Went to two Best Buys today. I couldn't find any except for the Ultimate Edition for the 360 at the first, priced $39.99. I didn't look very hard though. An employee asked me if I was looking for the DOTD one and when I said I was, he said I probably wouldn't be able to find any at any Best Buy close by. Slightly discouraged, I went off to another Best Buy and found one copy each for the PS3 and 360. They were placed BEHIND the copies of Battlefield 3. Picked them both up.

Also, what's the VIP thing that you guys are talking about? The PS3 version I got was the Limited Edition. Is that it?

Ordered a PS3 copy for in-store pick-up. I enjoyed the BC games quite a bit, and I have yet to try the Vietnam expansion - heard a lot of good things about it too.

I was torn between getting it for ps3 and 360. Had the Vietnam dlc on a game share somewhere, but since I bought a 360, it just doesn't get much use outside of shmups and lost planet. Ended up getting it for the 360 in the end.

I'll have to check my copy later to see if it came with the VIP code.

I always have to make that choice, but lately it's been all 360 because for some reason I've been on an achievement craving.

I was halfway kidding, I've owned it on Xbox and playstaion since release date (traded them in) it just wasn't as epic as bc2 and or too much like CoD this time, am ok with playing the older battlefields til it drops, probably will get it below the $20 mark.

Since there seems to be some confusion about VIP:

VIP gets you access to all map packs (I believe there were 7 of them). If you do not have VIP, you will be placed in non-VIP servers. So you can play the game, but may become bored rather fast. Also, if you have a friend with VIP, you will not be able to join him in-game. VIP used to cost $10, but I'm pretty sure it's been reduced.

There are two main DLC packs that came out. One is Onslaught, which is a co-op mode for up to four people. You play against bots, and just earn some achievements. If you want to learn to fly the chopper, there is a mission that you can do to get you some experience. I've spent over an hour just in that mission to practice. Decent value - really only if you're after the achievements or chopper practice.

The other DLC is Vietnam, which others have already posted is pretty good. You die faster than standard BC2. Tanks play music when someone's in them, which is awesome. Some maps have massive chokepoints, but it's still a great buy.

This game is great. Part of me wants to start playing it again. I have over 500 hours played!

Steel Diver is the DOTD for today, Best Buy post them sometimes in two different places. One in the video game category and the other one linked from the front page of the website.

I somehow missed it for $5. Is it worth $12? It seemed kind of cool but no way it was worth $40. But I'm one of those CAGers that feels that once I know that it was significantly cheaper at one point (ie $5), I don't want to pay more than that.
