Snagged one of these cabinets today. Really like it. There weren't any on the shelf (but I could see where it was supposed to be) and asked. They looked and say they had one in stock so he looked around and found it in the overstock corner. Went to another store that claimed to have it online, and sure enough they did, but it was on hold. I'm driving about 6 hours tomorrow and there are 3 Best Buys showing available on my path so I may have to make a phone call in the morning and make a quick detour. Only want a 2nd one for my DVD's (I filled this one with my games). Holds quite a bit I must say. The doors were a pain though because the wheels were at different heights so I had to adjust them quite a bit.

And Best Buy almost dicked me over today... I called several BB's this morning, before finally finding one that had the cabinet on-hand. The guy offers to hold it for me and takes my name. Things happened and I was no longer able to make it out there today to get it, so after seeing other people do it, I called the store and asked about paying for it and having my fiance pick it up. Not a problem, except the girl couldn't find it anywhere in the store.

She suggests trying another store, even after explaining to her that I called every store in the area and this is the only store that showed stock where a worked physically confirmed they had stock, going so much as to explain the condition of the packaging (slightly beat up). She apologizes again and then asks if there was another piece of furniture I would like instead (at regular price, of course).

At this point, I ask for to speak to a manager. I explained the whole thing to him and he asks for my phone number and says he will call me back when he figures out what happened. About 5 minutes later, he calls back and said it's all taken care of. Apparently, after I called and had the cabinet set aside, another store requested that same unit to be transferred, so whoever fulfilled that request ripped the "hold for pickup" label from the box and took it to wherever transfers go.

Luckily, I called before it was loaded and shipped out. The manager cancelled that transfer and put a new note on the box, and then transferred me to the phone payment girl so I could pay for it.

I'm glad I called early, instead of actually driving out there tonight like I planned, otherwise I would've been SOL with both my time and gas. At least the manager was very helpful, and turned a frustrating situation into a good one and gave me a happy ending *snicker*

I got 4 of the cabinets today. All through the OMS system. 2 were able to ship to store, then 1/2 hour later decided i wanted 2 more. Was only able to ship to home for free. Then tried two ship 1 about an hour later for a friend, and all options were unavailable. Looks like i got in under the wire.
Not for resale as they will all go in my basement side by side.
Thanks to the op for this deal, i needed some decent storage options for my rediculous backlog.

Ah . It looks like someone hit up the next closest store and grabbed that $21($26 at that store) DVD/game rack that's normally $140. Oh well. You snooze, you lose. Although the gaming section rep there is usually ok with doing OMS orders, so maybe if it hasn't sold out in the system I could get one shipped to my house for $22.

Well I bought the Air Flo controller on another DotD, so maybe you are thinking of that? I surfed through the last two weeks of posts on this thread and can't find anything about the Afterglow gamepads.

Perhaps it is all a figment of my imagination...

I don't blame you. Third party controllers are usually so-so, so paying MSRP for them doesn't make much sense. Although in the PS1/PS2 gens a company named Intec used to make some halfway decent wired controllers.

Despite all the grousing about NFS earlier in the week, I'm amazed by hot few DOTD's and coupon title sell through. My stores are replete with Battlefields and Maddens, still a lot of Resistance 3/SSX/SCV/B:AC (non-GOTY) on the shelves. I won't feel bad about getting more than one R3.
