Damn, u already got ur GC? when did u pick up the game?
I bought the SE. Picked it up on launch day.

I'm not the only one... it seems quite a number of us received the GC tonight. My email arrived at 9:04PM EST. The dead thread in the graveyard has been active tonight with multiple reports of people receiving their $20.

The BB GCU forum also has people confirming.

Good luck dude. It is early, so I wouldn't hit the panic button. I'm surprised how early it is. The last day of May, and not even the 30 day period yet.

I love the early reception, but hope people don't abuse it.

Oh and check your junk mail. Mine was hiding in there.

To be honest... I never thought these would take off. It is unfortunate because THQ will likely not see a return on their investment here.

That is the industry. You win some. You lose some. And when you lose big you possibly die. Maybe.
I'm not sure if anyone cares but I thought I'd just let you know that THQ lost a lot of money on these Udraws. The 3 games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are all they made and there probably won't be any others produced.

yeah, i'm not going to buy the tablet and crappy games. and i'm usually all over these deals. picked up bad company 2, asscreed rev, and darkness ii from best buy already. but this is pushing it. would rather just use my $100 hp touchpad (with cyanogenmod9) from the firesale.

update: oh, i guess it is a solid deal for cags with kids like stimes (see below). just not a good deal for me personally.
Got three :wii:udraw games for the kid. Kung-fu panda, penguins OM, and pictionary. Thanks!

Also note that there is no online multiplayer for Pictionary, a dealbreaker for me even though I love pen and paper Pictionary.
So you'll play regular Pictionary in the same room with friends, but unless you can play the video game version with random people from the internet it's a no go? That doesn't make sense. Then again, it also doesn't make sense to me when folks won't pick up a game just because it has no online multiplayer.

I just wonder what they did in the NES/Sega Master System and other gens when there wasn't such a thing.

yeah it might keep the little guy out of my hair while I play through some of my rated M games. Lol

Local hotseat Pictionary on uDraw seems kind of pointless to me, since pen and paper is way more fun and frenzied (we play modified rules where all teams are drawing simultaneously, and already incorporate random difficulty elements like blind-drawing, one-line, off-hand, fingernail, etc. that to its credit the game tries to do). I was primarily hoping for a fast paced competitive online multiplayer mode similar to iSketch, but alas nothing whatsoever is offered here. Obviously my viewpoint is coming from a more hardcore player than average casual drawers.

Sweet deal! Picked this up for the Wii with all the games for my kids. And to the cag whose going to play m rated games while the kids draw crazy I am right there with you on that :D
hmm..my max payne gift card isnt working online is anyone else having this problem?
Mine worked no problem.

Thanks OP. Ordered a Wii UDraw and six games (when will they ever be this cheap?) for the kids. They just played one at a friend's house and loved it.

I picked up MP3 the Friday of the week it released and I got my $20 GC email tonight at 8:04pm CST.

Boy do I feel stupid now for buying 2 of the uDraw games for $39.99 each (though during a B2G1) at Best Buy last fall. I got the tablet form $29.99 at Gamestop so that wasn't too bad at least. I thought I'd surprise the kids with the PS3 version and some games for Christmas - this was before it was announced that they weren't going to make any more games for it. Of course I thought with the rollout of the 360 and PS3 versions there would be lots more stuff coming. Oh yeah, and it is June now and we have yet to open any of it...

This is a hell of a deal though and I would definitely jump on it if I didn't have them already. I'm almost tempted to get the 360 version just, well, because I have the PS3 one. But then I need to remind myself we have yet to play that one so why spend the money. I did play the Wii Pictionary about 2 years ago with my kids and had a lot of fun with that. That's why I bought the PS3 version when the tablet was a little cheaper (to get the newer Instant Artist game and newer Pictionary as well as be able to play in HD with trophies). At least I was able to unload our barely used Wii tablet and a few games on eBay for way more than I'd get now.

On a side note, you gotta love the acronyms on CAG. I had to search this thread for a bit before I could figure out what the hell you people were talking about with this $20 gift card for some MP3. I thought it was some sort of music deal. But no, you dufuses mean Max Payne 3. I wasn't even the slightest aware that there was some sort of deal for that game, nor would I ever call it MP3 .

(Edit: OK, I had to go check exactly how much I paid for the uDraw games. Of course I had gotten the only 2 they had, Pictionary and Marvel. It turns out they were $29.99, but I bought them as part of a B2G1 with Mario Kart 3DS. So I spent $70 for the 3, for an average of $23.33. So, yeah, I'm still pissed the 2 can be had for $15 right now while I spent $40+, but it isn't quite as bad as I had thought ;)).

