[BACK] Exclusive RE4 Collector's Tin at Gamestop

I went to one gamestop and they said no such thing existed in store...

I went across the street to Babbages 9same company as gamestop) and sure enought the soundtrack and demo both came witht he preorder) I preordered the CE obviously.
 
Just received the Collectors Tin from FedEx. Overall the tin is very nice and well made, although it would be alot cooler if the GameStop logo wasn't on the front. Inside is a prologue booklet, a laser cell that is a limited edition of 48,000 and of course the most important part the game! Missing though is my soundtrack, kind of pissed about that. Going to contact Gamestop about this.

Whats the pic of? Mine is of Leon holding a gun similar tot he pose on the front cover. I am guessing there must be more than one laser cell or something. I find it hard to believe that ONLY 48,000 of these collector cases were made available.... Or its an inacurate number.

My cell is number in the 16,xxx of 48,000...
 
for those who didn't get the soundtrack with your gamestop.com orders when I called to check on when my order will be shipped and I was told that the soundtrack was going to be shipped seperately by regular mail.

My cell is the same as yours it is number 40,xxx of 48,000. I guess this thing truly might be a Colllectors Tin afterall. Did you get your soundtrack?
 
I got the collectors edition. It didn't come with the soundtrack (maybe it will come later?). The prolouge isn't too good. The cell image is cool, but I didn't open it. I am keeping it sealed. The tin box is really nice, I hope it didn't say GameStop on it though.

Yeah, it's not. And I forgot to order it yesterday. :cry:

And I called the Gamestops here. One said they did not even get any in today and the other said they would not have any extras. :cry: :cry:

So if you had to get your RE4 fix now but wanted the collectors tin you could go get the regular RE4... Keep the receipt.

I could hook you up with a collectors tin. Then return the new sealed regular RE4 with your receipt....

But you get to play it now and get the collectors version..
 
DAMNIT! i reserved my collectors tin set at the local gamestop.... AND THEY WONT HAVE IT TIL' TOMORROW!

I wouldn't worry about it. Mine shows processing, but I called in today about a different issue, and I was told it had shipped.

Edit: The game/tin shipped, that is. They haven't gotten the soundtracks in yet, but they should ship soon.
 
How's this, I just sent this to Gamestop's customer service.

Hi there I preordered the Resident Evil 4 Collector's Edition pack from you and I recieved it today without a soundtrack, although the ad clearly stated that we would recieve a soundtrack to the game. Now I believe this is false advertising and I would like some reparations in this because I paid my 60 dollars in the belief that I would recive that soundtrack as well.

Got mine in the mail today at about 1 pm, great game, although the artbook really isn't an artbook. Also, the "soundtrack" is just music from the two Resident Evil movies which really dissapointed me.

The cels are out of 48000. I got 01643. I honestly htink its wortht he extra $10. The art book is about 7 pages long, and it's more of a "History of RE" type thing. The tin is just about the same size as the games case itself.

now I was told that my soundtrack was already shipped by regular mail and it looked like my game/tin should ship possibly today. :?:
 
god damn fucking fedex, the order tracking says that they came at 3:42 today and package was not delived, however my mom and i were both home at that time and there is no note that they were here on the door or mailbox, and no footprints. damn liars.

But considering that I can easily get the game for $40-45, it's more like paying an extra $15-20 for the bonus stuff. I'd rather not.
 
I think it was worth it, I like the tin, I'm a sucker for cool looking box art/tins... I like the cell also at leat you know it limited, the mini book is good too, because I never beat RE 3 or code veronica...
 
so u saying the soundtrack is only 7 tracks, artbook is only 7pages, cell art, and tin case. just for 10bucks more? nah, thanks though
 
Well, I got mine today...no soundtrack. :(

But, when I look at my order on gamestop.com, it says the soundtrack hasn't shipped yet.

So other than that, I'm satisfied. I've been waiting for RE4 for almost a year now, and it was worth the extra money for the case, mini-mag/artbook, and the cell for a RE fan like myself. I just hope they send the soundtrack soon to complete the deal.
 
The artbook and soundtrack are rips, but the cell looks good and the tin box is awesome. Since I saved $9 on the thing because I work at GS, it was a good deal for $51.

I think there are 2 different cell arts. The one that the guy on ebay has is different from mine.
