant although I can guess. And we can talk about this. Church tomorrow @ 6?

She was the one who brought up earlier this week that she had wanted to go to church with me down in Buckhead. Also let her know that I was going to be @ Hemingways tonight to see Lectric Mayhem and to let me know if she was interested in going. Haven't heard back so I figure I'm up shit's creek without a paddle right now.
