Battlefield: Bad Company

Meh I'm going to have to miss this one since I'm going out with the girlfriend tonight, but if this goes well than we should get another gamer night. Also gives me time to get the bluetooth headset too.
 
If any one is still on, my id is : blackeyedsniper, send me an invite. Don't have a headset at the moment, but would still like to play with you guys.
 
Sorry to bring up an older thread, but I still find myself hitting this game when I have time. How do I go about sending an invite for someone to join my squad? Also, is it possible to create my own squad and if so, how?
 
I just bought a copy for $8 the other day and it's really quite fun. I might join in on MP sometime but first I gotta learn the ropes a bit more(the weapon/healer/tool switching mechanic is still too cumbersome for me)

you set up your squad invites in the menu system before you get into the game itself. Can't recall the steps off the top of my head, I think you go through the custom search and in there you hit triangle or somethng to bring up the squad interface.
 
Yeah the menu system is what you use for squad invites. They have to be people on your friends list.

I've been playing quite a bit of this lately. I think I've ranked up to Lvl 12 so far. I'll probably be hitting this on and off until the fall. Gotts to reach Lvl 25. I'm not sure I'll ever get the 10002 kills though. o_O

So that's actually been you I've seen playing this lately? Wasn't sure if it was a guest so didn't want to impede on your game.
 
So, why isn't there a cag night for this game?

I just spent a few hours online, shits hella fun.

You have this? Didn't know that.

It's hard to run a CAG night because you can only have max 4 people in a squad and can't set up your own private games. So it's basically like WORMS, get a small group together every now and then.
 
Wow I didn't realize that this thread would be this old.. lol

I used to have this game on the 360 before I sold it, and now I'm looking to pick this up again for the ps3, and was hoping to find a bustling thread full of people playing every night.. but am I wrong? Does anyone here still play the game, or better yet, would you still consider there being a lot of people playing online in general? Because if the community is pretty much dead, there's really no point in buying it..

I played it... well, look at the my last post up ^^^ there... I played it then and there were a decent number of people playing in the ranked room I was in.

As for CAG nights, it seems, any games that don't support large parties/private rooms aren't very active. I'd be up for playing in a four man squad with some CAGs eventually, once I start playing this online more.
 
since this thread was dug up, I have a trophy question: I can't unlock the trophy you get for completing the game. You should get a trophy for completing the last level (bronze or silver depending on difficulty level set). I've tried numerous times, let the credits roll (though I think they just loop) and still no trophy WTF?!

Oh yeah.. I almost forgot about the small squads on there.. but I guess as long as there are plenty of people still online It'll still be worth it...

That's weird, because once the trophy patch went up I just loaded my save file which was at the last checkpoint before you beat the game, fought the boss, and still got the trophy. I thought I would have to start fresh with a new save file and was surprised to find out that wasn't the case. And I'm pretty sure it should unlock before the credits roll (as soon as the final cutscene starts if I remember correctly), so you shouldn't need to watch them.

Sorry to ask such a stupid question, but have you updated the game with the trophy patch? It's honestly the only reason I could think of as to why it won't unlock, because otherwise you might just have a glitch of some sort.

That's why it seems so odd. I've unlocked different trophies after replaying the game but the ONE won't pop up for me?!?!?!
 
Cool... I just picked it up earlier this morning and managed to play a couple of rounds tonight.. and I'll admit, its still a lot of fun.. But you really have no clue what you're gonna get as far as squad mates.
 
Sorry for the bump but my friend is trying to convince me to rebuy this but I wanted to see if voicechat was fixed? I remember it used to just spontaneously cut out.
 
There are still issues with voice chat, but not as bad. The EA servers suck ass though. I've been disconnected a couple times in the past few days.
 
I keep getting this weird problem with this game. When you exit the game during an online match, the screen shows "Please wait...", then PS3 beep like two or three times, and the PS3 restart itself. It only happens during the online match. So everytime when i want to exit the game, i would have to go into the in-game main menu in order to exist the game properly. I got this game used from gamestop's buy two get one free sale. After i bought it, it has a lot of finger prints, so i cleaned it with a cotton ball, same as the two other games. This game's CD has about 3 little scratch on it. Anyone else has this problem?

This happened to me when loading up a level in single player. It kept loading and loading. I hit the PS button to quit game, PS3 beeped a couple times, and the system restarted.
