▼ Read Me! FAQ ▼ Pre-Order $10 Program
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a
qualifying game and get multiple awards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy
member per game title.
What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will
I still get the 20% off discount?
- From BestBuy Support Forums (link):
For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

They couldn't figure out how to add the coupon to my Battlefront II pickup this morning so they just took $10 off of $48 rather than $10 off $60 and then $10 more off for GCU. I can still use those bonus $2 on some microtransactions, right? :D

The code was on my receipt and also in my email 15 mins after I picked it up.

if you don't like what they're telling you just hangup and call again. One guy insisted he could only offer a $4.80 credit that i'd have to call in again to have applied to a future order. I called again about a late order 5 seconds later and got a $15 gift card
THIS!

I had a Indian lady that had no idea what I was talking about and I was even try to get to go to their own bestbuy forums to see the preorder bonus but couldn't even do that. I just hung up after 18 minutes and called again and a dude gave me the 500 rewards in 3 minutes flat, no questions asked.

FYI was given a hard time when picking up BFII today. Rep said I could not use the $10 trade in coupon and GCU together. After discussion he finally got a manager to "override"

COD WWII is on sale as part of the Black Friday Early Access, I managed to price adjust through chat. Didn't think it would work, but worth a try!

From the looks of the Best Buy forums, no one has.

Nothing pending despite my purchase points banking automatically when I picked it up on Friday.

Same boat, normally the extra $10 posts the day it release for anyone that pre-ordered at least a month in advance. Nothing here and the yoda pre-order DLC came late for anyone with early access heh.

any store pickup people see their battlefront points yet?
not here. I see the purchase but with 0 and none pending(paid with GC)
The 0 pending is normal.

I have found that it doesn’t matter when you pre-order or if you pick up....the points are random.

Sometimes they like to tease us by giving points immediately, but sadly most of the time it takes more than a week.

not normal, look at the last few posts and you'll see its the exception rather than the rule that they fuck up

Have yet to receive the odyssey points and just got off the phone with BB, guy said it should show up in a "couple minutes".  F5'n until it shows up..............

I waited 5 days after contacting Best Buy for my $10 rewards for Destiny 2 PC. An employee emailed me this morning asking what game it was that I ordered, so I told him Destiny 2 and gave him my order number. He emailed me back and said Destiny 2 released on 9/6 and because I did not pick it up until the 10/24 I do not qualify for the $10 rewards. Best Buy customer service is so incompetent.......

The fact that he did not bother to even check my order number makes me want to file a complaint against him.

I have not received anything for Battlefront II as of yet. I will give it a little more time before I contact someone.

I got my rewards pretty quickly for Shadow of War and I used it towards Battlefront II.

I finally got my certificate from a loot crate. Unfortunately I spent $60 in the process. . .

Haven't gotten my points yet either, instore purchase.

Waiting as well. I was really hoping they would hit before BF, or at least Cyber Monday, but no luck. I got the $10 rewards less than 24 hours after picking up South Park, so I wonder if they intentionally delay processing these until after the sale season.

Use the chat function. I never have an issue getting my stuff resolved immediately via chat but I spell everything out with dates.

Has anybody received their $10 preorder bonus for Battlefront 2 yet? I got the regular points for the purchase, but still waiting on the bonus.
Not only have I NOT received that, I actually just received a pair of $15 reward cards for buying a pair of $150 gift cards back on 11/8, and not one but both numbers are reported by their website as invalid. Their phone support system is presently reporting wait times of 90 minutes. Clown show.

Damn, I got three of those $15 promo codes too, but I haven't tried them yet.

Game sucked, and I'm not even taking about the loot crate fiasco. Buggy, horribly slow load times, worst UI ever, unbearable progression system tied to randomness and major grinding. Ugh! Going to trade it back to GameStop for my guaranteed $30 before the 30 days are up. Hope my $10 preorder bonus comes soon, I'm sure there will be a better deal before Xmas to use it on. Thankfully I traded Destiny 1 against BF2 for the $10 coupon, so it technically only cost me $30. They took the GCU 20% of the $49.99 price after the trade up coupon, so $10+$10+10 off. Probably the worst new game I've bought in a long time. Recommend to stay clear until its failure nukes the price and they've patched the hell out of it to make it a complete game, instead of a huge beta test of crappy microtransactions you can't even buy.

It's ok.

I put maybe thirty hours into it and never came across any glitches outside of questionable math regarding a kill streak I was awarded which I knew I didn't achieve and a snafu the morning of the first big post release patch. The load times weren't any longer than your common shooter and the only progression that matters is tied to gun unlocks that you get based purely on kills....which would be fine if they were more things to unlock. Still, once you find something you're comfortable with, there's not much reason to switch.

Best Buy is so confusing. I pre-ordered Battlefront II and received the dlc code for Yoda's star card, but not the Rey and Kylo Ren skins. Rewards still haven't shown up, but BB customer service told me the usual 15-20 days after purchase garbage. When I asked about the character skins the rep said there has been a delay and the codes will go out on 12/5. Has anyone actually received the dlc skins code yet?

Got the Kylo/Rey code day 1. What is this Yoda thing?

The Yoda DLC was an epic star card unlock for Lightsaber Mastery, which I think lowers stamina drain while blocking (very useful). Mine was sent around the time the game officially launched even though I had early access from Elite Trooper. It's a good card and will probably always be used by me so I'd complain to CS to get one if you haven't yet.

I'm also still waiting for my pre-order points, so chances are we will all have to bitch at them this week to get it. Pretty annoying since this is the only game I have pre-ordered that had the $10 attached and it's the one they screwed up this time. : \

holy procrastination! i just called to get my Destiny 2 pc points. call was relatively painless. i wonder is there's a "statute of limitations" on this sort of thing? like if i called a year from now the person would be like, "fuck no i'm not giving you the points, you shoulda called when it happened!"

I got the elite trooper version so i picked mine up on Nov 14th. I just called today and they added my points almost instantly.
I called today and they told me I had to wait because it is technically only 16 business days.

He also said he has been getting lots of calls about people not getting the $10 rewards certificate.

Wait a sec, the terms don't say "business days," just "15-20 days after release date or store pickup" so you could technically argue to get your $10.

What's the number for the Elite line?
nevermind I was patched through to the Elite line after calling their main number and entering my phone, I didnt get points for SWBF2 right away though, the rep said he had to escalate the issue to the back office and I should see them in 2 to 3 days...

HOLY SHIT THESE EMPLOYEES! I've dealt with this when the offers first started but I figured by now they would have trained their employees. So far two employees at the rewards department are arguing with me that since I paid with gift cards I won't get the 500 points....

WTF!

EDIT: Ok so 2nd agent did finally give me points.

contacted BB via chat...

Spent 10 minutes with first agent to only get transferred to a specialist.

Spent another 15 minutes with the specialist going through what I already went through with the first agent only get "I have it dispatch to our dedicated my best buy department in that way they would review it for you."

25 minutes and I still got nothing, at least not yet!

That's cause chat is for order support and overall website stuff. You need to call the rewards department to get someone who can actually impact your point balance....
