Yeah I'll be getting the 360 controller to play bastion and stuff. Though after a bit of searching I found that some people were able to pair a dual shock 3 and mac via bluetooth just fine while others had problems. I don't know about the 360 though.

"Horrible deal. Awful game. Waste of time".

It makes you (plural---not targeting you out) look like a bunch of whiny ass kids who can't appreciate the fact that Best Buy is selling you a game at $42 less then MSRP.

If you don't think you'll like the game or have played it and didn't enjoy it fine---move on. Or post why (in more then 20 words) you didn't like it.

For every 20 posters that commented on how awful this game was and how bad of a deal this is (it's not a bad deal----it's a very good deal) maybe one took the time to string a few sentences together to form a paragraph and explain why they didn't like the game.

you definitely need an adapter for the 360 wireless.

I'll stick with the wired $10 black ops controller tonight. With the app, it's only $18.

Yeah he's right, it's definitely not a bad seller at all. RE has a pretty really loyal fan base in Japan, the game sold 269,000 copies in its first week there. I don't pay attention to those comments too much, but with a large enough sample size, the ratings for a game regresses to the mean. And the mean for this game is average at best taking out the outliers from all the review sites I've seen anyway.

No consider yourself lucky. You got the special edition. It comes with a sleeve and the art on the tin case is the same on the sleeve. It should have been priced at $69.99.

The limited edition is a BB exclusive but it comes in a standard game case with regular covert art minus a stupid BB Exclusive Logo on the front.

Understood but my point is if a game hasn't gone on sale, except for a previos DOTD, since its release in March then a sale price of $17.99 is a GOOD SALE regardless of reviews.

I have come to understand that Capcom games are universally going to get low review scores just like some Bethesda junk is going to to get the benefit of the doubt.

I think a lot of expectations have been skewed by the Arkham City deal and how fast that seemed to happen for a game that sold even more than RE:ORC. (A little under 5 months?) It shouldn't be an expectation for price drop timelines but it is.


We have to look at it from Best Buy's (or another retailer's) perspective. Have sales dropped off dramatically since the initial release and are they now left sitting on a lot of unsold stock? This sale would suggest they are.


Then again, I wonder if someone at Best Buy was given a month early heads up about the Arkham City GOTY edition and that's why they decided to clear stock and clear it fast.

Capcom's been getting a lot of flack lately for their on-disc DLC. All I know is that when I look at the prices for Operation Raccoon City DLC I just can't help but get mad. Actually simply Googling Batman Arkham City GOTY edition would have been how I found out there was a GOTY edition coming out. Unless you care about challenge maps or the other extra content/levels, the only thing that seems like it'd be worthwhile is the Catwoman content and that's included with the regular edition when bought new(or used at GS, if they're still doing that).

I considered that batarang controller myself a few times. I have a PS3 I don't like the controller either. I'm tend to try and I've never had much luck with second party controllers. Maybe I should just give it a shot ?I wish it would go on sale instead of these Black ops once.

Thank you for confirming this. I picked this version up on Clearance at Target for $34.99 a few months back but never opened it lol as it was in my backlog. I was thinking of playing this "vanilla" BestBuy version and putting this legit tin special edition on eBay hoping to at least recoup my $35 I spent at Target. I think I will skip both these CoD controllers. Horrible reviews for both. The 360 version is WIRED while the PS3 version has no rumble and has a dongle that must be plugged into a USB port on the ps3.

Your confusing this with the Special Edition, which is the one that includes the emblems, and steelbook case.

This Limited Edition is retail specific for Best Buy. it includes DLC for extra costumes & guns. But not sure if these are the same ones you'd find in the Special Edition.
