Just in case anyone is in the same situation I was in - if you bought the original & traded it in and were hoping to pick this one up & continue your game, it's not going to happen. The Complete Package will NOT recognize saves from the vanilla version.

If this doesn't apply to you, it's a great deal on a great game. :)
thanks for letting me know :( cancelled my order

This game doesn't happen to have a separate set of achievements like Batman AA does it?

Wow that's dumb. There goes my plan of grabbing it for the dlc. Is the extra in disc or a code?

Saint's Row: The Third Full Package - XBOX 360 NOTICE

If you purchase any of the three additional DLC items (The Online Pass, Bloodsucker Pack, or The Unlockable Pack), it will temporarily disable the following installed assets from The Full Package: See attached link.

There is a permanent workaround that requires a memory stick. This will allow you to access all content with no issues. Follow these steps: See attached link.

My original save transferred over just fine on the 360 version. Perhaps this is a PS3 only issue?

so on PS3 it's on 1 disk and you install it like w/ Borderland GotY disc? That means that you can buy it, install dlc, sell the the game to GS for $25, then keep playing your vanilla copy now w/ all the dlc.

Fantastic deal for Saint's Row Full Package. Just to warn everyone though: friend of mine received a used/broken/unworking code for the online pass (required for online co-op). Apparently, it's a rather widespread issue.

Also, I highly recommend paying for faster shipping or select in-store pickup if you can. The free shipping BBY uses is via UPS Innovations, which took ended up taking 10 days to deliver to me.

Edit: experience from purchasing this price on Black Friday.

I may have missed this but can't you just get the 360 DLC disc, install it, and play off your original disc? I own the collectors edition and have no desire to buy the game again, especially just for the DLC disc.

Thanks for the info. Honestly this is so stupid, and I am not buying now.

their shipping does suck but its not horrible. you probably purchased an item that was in high demand and needed restocking. i personally bought a blu ray show on black friday got it in like 3 days i think. but yes...with shop runner and prime, bby is absolutely snail mail and i hate the packaging they use...no bubble rap...its almost as comparable to gohastings packaging, which i dont know what they do but every package i get from them makes it look like they threw the package in a dryer to stress test it before they sent it out.
Thanks for the info. Honestly this is so stupid, and I am not buying now.
You can just install all the dlc then sell it to GS for $25 and keep playing the disc you have now.

Shipping has been pretty good for me too everytime I did so far, last thing I ordered was a pre-owned copy of Monster Hunter Tri, came like 4 days after I ordered, and it literally looked like they sent me a brand new copy of the game. (Was sealed, and not a single smudge)
In effect the results show that Saints Row: The Third — The Full Package should be DEAL OF THE DAY ...

yes! Saints Row deserves some love
This^1024.
Hope to see more full-blown open-world co-op titles in the future!
Hopefully Amazon does a PM so I can use the $5 facebook promo
That's what I'm hoping for. I already submitted the lower Best Buy prices to Amazon, but if the first page of this thread is accurate Amazon doesn't price match Best Buy's DOTD very often. Time will tell....
Isn't all the DLC that's included supposed to be pretty "Meh"?
Only "Trouble With Clones" was alright, the rest were just meh indeed.

I recently bought Yakuza Dead Souls for $17 at bby after newegg pricematch. Would you guys suggest keeping it or go with SR3 full package?

this was my fav game of 2012, but if it really doesn't transfer over from the reguler version? that is verry stupid. but i am still tempted to buy it, since i traded my reguler copy of it, in to bestbuy a while ago.

i dont like playing games for 30 hours or doing all kinds of side missions, but when i played and beat this game, i checked my time played and it was 30 hours +, and i still wanted more...... get saints row.
but dont play it in front of your family. lol

Kind of weird, I went to buy the 3DS XL for 160$ and still had Saints Row in my cart from black Friday. (Regretted not snagging it then) Anyway saw the price was 24.99, thought it had somehow glitched and was still in there at the black Friday price, well until I checked here. :) Anyway long story short, not passing it up this time, ordered with the 3DS.

I'm definitely doing this! Thanks for the heads up!

This is probably a long shot, but would anyone be willing to spring for a copy of this for me for a secret santa I'm in? I'm strapped on cash, but I have amazon credit and MSP that I can trade / pay you for it. I would love for amazon to just price match so I can use my credit, but I want to snag this before it goes OOS. PM me please!

Sorry, the save issue I mentioned was on the PS3 version, I don't know how the 360 version handles that. And on the PS3, the DLC is on disk and does not install (not that I noticed anyway).

If that's the case then I made a good move when I traded in Vanilla to Amazon for $18.
FYI for anyone who wanted that UDraw tablet + game DotD for $10 a few days ago, it's back to that price again. Presumably all week.

EDIT: Here's the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/uDraw+GameTablet+with+uDraw+Studio%3A+Instant+Artist+-+PlayStation+3/3230277.p?id=1218388103628&skuId=3230277

EDIT #2: All uDraw games for all systems are on sale for $9.99
I have never seen the uDraw stuff in person. So is this tablet with uDraw Studio all you need (besides the PS3 of course)? Does the tablet connect through blu-tooth like a controller? Is this suitable for a 5 year old?
Do you have to play 1 & 2 to know what is going in on 3?
Thus far, in my playthrough of 3, the tie-ins between 2 and 3 are less than the tie-ins between 1 and 2.

Besides, I wouldn't be too worried about the game's story.

The tablet is powered by 3 AA batteries.

It is connected to the system via wireless USB tongle.

Suitable for 5 year old. Go with Marvel game. It is worth it at this price. I got in on this last year when BB offered these as DoTD sale.

Will be picking up Saints. First time playing the series and looking forward to it. Lots of CAGs have given their stamp of approval. Good enough for me. Thanks guys.

Wow, I was going to jump on this but... now I'm not so sure. I mean, I loved SR3 and wouldn't mind re-playing it but I already spent 40 hours or whatever to get 100% on the vanilla copy.

I placed an order but not sure if I'll pick it up.

EDIT* Anyone know if the trophies stack?

Thanks for the information. I was assuming the PS3 version would be rechargeable like the controllers and connect through blu-tooth. Batteries are kind-of a bummer but not a deal breaker.

I waited and waited for a goty edition, but when dominatrix was canceled everyone said there would be no goty edition. I bought the dlc pass and still havnt touched the dlc. doh! great deal tho

$15 after $10 reward cert sounds awesome for this, but I should spend more of what little I have on other people... heh. Plus I beat the vanilla version courtesy of Redbox, and I would prefer to pick back up with all the progress I had made. Oh well.

I would really like to know if the achievements/trophies stack as well!

Don't care that the saves from the vanilla Saints Row won't work with the Full Package.
I'll gladly play through this game again. It was a blast.
