This would be the same as getting a 12 month card for $35 and 3200 points for $16.96 (57.6% off) which is better than anything this Black Friday.
What do you mean? By returning the cards to best buy? I agree with that. The company is offering a great deal and shouldn't take advantage of them by using a exploit like that.

However, i see nothing wrong with throwing them on eBay.
No not anything wrong with selling them. Trying to return the cards to keep the points is super shady.

Oh man... and I bought so many points on the 1600 for $15 sale that I barely know what to do with them as is.

I'm still in for one since I know I can use a few months of it at least and the points may still be useful too. Thanks!

Definitely agree on that. That kind of stuff will just make companies less likely to do these awesome deals.
The DOTD is stacking with this week's offer, for those wondering where the 800 bonus points is coming from. Thanks zolar for the reminder and CheapyD/mod who edited the title for me.

Zolor, but it's cool. This is a nice thread for the new year.

Anyways, I might just get the full year for $40 with my GC since I have a ton of points left over from the Target BF deal.

they either mail the card or u can pickup at BB. the points are emailed to u. i just ordered 1. 12.99 no tax. NYC

This is very appealing. Could have had 12 months of gold for 39.99 or, 9 months of gold, and 2400 points for the same price?

Heck of a deal.

Me too! I'll have so many points that I'll actually be able to afford one of those a season pass or two.
Do I still get the 800 MSPs if I use in store pick up? Heading in Best Buy's direction today conveniently.
I believe so. The pts are e-mailed to you, so just place the order online and you'll be set.

It seems the in store pick up option will delay the 800 pt codes until stock is confirmed. Did a combo of shipping and store pickup and only the shipping orders have sent the codes and cannot be cancelled. The in store orders can still be cancelled and no point codes sent.
How soon do you get the MSRP, and how? Do they just email it to you? Im getting it for in store pickup but am not sure if i actually want it. XBL golds kinda worthless, not like PSN+ where you actually get GOOD deals and free games. Still for 800msp its worth it if you really get it

Hell if they email you a code maybe i can just return the card and keep the points, right?
Pretty sure cards are nonreturnable. If they aren't though, and you DO try to return them, they'll subtract the total amount all the points cards cost from the amount they return to you for the transaction so $10 per card (standard MSRP). That's usually what happens with returns on "buy this get that free" stuff. You'll only be getting $2.99 per card you're able to "return". Always better to sell on eBay or to your fellow CAGs on here =D
Well this is a steal specially when you have rewards to use.......thanks OP
I have a $20 rewards cert but didn't use it on these because I was under the impression I couldn't use a $20 cert on a $13 order, and others' comments about multiple orders implied to me that I couldn't get this deal multiple times on 1 order.

Was I wrong?
If I buy the 3 month card in the store do I still get the 800pts?
Not sure about just walking in and picking up a card off the shelf, but if you do in-store pickup, your email receipt actually has the points listed as a separate item, so you've got a pretty strong case with some pretty solid "evidence" if you do store pickup and are never emailed the points.

Just bought the year for $40 last week, but this is too good to pass up. I'm in for 4. At worst I'll just sell the 12 month card when it shows up.

Looks like they are all sold out of the online codes for the 800pts. Bummer. I would have jumped on a year's worth of this!

EDIT: Never mind... you have to add the 3months to your cart and then the 800 points appears automatically. Not necessary to add it to your cart.

Just ordered two of them. Free points are always nice and I had a $10 reward zone certificate I added.

What do you mean they are all sold out of the free 800 points? It's a code they email you.

I just ordered it and got the free points.

They are sold out of the digital orders of 800 pts if you try to add them to your cart separately as was suggested by another poster above.... but that poster was wrong. You don't need to add the 800pts separately. They are automatically added to your cart when you add the 3 month card.

Thanks OP, picked up 8! (I like being paid up for the maximum of 3 years)

Helluva deal!

Wonder how long it will take BoA to flag my account since the same charge was put through 8 times? :)

Eh, I've ordered multiple quantities before on Best Buy MANY times. The only thing they'll really do is cancel all orders of up to around 4-5, depending on the demand. I try ordering on separate accounts/cards when possible to avoid this! :)

Glad I saw this. In for 2 so far. May buy more later today. Had a $5 RZ cert so the first one was only $7.99! What a deal. I'm thinking I'll probably end up with 8 cards for another couple of years worth of gold.

Not that I would like to encourage being shady, but couldn't you place your orders, get your points and then not pickup the cards? Don't they cancel in-store pickups after a week of no show? Wouldn't that net you free MSPs?

Best Buy is pretty awesome. I remember last year they had 3 months Xbox Live for $8. Now with this deal, that's two years in a row that I'll getting my Live subscription through Best Buy

In for just one, already have a few 1600 msp cards left from black friday, and have enough live to last me awhile. Might change my mind by the end of the day though.

Edit: Guess I am keeping just one haha

3 months for Xbox Live and a free 800 MSP is nice, but I'm saving my Best Buy gift cards for a 5th gen iPod Touch.
