[BACK] Exclusive RE4 Collector's Tin at Gamestop
Thanks OP, wasn't aware of it. Is it a Gamestop exclusive?
Yeah it is. I'm not the OP but I know things

The deal is different from when they first put it up. It was only supposed to have the two movie soundtracks instead of an actual RE4 soundtrack.

I'd honestly prefer two movie OSTs as opposed to one game OST.

Yeah, they added the RE4 soundtrack to the deal a few weeks after it was first offered. I'm really tempted by this...anyone else know if it's exactly the same deal in-store? Sometimes online Gamestop deals in the "bonus" section don't seem to carry over to their retail stores.

It's stuff like this that make me give in and pre-order games that I probably wouldn't have bought otherwise. That's a nice CE!

As for the soundtracks...I love VG music, I'd take the game soundtrack over the movie ones any day. It beats importing the disc for $30.

I CANNOT wait for this game to come out! Already ordered RE4 before the Collector's Edition was announced, then changed my preorder to this. It's about damn time there's a continuation of the RE storyline!

I preordered it when NintendoFanGirl posted it a few days back. Then it included free 1 day shipping. :D

And, no taxes! :D

Anyway, thank you for posting this again, OP. The better sales RE4 gets, better likelihood of seeing more RE games on Nintendo consoles.

I had it pre-ordered back in November, then cancelled it and re-ordered it when it was with free 1-day shipping. Doesn't get much better than that, especially with no taxes.

i would like to see what is actually on the soundtrack before ordering, i am worried gamestop will muck this up and I will end up with a demo disc instead of a soundtrack. but shesh that is a tempting collectors set.

Uh, the demo disc is already available NOW to those who preorder at B&M stores.

I don't understand your post, DoK -- it does not seem to be a response to dracula's concerns.

I preordered the game before the collectors was announced canceld it, got free 2 day and then a day later free overnight came out. Well i canceled again and got the overnighter.

They're obviously not gonna give out the demo TWICE to those who preordered.

It seems that I will be getting around 3 versions of this game. I am getting the normal RE4, the collectors edition , and eventually the PS2 version as well. I am a sucker for RE games.

Yes, stores will have them... I saw some preview boxes (paper boxes, not actual tin ones) for the game at my local GS. I think you should reserve it though... They'll probably be in limited quantites.
so what does it come with? a cell art, a soundtrack, a strategy guide, the game, and art book?
Click the link in the OP?

I wish there was a Gamestop near me... :( I hate ordering anything off of the Internet, but it looks like I will have to for this one...

Does any gamestop employee know what the deal is with this supposed soundtrack? I have been told it doesnt exist or is online only...

The product details doesn't say it include a strategy guide (alithough it will be very nice if it does come with it). If you look at the picture closely, the "strategy guide" doesn't say it's a strategy guide, it seems to say "Resident Evil Prologue" (as mentioned in the product details). It's kinda burry, but you can tell.

I wonder what the free T-shirt that Capcom is giving out looks like? Is it black or white? The black ones have more vivid graphics on them just look better to me. The one for Resident Evil: Outbreak was white and just OK. The best Resident Evil shirt Capcom gave IMO out was for Code Veronica X for the PS2. It was black and had a giant Umbrella logo on the back.

It looks like for the Gamestop "collector's edition" deal you are paying $10 for the artbook, cell, and the tin box. Since Capcom is giving away the art book for their preorders, it really can't be costing Gamestop anything to give those out so really you are paying $10 premium for the tin box and cell. I don't value those particular items very much, so I won't be purchasing that version.

It's too bad only a few retailers are offering premiums on this game. What I would like to see would be the game, tshirt, soundtrack, and artbook selling for $50 if you preorder.

Have you noticed that tshirt preorder premium have slowed to a trickle over the past 2 years? I have 30+ gaming tshirts I have collected, particulary during the PSone era. I would usually be inclined to preorder games at full price, if it included a tshirt. Plus the game publisher gets free advertising to boot.
wait so soundtrack or no soundtrack?
Soundtrack=yes

I checked my order and it listed two items. The tin with bonus and the other item was the RE4 soundtrack.

I will probably wait until I see the Sunday ads to see if Best Buy, Circuit City, or Target have any swag they are selling with RE4, before I preorder.

Hey all, I just went to check my order and gamestop.com is acting like I didn't have one. It's making me kinda nervous, I was wondering is anyone else having the same problem.

FYI
If I were you I'd check your orders. I called and there was a problem with my order. I received email confirmation, but the order look up system did not have it. Gamestop said that it was in the system, but there was a computer error that will keep it from being charged and shipped. I had to redo the whole order.

Yeah you guys may want to check your orders. I checked mine and it has already shipped and is expected to reach me by 3 pm PST Jan 11.
So does anyone know for sure whether the RE4 soundtrack will be available with the CE in-store?
I work for GS, and we've already recieved the soundtrack disc and have been giving them out with reserves. It's a sampler of tracks taken from both of the movie soundtracks. I have no idea if there will be an additional soundtrack disc actually in the package, but your GS should have the disc I'm talking about already.

I checked my order status and the soundtrack states ships in 24 hours while the game still shows processing. its been in processing since Fri. or Sat.
