Atlanta CAG Thread, v2.0

Forgot to post this yesterday, but I checked out North Druid Hills Target yesterday and they no more PoPs. On the clearance endcap they did have 2 Saint's Row 2s (360) and a couple WWE2009s (360) at half price. Also had Wheelman (PS3) for 30% off I think. Also, there were four Far Cry 2s (360) for 9.98 on the top of the clear games endcap. Great price for a great game.

A couple of unmarked Far Cry 2 (360) at Dallas Hwy Target for 9.98 remain. They're in the normal rack at the end of the video game aisle.

Do we have any walmarts that still have the $40 $50 PSN cards? When I went walmart hopping the other day I had no luck =/

The one by me on the Kennesaw/Acworth border on 41 seems to have gotten rid of them. I couldn't find them anywhere today.

Hey can anyone help me please :D
I'm going to Atlanta for vacation and I was looking for a place that sells retro videogames and consoles (either store or flea market) does anyone know if there are any of these two around Atlanta or Duluth? thank you in advance ;)

There were a couple of copies of NFS: Undercover for 360 marked to $12.48 at the Edgewood Target as of Saturday afternoon. I also snagged the last copy of Peggle DS for ~$14. Woohoo!

Oveeja, I think pickings are slim here. There's one store that carries some old stuff in Alpharetta, but I haven't been there to comment. Some of the Northsiders will surely show up and give you better info soon.

Play N Trade does. You can check out their website for the store closest to where you'll be.

http://www.playntrade.com/storefinder

Its a bit out of the way for most of you, but Gamespot in Covington is going out of business.

As such, he currently has 20% off all used games/dvds/cds if you pay in cash, or 10% off with credit/debit. (That was the promotion as of Friday). He's got quite a selection from NES to 7th gen, so there's probably some decent deals to be had if you're so inclined to make the drive.

Wow, I've actually never seen a Gamestop go out of business.

Gamespot, not Gamestop.

He has a store out in CA, moved back home to GA and opened this one. Traffic not nearly as good as he hoped, so he's going back to Cali. Cali. Cali. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Not sure how much travel you're willing/able to do while here but you may want to check out this place in Acworth. Never been there but have talked to them on the phone and they were real nice. Give 'em a call first to see what they have in stock retro-wise and you'd be set. http://www.gamers-trade.com/

I've stopped in there a few times and they have a bunch of old stuff dating as far back to the Atari/Intellivision/Colecovision days (maybe further).

I will try there and well it isn't very far from Atlanta (if the map doesn't fail me) I hope to find an SNES and a N64 also if they have a Genesis or a Dreamcast that would be awesome. Thanks tons :D

In the opposite direction, I know the place I mentioned had 3 SNESs, and at least 1 of each of the other consoles listed as of last Thursday. He's not discounting the hardware down, so I bet he still has them.

Awesome just what I needed I live in Mexico and (as US and Canada) it is ruled by only one videogame distributor. So no chance of finding old consoles and now that I am finally going to Atlanta I get to buy games, awesome. Thanks

Back to the ATL thread. I went to Target Stn. Mountain and nothing went lower. I did see 1 copy of Afro Samurai for $14.98.

It's definitely hit or miss, but also check out the Goodwill stores in the area. They sometimes have older consoles for sale that someone donated.

MK vs DCU is 14.98 @ Snellville Target. I've been waiting for that drop, but I just don't have the money. They had 2 last night. Also, they have one each of PoP and Lips at 50% off.

Oh wow...that's sweet. I feel like my Alpharetta Targets are way slower to drop these prices, but at least it's like a preview.

Went to the Cobb Pkwy TRU to pick up Ghostbusters on my lunch break (for 360) with the $20 gc. Poked through their "$9.98 and below" bargain bin (very little was individually priced, so no idea of actual prices) and there was some decent stuff in there:

- Lots of copies of GH Aerosmith for 360, Wii, and possibly other systems
- 2 or 3 copies of Blue Dragon
- At least one Geometry Wars DS

Went to the Target on Dallas Hwy and saw no love for XB360 Guitar Hero III as there was a stack of 10-15 copies for $7.48

Also saw a (insert favorite expletive) -load of FEAR 2 for the 360 down to $24.98 (still trying to hold out for one more markdown), but it's weird that both 360 Afro Samurai and Prince of Persia were still at $29.98

They had maybe two or three House of the Dead - Overkill for $34.98 (I thought this was due for another markdown, but I guess not)

And some new-to-me clearance prices on Monsters VS Aliens, Riddick - AoDA, 50 Cent - the better game, and Saint's Row 2. Monsters was I think $34.98, Riddick was at the starting clearance of $41.98 and I can't remember the what the other two were.

