Do you think that the tins are for pre orders only? I have a friend that didnt preorder it and plans to get it thursday, think he has a chance of getting the CE?
 
I don't really think much of the tin.

The tin case is very nice, but the paint is really cheap. My case already has some chips on it. The artbook turned into a weak prologue book. But the art cel is really, really nice.

Overall, I'd say it's only for fans.
 
I called my Gamestop B&M store and they had a few in stock. Can't decide on picking up the reg or collectors editon. Is all of the art cells from gamestop the same?

According to the Gamestop rep that I spoke with about this (called on another matter), this is supposedly a random occurance to random customers.
 
I ordered it last night, hopefully this thing actually ships.

The funny thing is I don't even like the RE games, but I figure this will be a cool addition to my collection. I'm going to leave it sealed and just borrow a friends copy to see if I like the game. I'm not buying this hoping it becomes worth hundreds, I'm just buying it so that hopefully it will be near impossible to find one sealed, then it could possibly be the centerpiece to my collection! Hopefully it is truely limited to 48,000 or so.

Capcom ... the reprint king :)

Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Steel Battalion, Pocket Fighter, GH versions of everything ... At this point I would expect a RE2+3 reprint for the GameCube, so I sold my used copies :)

If not oh well I don't care I have them for the other systems anyways ;)
 
does the sound track come with just the GS tin version as a bonus in store or does it come in other stores?

is this whole package with the tin and the soundtrack and extras worth paying full price? i haven't bought a full price game in a year.
 
The game is worth the $50, that's for sure. The tin case and art cel are definitely nice, I just don't like the dinky 'prologue artbook'. But it's $10 more then the regular version so, I say it's worth it.

And the Music CD ships seperately. I got my game on Tuesday and my music CD was only shipped today. Oh, the music CD is for people who preordered it I believe.

the funny thing, we were trying to check this out so we hit a few stores last night. 1 of them told us it doesn't come out until tomorrow(today now) while the other 1 looked at us like we were asking them something in a foreign language. go figure.
 
so I'm tracking my order for my tin as it was shipped via UPS and it has a scheduled delivery for today but their status still shows it as being in Ohio with no departure yet. I am getting really anxious to play this game and now it seems like I may have to wait even longer. :(

The free shipping promotion was only for the game, not for the soundtrack. The soundtrack being a "bonus item", ships USPS First Class, because "we have so many of them to ship out".

Funny, I'd think it's no more effort to toss the soundtrack disc in the same box as the game and not spend double shipping charges on it. Though, that's just me.

I think that the soundtrack is coming out of another warehouse/shipping location than the games are.

the funny thing, I ordered another tin for a friend and according to the order status the soundtrack shipped UPS but the tin hasn't shipped yet. I did pay 1.99 for shipping so that may be why, I'm not sure.
 
I bought a Cube' just to play this game(2nd time I buy a system just to play a RE game, Dreamcast being the 1st), and they stick me with a non-working AV cable, so no RE for me! :( I got the CE, and the soundtrack, but I had to ask for the soundtrack, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it. Don't post any spoilers, but anyone have the game, what are your thoughts about it?
My cell is #46,XXX. 48,000 would have been sweet, or 00,001
 
Got mine. Used FREESHIPALL and came in 2 days!

My cell is 00198 out of 48000. I placed my order on the 10th, at night. O_O
 
it's a really nice collector's tin, but I'm still trying to decide whether it's worth the extra $20 since we can get it at fry's for $40. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

I'm taking a stab in the dark here, but my guess is people that didn't pick up their pre-order are either A) really busy B) don't have a Gamecube yet and only want to get a Cube' for this game C) drunk D) Didn't get the message on their phone due to wrong number, etc. or E) busy playing the banjo.
 
my local gamestop has a ton of them. And I already have it but haven't opened it because of time, and again I'm still wondering whether I should save $20. That's a lot of money in cheapass terms, but then again, so is $40.
 
RE4 collectors tin is way better than halo 2 LE but costed me 20$ more, i'm not even a RE fan but this game plays differently enough for me to try it out. the red is just perfect and it came to my house with the soundtrack dent free unlike my halo 2 LE
 
here's a question...for anyone who ordered the tin on or after the 11th, did it ship yet? I ordered a copy for a friend and the soundtrack shipped UPS on the 12th but the tin itself hasn't but has the status of "usually ships in 24hrs".

Same here, bro. I ordered the tin on the 12th & actually received the bonus disc on the 14th. The tin itself sits unshipped.

I fired off an email to them last night asking WTF.
