It might be a good idea to read this thread carefully if you are on the fence about dropping $30 or $40 on Ghosts. It might be a good idea to skip this COD game if you aren't dying to play it.

I have to be honest that I've spent the majority of my videogame time the past 6 years playing COD games. I'd actually be able to make a dent in my backlog if I didn't play so much COD multiplayer (You guys wouldn't believe how many different games I own for just the xbox 360 alone).
about 500 now

Ghosts is the first COD game I can't get into. I played a lot of it during double xp weekend and I play whenever my friends text me to play. That's about it. A couple people on my friends list have been asking me why I'm not online playing COD anymore. After reading this thread, I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one.

I was stupid and redeemed my Hardened Edition season pass on day 1. I've never disliked a COD game before, so there was no doubt in my mind that I was just wasting $50 on DLC. :dunce:

I do like that Ghosts is making me play differently. For example, I've been using assault rifles more now that most of the maps have such long lines of sight. I get fleeting moments of enjoyment out of it. It's mostly the social aspect when I have a party of others to play Ghosts with. But if I detailed list of all of my negative criticisms of the game, it would probably be too long to even fit in this post. :puke:

Thanks for your opinion StH1337. I think I'll pass on this as well. I have BF4 (also has its own downsides) to play with friends. Some of them have Ghosts but don't touch it or just flat out warn me to not buy it. I think I finally have that CoD "itch" under control. Ever since MW3, it's been letdown after letdown. I play on PC so my pricepoint is along the lines of 75% off(thanks Steam -_- ;). Knowing how CoD discounts are far and few between does irk me, but looking on the dwindling numbers of online players for this game reinforces my decision to hold off on this game.

I was able to price match this over the phone . Best buy has the holiday low price guarantee which started on 11/3 and goes through 12/24 so even if you bought it on release day you should be able to price match down to 38.99 . Now if you have gcu it might make life harder for you , I do but had no issues getting the price match .

Nice. That's a really great idea. Now I'm really regretting getting the Hardened Edition. This post is so good that it should be in the OP today.

Feel the same way exactly. I greatly enjoyed BLOPS2 and had a ton of fun playing with friends. A consistent group of 5-6 were on every night. Now with Ghosts, literally one guy of the group plays consistently, and he's the only one. I bought the hardened edition with him on launch and I regretted it that night. Foolishly I redeemed the season pass and DLC before I even played the game right after the midnight launch. I've sunk probably 20 hours into it which I feel is a fair enough time to rate it. And to which I say: I hate it.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I was able to get my order lowered from $59.99 to $38.99!

And even though I technically ordered it in October, since the game didn't come out until 11/5, I was well within the period to have it adjusted...

I'm glad I'm not crazy. I stupidly redeemed it right after midnight also. I was killing time while installing the disc to my hard drive. I played for a couple hours the other night and I got 3 messages from randoms asking "where did u get that mask" and "how did u get that background." They were from the hardened edition dlc. :) Not the best use of my bb credit.

Only reason I own this game AGAIN, is because I have friends that only play this, and friends that only play BF4. I also have friends that own both this and BF4. While I hate the game with a passion, I have to put it aside and just enjoy the company of friends.

Only reason why I bought this. But at least with BLOPS2 I actually enjoyed playing. This time around with Ghosts literally only one friend out of a group of six plays, and when we play I end up being more aggravated than having fun.

I like the extinction mode but hate the MP maps.  Sniping and camping.  I prefer MW3's run and gun ability but that's just me.  The original BLOPS had the best balance I felt.  But Ghosts was worth it for me due to the alien mode.  I don't like zombies because their's no goal other than to lose.

Heads up guys & gals, Diablo III PS3 & 360 are going to be the DotD on Tuesday. I can't remember exact, but I think I read that it's going to be either $25 or $35 off.

If it's $35 off it will be $20 with 20% GCU bonus. Will pick it up if that's the case. Thanks for the heads up.

So what were the circumstances that led to BB doing those $5 deals two years ago (Jesus, has it already been that long?!)?  If that ever happened again I'd be in heaven.  I'm still kicking myself for only getting one of the Flipsmash games (or whatever it was that came with a Wiimote plus for $5).

Fingers crossed for $25.  I would be in at that price.  You have to figure 39.99 msrp is just around the corner so if it is $35  I can wait longer.

Man if D3 is $25, it may be hard not to get it... I do have a bit of a backlog and I am waiting for the PS4 version to come out, just to have another PS4 game to play, but this is hitting the right pricepoint.

At the rate of how slow they are being with D3 PS4, they should just throw in the expansion as well..

From what I recall BB decided to close down a warehouse.

If i recall correctly the PS3 version of DIII looks better than the 360 version right? I remember d.loading the demos a while back and noticing quite a difference between the two. I wanted one current gen copy when it hits about $20 to actually PLAY the game, since as someone mentioned the PS4 version is taking forever. I planned on getting the PS4 version eventually though so it would be kinda weird having the ps3 and ps4 version.

just how big was the ps3 vs xbox difference? I would think it would make more sense to get the 360 version and ps4 later.

I still chose the :ps3: version since at the time I bought a launch title that had the DLC included along with the :ps3: exclusive items. To me, action rpgs are so loot centric that to know there's items out there that I woulnd't have had access had I chosen the :360: version would have bothered me.

Diablo III is $47.99. Move it along, nothing to see here.

Unless I'm an idiot and forgot I got GCU...in which case I am and do.