Oh, and I thought someone had said that Far Cry 2 for the 360 was down to $9.98 at this location. Um...if it was, they changed it, because it was scanning at $29.99 Granted, I may have read the location wrong, or the OP may have stated that it was the PS3 version, and I just wasn't paying attention

It was that location that had FC2 for 9.98 for the 360, sucks that they jacked it back up in price but it's not the first time Target's done that.

Hit the Shallowford Rd target today - highlight was 14.98 PoP for the 360 (few left), and the other usual stuff being reported elsewhere.

I had reported that Far Cry 2 was in stock and 9.98 at North Druid Hills as well. I went by yesterday and it had been relabelled at 29.99. Found PoP at 15 at the Target on Steve Reynolds. There were several left and I gave in and got it. I've been dying to get it ever since I almost actually preordered it. Only reason I didn't is because Ubisoft games get so cheap so fast. Anyway the weird thing is that it was 75% off while MKvDCU was 50% off at that store, but in Snellville MK was 75% off while PoP was 50% off. Target is so weird.

Went to Target on Roswell and Johnson's Ferry Rd, they had 3 copies left of Ratchet and Clank Future for ps3 for $14.98. Also Gran Turismo Prologue for $9.98, two copies left.
Is there a Fry's ad in todays paper?

If so, what Blu's does it list for sale & what price?
There are Fry's ads everyday except Tuesday & Thursday.

Thanks, I noticed they were running a Thursday in some other cities. I was hoping for a few of these to PM @ BBy:

$12.49 (Blu): 2010, Above the Law, American History X, Pale Rider, Shining, Terminator 3, Unforgiven, V for Vendetta, Wild Bunch

Hopefully they will be in the big ad tomorrow.

If you're looking for a 1080p TV, those prices are definitely nice. Also got an e-mail about this sale (said you need to print out a copy of it) featuring this TV - Samsung 52" LN52A550 - http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN52A...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1245645258&sr=1-1 - for 1198.88. If you want a copy of the ad, which has 5 items not included in the 1st link including the Samsung TV, I will e-mail it to you so request it in a PM. Dates are the 24th and 25th so maybe you can pricematch at other stores to avoid Brandsmart.

You better hope that panel doesn't have any stuck/dead pixels or in any way requires you to deal with Brandsmart after the sale. Because I guarantee they will make your life a misery. There have already been several horror stories posted in this thread about this retailer. Buyer beware!

Exactly why people should try to PM elsewhere. :)

Correctomundo. Read this and then think twice before going to Brandsmart.

Folks, there's a reason why things are so cheap at BS (heh, how fitting). You really do get what you pay for.

I've had trouble getting BBy @ Cumberland to PM Brandsmart. I usually have to go to Kennesaw. I've even had trouble PMing them at Wal-Mart, when the ASM tried to tell me they were a membership warehouse club like Costco or Sam's because they put warehouse in their titles.
Has anyone seen LotR:Conquest (360) at 75% off yet?
I picked up the last copy at that price at Edgewood last weekend on Tybee's behalf. Don't think I've seen it that cheap anywhere else.

Picked up the last copy of Peggle DS (9.98) and Left 4 Dead :360: (12.48) at the Lawrenceville Target. Saw Fear 2 (24.98) - might buy at the next drop - and PS3 RB2 (14.98) Went in looking for DC vs MK at my magic 14.98 price point with no luck :(

Over the weekend picked up at the GP Sears PSP MLB The Show 08 for 4.97 and a couple for the kids: wall-e :360: 4.97 and PS2 HS Musical 2 w/ mic for $1.97. Had several copies of all in the clearance bin.

Did a nice flip over the weekend. Got R&C and GT5 Prologue from the Hiram SuperTarget for $14.98 and $9.98. Got $30/ea for them at Walmart. Still had some more R&C.

Looking for a cheap L4D clearance. Someone cleaned out both my best Targets- Including a stack of 14 that was there Saturday.
PM me.

Also thanks for the PM tips; I managed to get a cheap NFS & MC v DC.

wbc is right, this isn't a flip by any definition of the term, Tybee is also right, congrats on the douchery of the scam. CAGs are reputed to be cheap, not liars/thieves.
I'm not sure but I think this may be a type of fruad involving false representation. Not sure if $35 of Walmart credit is worth whatever punishment you're risking.
