I said the same thing...I traded the game the next day.
It might have been a bit entertaining if I was playing with other folks, then we could mutually bitch how a full mag to the head still allows a zombie to shuffle his decaying ass over your way.

It's possible they might have patched that though so who knows?
Damn, those would be some sweet deals if true.

Yep, I hear it's actually better than Homecoming too, so at that pricepoint I'd also be willing to give it a shot. Same with RE:ORC
thanks for the quick reply, i never played the silent hills series, so thats why i asked. but I heard alot about the series, and i saw the movie for silent hills, LOL

did you get ps3 version or xbox? how was the online community for re: orc. I heard there was a supposed online multiplayer, is that true?
:pray:Please tell me you're not trolling. If so, I may just have to buy RE, that COD controller(still have at least a pack and a half of AA batteries from the $1.56 CC clearance a few years ago;)) and even the new Silent Hill.
I'm too tired to be trolling... :shame:

I got it for both consoles, only bothered playing on xbox though.
There is an online multiplayer but I didn't bother with it.
Playing the first couple missions made me want to throw a controller at my TV.

I'm really hoping RE6 doesn't completely suck like RE:ORC
Yeah but you're looking at it wrong. When I was really into World of Warcraft I barely played any other games. The secondary effect of that was that I also barely BOUGHT any other games. Even if you buy a new game just once a month or every couple months, it takes 4 months of WoW (or other $15/m MMO's) to equal just one other new game. So assuming you really enjoy your MMO and devote some time to it, you're actually saving money in the long run.
lol good point i need to make a better effort on that. that said two things. 1. i dont like online gaming all that much. my xbox live is mostly used to play with a friend back home as i am away in school. and secondly there is the soul sucking aspect that MMO's tend to have and i know myself too well i fear if i truely got into an MMO i would have a hell of time getting out of it considering it is so addicting for so many people and ive had more than 1 addiction over the years. so in a sense i dont really want play with that particular brand of fire.
Ok, I went to my local BBY doing some game trade-ins and got some DOTD (or "Gaming Today Only Deals" - that's what they called it) info for next week. I'm not sure it's good for both in-store & online, but thought it'd be good to share with fellow CAGs. Unless otherwise noted, the deals are good for both PS3 & Xbox 360:

* 6/10 (Sun): Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City $17.99
* 6/11 (Mon): CoD Black Ops Controller $9.99 (SKU 1283446 & 1283428)
* 6/12 (Tue): Silent Hill Downpour $19.99
* 6/13 (Wed): Batman: Arkham City $19.99
* 6/14 (Thu): Tritton AX120 $19.99 (Xbox 360 ONLY, SKU 3641126)
* 6/15 (Fri): TERA Online $24.99 (PC, SKU 2750092)
* 6/16 (Sat): Rocketfish Premium Bluetooth Headset $19.99 (SKU 1151063)

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here... ;)
sweet deals if true. not that i need anymore games lol though speaking of just beat darkness 1 it was rather fun. now for darkness 2
thanks for the quick reply, i never played the silent hills series, so thats why i asked. but I heard alot about the series, and i saw the movie for silent hills, LOL
I played the first game multiple times. The pulse blaster or whatever it's called was a pretty decent weapon with infinite ammo if I remember correctly. I also got the UFO ending for the original game after getting the channelling stone and using it in I think 4-5 different spots(last one is atop a light house).

Yet I bought the sequel at launch and could not get past a couple of hours without being bored outta my mind.:whistle2:#

As for the movie, all I really remember about it was they kinda based the environment on Centralia(PA), which is about an hour from here, and the chick lead character screaming.....ALOT.

Oh and that clusterfuck of an ending.:roll:

Only cool parts about it was the fact that all of the 'creatures' were actually people in body suits.....oh and PYRAMID HEAD. Sickest part was him skinning the one dude in front of the church and slinging the skin at the door.:):whistle2:#

If the DOTD on Tuesday is Silent Hill: Downpour, Amazon has a TIV of $30.00 right now for :ps3: platform. You could buy (3) copies and flip the (2) limit to Amazon for essentially a free copy from BB.

Too bad I don't have more than $3 in BB credit or I'd lock a couple copies in at Amazon hoping that the deal ends up happening come Tuesday.

