I forgot all about the Arrival DLC. God it feel like it's been forever since I played Mass Effect 2. I need to replay the whole trilogy again once all the DLC comes out for ME3.
Ugh. No thanks. Hasn't this been $5 with @Gamer????
That was ME2, but either way this is still a bad price.

No, I didn't read any posts before me, so that's likely why I'm going to repeat what's already been said. Wasn't this just on sale for $10?!

yes, ME3 was on sale for $10, only for a week along with Lollipop ($20). I didnt get in on it so Im gonna wait for the ps3 verison of the ME trilogy to go down in price a bit and that will getb me into the series.....hopefully.
I don't think ME3 is getting a GOTY, ME2 never did, and it was legitimately named GOTY, which ME3 won't be.
A GOTY edition has nothing to do with whether or not a game got any consideration for an actual award.
so pissed i bought mass effect at 60$ when it launched, especially since it's still wrapped up and in my backlog. never again.
Over the last few years I have learned that you do not buy the following game series on/near launch day:

Assassins Creed
Mass Effect
Dirt

A good rule of thumb is never buy any game on/near launch day.

I never buy standard games on launch, unless I'm going to play them right away. Standard games are never going to be rare, so no need to buy them just to sit in my backlog. The only time I break the no Day 1 rule is if it's a CE/LE that I think/know will be rare.

COD and Mario titles are probably the two exceptions on the day 1 rule (for consoles, anyway). If you can manage to snag a copy for around 10 or 15 less than MSRP, you're pretty safe.

Me too, never understood the point of buying games at launch*, never bought games at launch except for going rare CEs.

*to keep for myself. Bought plenty at launch as gifts, thanks to GCU

Pretty much same here (picked up a handful at launch this year...Doom 3, Lollipop Chainsaw, RE6, the Silent Hill ps3 releases, etc). Or, sometimes, if it's a game with multiplayer/coop that friends are picking up at launch...
A good rule of thumb is never buy any game on/near launch day.
I break this rule several times a year, especially with how good BB's deals are with GCU and their 20 dollar certificate deal with preorders.

Back on topic, if I didn't already have ME3, I'd pick it up. This game is really that good and the multiplayer is loads of fun. Great price for a game that takes lots of time but is enjoyable about every step of the way.

I'd add Elder Scrolls, Fable and Fallout games to that list as well (well, pretty much anything that's single player or has the majority of focus on that).

I rarely buy anything at launch, though. Left 4 Dead, Halo and Borderlands games are pretty much it for me.

I'm hoping that I can find out the next DotDs when I go back in today. BB seems to have taken down the link where I usually find them out for you guys. :whistle2:(
They may be onto you arca1a
That would suck. I'd rather not stay up every night slamming F5 on the Best Buy website. Well, I already stay up that late goofing around, but I would probably forget about it quickly :)
They may be onto you arca1a
You'd think they would want me to let you guys know! We need all the help we can get right now.

Last week when The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition for XBOX 360 i jumped on it, based on the description in the BB site i was expecting the extras which are the Soundtrack a map and Questbook guide in physical from. All i got was the map inside the game and a sticker on the wrapper in front telling me to go to thewitcher.com/extras to dl the digital copies of the book and the soundtrack. Did anyone else also get the same version as me or am i SOL.

Same as you. The enhanced Edition of Witcher 2 isn't so enhanced.... I supposed in this day and age, having an actual instruction booklet is a bonus item.

I Got mine when it was $10 a few months back and it was in a slipcover housing the quest handbook inside of and the game case. Inside the case was the map, the game discs and soundtrack. So maybe one of those first print run situations?

Maybe your's is a reprint? I picked up the enhanced edition when it was a Reward Zone Gamer's Club offer, a couple of months ago, and mine came with the slipcase, book, map and soundtrack CD. Does the artwork on your's say "Enhanced Edition"?

Probably a reprint then and yup it does say Enhanced Edition on the cover.

If I bought this TV 10 days ago, will they price adjust today if I brought my receipt in or not?

For anyone wondering, the TV is pretty descent for gaming as well as viewing. 3D is nice and requires passive glasses, but this model comes with 4 pairs. It also has the dual play thing, which allows splitscreen games to be played one a single screen for both players, granted you have a pair with left only and right only.

Anyone looking at the data would have to agree that it's possible. However a rogue manager might assume you lack wisdom and attempt to put his foot down with you since he can't do it at home with his wife. This an area where many managers are particularly weak. Despite the rogue manager, we can be more or less certain the transaction will complete its cycle.

Although the price match guarantee appears to exclude DOTD's, the Extended Holiday Returns does not. It is no exaggeration to say that the statement "No product exclusions" puts you in a strong position to Return/rebuy.

SonOfMan, thanks for you help, but guess what? I bought it November 3rd, haha. It was $100 more, so $679.99, but I had a $100 gift card. A bit bummed, but this was my FIRST HD tv and so I was happy to actually be able to play my games and read the text. I came from a 19"SDTV, so hopefully some of you can see my delight.

Anyways, this TV does have a gaming mode, and really, I can't see the milliseconds between pushing the button and firing during my online FPS adventures (Halo 4, Black Ops 2) so it works for your online games. And 3D black ops is awesome. I never thought 3D gaming could be so fun!

Is this just for that extended holiday price match or has it always been this way?

I bought Kid Icraus for full price knowing that it would be a DOTD...when I went back to price match it...they did it, no questions asked

Return re-buy. You should run and try to get that $100 back before they close! SERIOUSLY! Go and try to do SOMETHING!:hot:

I know some stores have 15 days on opened electronics returns. Go get your money!!!!!!

In effect, Price Match Guarantee currently exclude Deal of the Day items.

All thought it's been a couple of months since I've last price matched a deal of the day, I've done the same and never had an issue. I've done it both in store and over the phone with customer service.

In my opinion it would be foolish not to try to get the price match as the worst that could happen is the manager says no.

Be careful what you say here on CAG. This is to many a non issue, myself included, but to some people on this site, your describing a form of retail fraud (which it isn't.) Just letting you know, because hell hath no fury like a cheap ass scorned....

Hey CAGs, good news: my link for DotD is back up so I can fill you all in again!

Bad news: No gaming deals this week. I didn't think we would considering its Black Friday week.

With all those movie deals, the last thing I need is BB taking more of my hard earned money . Thanks for the update bro

Was just wondering this! Hoping maybe another movie deal though... but wouldn't be surprised if it's just random electronics.

There are random electronics through the week but I normally only post games. No other Blu-Ray deals this week (There was a Lord of the Rings Trilogy deal today that may still be there). Once I see next weeks deals, I'll probably make a movie DotD thread in the DVD & Blu forum.

There sure is. Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray Trilogy for $40. Still a bit too much for my cheapass blood. Especially with Black Friday around the corner.

Yeah, I saw. You just said it may be there, so I wanted to confirm that it was still up.

Vyse, do you know if bb is going to do dedicated video game dotd every day again this year heading into Christmas? There were some crazy deals last year and I am hoping to cash in again. :)