When you bought those udraw tablets, your logic was reasonable. No one knew it would be a uflop. It almost ruined THQ. They lost 100 million dollars because of it, so no, there will not be new games. The wii version has the most games and was reasonably successful. The HD versions are what ruined THQ. If it hadn't been for Saint's Row 3 last holiday they would no longer be in business.

I remember being quite surprised they released the 360 and PS3 tablets given that the Wii one never seemed all that successful despite decent reviews and our own (fun, though limited) experience with it. I remember every store being loaded with the things the previous holiday (which is when I got my Wii one - Christmas 2010) and then sitting around all year. Wasn't there talk last summer of how badly the thing had done and how retailers were stuck with loads of them? Then all of a sudden there is a sort of re-launch with 3 versions, the new Instant Artist pack-in, an upgraded Pictionary game, and this Marvel game that got decent reviews. I figured the sales must have been better than I thought, but clearly that was not the case. Of course now it seems like a pretty stupid decision for them to expand to the other consoles.

At least I did take the initiative to unload our Wii copy and a few games on eBay when I bought the PS3 version. That did pretty much pay for the tablet (and even the games I think) as uDraw was at least in better shape back then and definitely not so deeply discounted yet. I so rarely sell off used hardware but this was an exception since I was "upgrading". Some dude in Croatia bought the tablet. Since the uDraw Studio game (which was the original pack-in) itself was not compatible with his system, he didn't even want that and much to my surprise I was able to sell that separately and got a decent amount for my used Pictionary too. Of course now they are (or soon will be with this sale) near worthless ;). (Holy hell - I looked back in my emails it turns out I sold the Wii Pictionary game, used, for $37 shipped! I'm glad I didn't just put the Wii stuff aside to "deal with later" as I'd be kicking myself now).

I'm sad about this. I bought the tablet and the Marvel game full price before Xmas last year for my five year old son because it was one of the only two things he asked for. I surprised him and got Disney Universe and Skylanders also. And that's what he played with first...and he's still not done playing with him. Tablet and the Marvel game are still sealed. He doesn't even remember that he has them.

God, my son's five and he's already started a backlog. (tear in eye)

Love this! I didn't start a backlog until I was 35.
That's fucking great. I just bought the udraw tablet this past Monday using a E-gift card.

Return it.

Every time there's a deal on uDraw I'm tempted, but it seems I don't have the required hardware: kids.

Seriously, is there any reason for an adult to buy this, other than to make Pictionary needlessly gadget-dependent?

Definitely in for :360: Pictionary. I just picked up a Udraw for $10 online new. Too bad they didn't come out with more games for it like on the Wii version.

An easy 3000 Gamerscore?

Probably not. I have kids and probably won't touch the one I just bought for them.

That's a good price for Pictionary. I got anxious after I got the tablet for 20 at NewEgg a few weeks ago and paid 19 for it.

Ordered for instore pickup. Usually I get instant confirmation. However, I didn't get confirmation at all. Anyone else has the same problem?

Yup, literally just noticed. In the process of checking order history too double check as I was still groggy placing the order
you're not looking hard enough. :)
They had Pictionary for :ps3: and :360: with TIV of $8. Until everyone traded them in.

My son (he is also 5) suckers me into DS games once every month or so based upon that month's new thing (e.g. Transformers, Madden, Star Wars, etc.). He plays them (well, attempts to play them) for a few days and then he rarely touches them again. It is sad to get excited about their interests only to have those interests completely disappear in a matter of days.

I noticed the same thing; in Order history is says that my order is "In Processing" and none of the items can be cancelled. Not sure what the hold up on email confirmation is, though.

I am tempted at $18 if only to ever play Pictionary on it but after reading the reviews for it on Amazon i am wondering if it is even worth that much lol. I want to get the PS3 version.

Can anyone comment on the cord length and the delay or skipping of the stylus when drawing. Being a CAG, i am wary of even dropping 23 on this haha.

Something might be up because I just place an order at 10:04. I got the email from paypal saying I submitted an order and then at 10:16 got my ready for pick up email. There was no "we received your order, now wait to pick it up" email.

Good to know, if I don't hear anything by this afternoon I'll go and pick it up in-store and let my store pickup order get cancelled.

Anybody have any experience with PS3 Udraw on a plasma tv? Would get it, but a bit concerned about the possibility of burn-in/image retention.

Well, I have 2 young kids but I'm not going to use them as an excuse to spend money on this crap that's no longer even being supported just because I don't have any self control when a low price is thrown in front of my face.

I bought the original Wii one at full price (pre-order when it came out) for a Christmas present for my daughter. It was ok I guess, but we have literally not played the Wii since Kirby's Epic Yarn came out (around the same time period I believe, but we played much of it and very little of the uDraw). It was probably a waste of money, but I picked up the 360 version and Pictionary today since we play games on our Xboxes most of the time...
