Yes MSRP but a savings over buying the Game + the DLC separate.

The $69.99 version of the game is meant to draw in new players, including both a copy of Battlefield 3 and a subscription to the game's Premium DLC content delivery service.

Also included in the box is a Multiplayer Head-Start Kit, which immediately unlocks 15 different weapons, gadgets, and vehicle upgrades to give new players an online boost.

Sounds okay but pricey. I sold my limited edition already so this would be a nice deal once the price drops substantially.

Yeah Essentially they are giving you the game for $20 + $50 for the premium DLC (which is what it costs right now).

Hopefully we will get a sale eventually on these copies.

It will never hit $20. Hell I'll be suprised if it ever gets a discount. Most of the dlc is not even released. Premium cost $50. It's basically a $10 discount on the game. Don't expect the dlc or premium to be discounted until bf4 is out.

Yes. Either you're not clear on what this box contains or just really dumb. It contains the game (40$) and premium (50$). It will never cost $20 ever. The dlc won't even be fully release until Q3 2013.
 
I just hope they give something extra to the people who bought the game and premium separately.

This is a steal of a deal for anyone who doesn't have the game yet.
 
Yeah, it'll be 20 this time next year at the latest. So I shall wait since I have the game already and don't really like it that much anymore.
 
It's not that bad of a deal when you count in the fact that all the DLC will be included. So current and future DLC + game for $70 isn't bad at all.
 
This will definitely go on sale before all the dlc is out. Not sure if it'll hit 20 soon but it's a retail box and published by EA to boot. I'd bet that this package is 30 or 40 this black Friday. EA normally prices their brand new shooter that's only a few weeks old at 30 for bf so it wouldn't be insane to think they'd do the same for a 1 year old game.

Yeah i would think about buying this at the 30 dollar range but that's it. I heard they buffed aim assist, so i don't really see the point in playing it online unless it is dirt cheap.

Yeah, no. There is a precedent, you're just being a tool.

You obviously weren't around when you could get the console versions of Bad Company 2 for $24 shipped, ~3 months after launch, and then BC2Ultimate for $15-16 maybe a month after that was released. Both directly FROM EA's online store.

EA already had the balls to announce the new MOH at 70 msrp w/ the new BF4 beta not even a year after 3 came out AND before they were done with the DLC. fuck that, and fuck EA again for doing it here.

Also keep in mind ALL of the map packs were free in BC2 if you bought the game new. All of it. Included in the original price. And before someone jumps on me about it, Vietnam is technically an expansion pack, since the map rotations are completely separate from the normal BC2 servers.
 
Do people consider that the DLC coming out may not be that interesting? Close Quarters doesn't have as many people playing it as you'd like to think.

If the DLC sucks guess what!? It's yours and no refunds.
 
You can throw ad hominems around all you like, just makes you a tool. Doesn't change the fact this won't ever be on sale for 20$. Nor will it be anywhere near that before all the dlc is out.
 
I'm certainly not getting Premium and I hope most people follow suit (which seems to be the case). Hopefully the vanilla servers always stay full.

The bfbc Example is stupid and isn't even a comparison. It had one 15$ expansion. Bf3 has 75$ worth. If you seriously think that means it will be on sale for 20$. That's just plain dumb.

yeah no way I was shelling out $50 for a DLC pass especially when the first one was a COD mode for BF3 unfortunately there are a lot of people who blindly bought it as soon it was released thus giving EA the idea thats it's a great idea. Fortunately one of those people was a friend who lets me borrow it from his account to use on mine for free.

I just don't enjoy it. I play with friends and my spm is over 550 with kdr 2.4. It's not that I don't like it because I get owned. I just like to play bf in bf style with tanks choppers and stuff.

Especially if you get on a server with a high ticket count. I was in one last week and holy hell. It took like a hour n a half to finish:hot:

eh I dunno when I play Battlefield I want huge maps with tanks, jets, helicopters and explosions everywhere not running around corridors with some people camping corners with shotguns or laying down with lmgs. If I wanted that I can go on MW3

Really and how do you know? This will be $20 by some retailer within a year. If you think it will hold the price you a dumb. Most people already of 2 of the packs. They will never buy this edition. Every battlefield game drops like a rock after they are out.
I even bet the pass will be half price soon as a 1 week special.

damn, i got back to kanarkland free with preorder. but just last month i got premium for $50. it's cool tho cuz i got the game used also for my grrl for 27 used, but with gameshare it's worth it. i need to play more bf3. geez bf4 will be out too soon already.

If they're discounting the game itself and selling this cheaper than it was for the base game + Premium, maybe premium will get some promo sales to compete with this release. Oh, well... not bothering with premium unless it's 30 or something...

You are the fish the thinks you get a deal for the season pass. Just wait you can get it for 1/2 price or the DLC for 1/2. The Battlfield pass was dumb from the start because most people had the 1st DLC in the price of the original game.

I am betting you hate COD and love BF3. You are not going to convice us to buy this great value. We wait, we pay $20 for everything that you paid $110 for.
 
Nice find. I was thinking of jumping in to the PS3 version, but everything can be pricey with these titles. You buy the game, DLC, hood ornament and then the pornographic art booklet with genital DRM just to really play what the game is.