EDIT: I locked in two. I might as well. Maybe I can convince some friend or family member to trade some games for me before Tuesday.;)

good luck, you can go all out, and probably net thousands of dollars with the collection you got
good luck, you can go all out, and probably net thousands of dollars with the collection you got
Not really. I have maybe 20 games(if that) anymore. Maybe another dozen or two counting prior gen stuff like PS1, PS2, Genesis and such.

Huh, I never traded in Amazon before.
So I have 7 days to ship once I process the trade-in?
Like if I locked in the price today, I have until the 13th to ship it?

If that's the case I'll probably wait till Friday and if the price holds up lock in the trade then.

yep, but i have shipped after 7 days period, and still got the game accepted, but it is best to do it in the 7 days period. but you might want to lock it in now if you planto trade it in, just in case the amazon tiv drop, which it does
good luck, you can go all out, and probably net thousands of dollars with the collection you got
That would be insane. I locked in two copies as well.

I let my in store pick up on Darkness 2 get canceled today. I played the demo and tried to like it but just couldn't get into it. Thought it better to save my $12.

Has anyone ever let an order get canceled and remember how long it takes to get you money back?
Curious if I can use my Gamers Club Unlocked buy 2 get 1 free coupon to grab 3 Silent Hills.
yes, you can, but the problem it being dotd, it might be sold out by the time you get to store to purchase it, since the coupon can only be use in store. Unless, you do the return/rebuy with store pickup, but i am not sure how that works, since i never done it

Could I place a order for instore pickup and grab it that way?

You can't return a in-store pick up on an online order right away.
I think there is a 2 hour grace period?
You can however go to customer service and ask to cancel that online order then re-ring you up then and there.
Just claim you wanted to switch payment methods or something.

Although, you probably are going to have to order it three times though cause I don't think they'll allow you to purchase multiple deal of the day items.
Then you might run into a finicky worker so it's kind of a hassle but doable.

oh yeah, i remember hearing something about limit of 1 copy, and bestbuy canceling multiple orders. Unless you really want through all that hassle, you might as well hold off on using the coupons

Yea sounds like a hassle, normally I dont start work until noon, so I could hit up the store first thing, but I have a dentist appointment that day. I think ill check the store inventory this weekend and go from there.
Silent Hill Amazon trade has plummeted. I added it when it said $30, changed to $15 immediately. Bummer!
LOl, that was fast it is now $12

It says 12.60 for me...which I kind of saw it coming but I'm using it as an excuse not to buy more then one copy of it if it does go on sale.

I kind of killed most of my GC this week.
you sold all your stuff? when and why?
That was my next to last trade with BB. I traded in something like 30-50 games with them.

I really hope that if that upcoming information is true that it stays buried in this thread... but i'm a realist so it's only a matter of time before some idiot starts an individual thread and that gets picked up by the other deal sites...

And once that happens many of those DOTD's will be OOS a few minutes after they go live... *sigh*

Good thing I'm up at that time anyways

Well happened much sooner then even I would have though:

From SD:

Gaming Deals Of The Day for all next week at Best Buy
According to kangchousa over on CAG, these are the Deal Of The Day gaming deals for Best Buy next week. They said they received some sort of printout from the rep in the gaming department showing these deals and prices.

IRaLazyBum = major $%^&%$

Well I hope people are willing to stay up all night to get these deals or go first thing in the morning

Was it posted somewhere in the store or did an employee just randomly tell them to you?

Not sure if i want ORC again (Even for that price).

Though, definitely gonna get that Black Ops controller. Only 10$ and it looks decent, can always use a second controller. But damn, looks like its only sold online, no instore pickup for them.

Thanks for link. Show's as unavailable for everywhere in like a 100 mile radius for both though XD. Either im just unlucky, or they are gonna restock or something

Unavailable here as well.

It shows unavailable all around me too. But I swear I remember seeing one of these in store for the PS3 a while ago. Maybe it's just that they're only available in very low quantities in store?

You know people outside of CAG are entitled to the deals just as much as anybody here.

That's what it looks like. They're trying to rid leftover stock. Finding those will be like an Easter egg hunt if that stock locator stays the same.
Was it posted somewhere in the store or did an employee just randomly tell them to you?
It's from "Weekly Notes Entertainment June 10 - 16, 2012," computer print-out. It also lists other deals on Movies (50% off "The Godfather Triology," $29.99, etc.) and Music (15% off all iTunes cards).
Like I mentioned earlier, it reads "Gaming Today Only Deals." So it could be DOTD or in-store only special sale on certain items.

Yep. Can't really argue against that one. Even haters have to admit that they are trying.
