RE 4
Need for Speed 2
SW: Republic Commando
Jak 3
Fight Night 2
Kotor 2 (Ths wasn't on the list but has been reported)

Unlike last time BB had some pennied guides, my BB was untouched this afternoon. I was able to get 2 of everything except RE4 (which there were none) and MGA (only one), and still leave a bunch behind. I am looking to trade my extras, so if anyone needs any of the guides not RE4 or MGA, let me know!

They also had 2 Astro Boys, which was a great find as well! ^_^

Thanks a ton for the heads up OP!

I was able to pick up 2 copies of Astro boy, and they still had Breakdown and Psi-cops available, nothing left on Madness though. Also snagged up the only copy of RE4, MGA, and Tekken 5, i noticed that they also had available SW: Republic Commando, Fight Night 2, and NFS2, but i decided that i'll probably never get those anyways, didn't wanna walk out with a ton of penny guides. thx for the deal, was really looking for a RE4 guide.

No penny guides at the Tallahassee Best Buy. They're usually fully stocked but I guess they're cracking down now. I'm hoping it's just this once but I doubt it. Congrats to everyone else though.

Woot! Mucho Mucho thanks OP. Gotta bunch of the guides I've been wanting for a while. They were the last ones at my B. Got a Tekken 5, DMC3, KOTOR2, and a Fight Night. Also got a Castlevania.

I went to pick up thug for the gba today and they gave me thug 2 instead. I just going to sell it to wherehouse for 16.24 since i don't have a gba.

My BB has tons of guides (Bellevue WA), I got RE4, Tekken 5, DMC3, Metal Gear Acid, Xenosaga2, Jak3, and Astro Boy PS2. All for about $5.

You should have used the $5 off coupon. It would have been about free.

Picked up Breakdown and Republic Commando guide. Thanks OP!

Is the $5 off coupon everyone is mentioning the GGC coupon or something else?

Not sure if this is a new markdown or not (or if this deal can be easily found somewhere else), but Metal Arms (Xbox and PS2, unsure about GCN) was $9.99 at Best Buy. I know it's common to find for $19.99, but I hadn't personally seen $9.99 new for it yet...

I snagged one each of Astro Boy, Tomb Raider, and Breakdown. No guides at the two BBs I checked.

If anyone would be kind enough to give a fellow CAG (who isn't a hoarder) a deal on Xenosaga Ep. II, Resident Evil 4, and DMC3 guides that aren't all torn to hell I'd much appreciate it. I'm not going to give you a whole ton of money, but I'll certainly be willing to pay you a few bucks for the trouble. Anybody willing to help? If you need a game, perhaps I could pick one up and trade you - I know there were more Astro Boys and Breakdowns at my store...

I went to BB Porter Ranch, Woodland Hills, and Thousand Oaks, and came up with just 2 fight night guides, 2 MG Acid guides, 2 Tekken guides, and Astro Boy. If anyone wants to trade me a RE4 or DMC3 guide for one of my MG Acid guides, id be happy to do so

I went and got DMC RE4 Xeno2 MGA guides for a penny. The manager came up to me and said, "what you got there, game guides?" He loooked at which ones I had, then he just left.

Has anyone actually played Astro Boy? I picked it up, but am reluctant to open it after hearing so many negative things about it.

I stopped by the Pearland, TX BB yesterday on my way to the airport. They had multiples on all the $4.99 games (except psi-ops) and multiples on all game guides as of about 1:00 PM yesterday. I only ended up picking up Astroboy, NCAA Football 2005, March Madness 2005, RE4 guide, and DMC 3 guide because I was in a hurry. I'm in NY now, so I'll report back on some local NY BB locations as soon as I can.

Pretty bad game... the one to get is the GBA version.

If you like watching little boys parade around in their underwear in huge go-go boots doing jump skips into the air, then Astro Boy is your game.

Edited. :(

Trade it into FYE for $20 credit if you're not interested in trying it out. (Better yet, try it out and then trade it into FYE for $20 credit.)

Oh my god, I didn't notice that. That's quite oddly hilarious.

I have an extra Xenosaga 2 guide available for trade. PM if interested.
Looking for guides for the Hitman series Xbox or others.

Picked up Fight Night Round 2, Tekken 5, RE4, NFSU 2, Metal Gear: Acid, and Jak 3.

PM me if you're willing to trade a DMC3 or a Xenogears 2 guide.
Has anyone actually played Astro Boy? I picked it up, but am reluctant to open it after hearing so many negative things about it.
I bought it and don't think the game is too bad; however, I like most anything Sonic Team makes. Mostly, it's just easy and short.

I was just going to keep it sealed and return it to Wal-Mart since I never shop at FYE because the place is way over priced.

btw, I've played the GBA verison and it does indeed own, but it is developed by Treasue and they always have good games.

Anyone know where the best trade in values are for the new $5 BB titles? I just picked up Astro Boy PS2, NCAA Football '05 GC, XIII PS2, and Tomb Raider (the free pizza one)? I keep reading Astro Boy's is like $18 at FYE, seriously? Do they take multiple copies of games at FYE?

It seems that all people want to do with these price drops on games is just to trade/flip them in. There doesn't really seem to be anyone that wants to keep them to play. Maybe those that are just buying them for trade in should just leave them so somebody that actually wants to play them can.

Astro Boy is a horrible game, and the fact that FYE gives 18 dollars in credit and Gamerush gives 7 is just more incentive. Espically when the game is free to begin with.

And not much else on the list is that better, game wise, except for Psi - Ops.

I'm honestly trying to get Astro Boy (and Psi-Ops) to play it. I really liked the demo that was in OPSM. I really don't see why people think it's so horrible. I think they're just not giving it a fair chance...seems that a lot of people don't like the character.

I bought at least one of each of Psi-ops, Astro Boy and Crash N Burn to keep.
I really want Psi-ops but for Xbox not PS2, which I have 2 copies of the PS2 version. If I can't trade them they will be going to GR.

Edit: I got your PM Sweettooth9 but your PM box is full.

I just got back and got myself a copy of Tomb Raider(to play, not flip), and 2 copies of Metal Gear Acid, 2 copies of Tekken 5, Jak III and star Wars. From last trip i Have a Need for Speed, and a Jak III.

I want to keep a copy of Jak III and Tekken 5 for the chance i get those games, but the others are up for trade. I'm interested in RE4 or Xenosaga 2.

i went to another BB on my way to trying to find some of those star wars BK toys and i picked up a KOTOR 2 guide, a nfsu 2 guide, a mercenaries guide, and another copy of march madness 2005 for free.

I PM's Santurio (see his post below yours) and asked him if he could set you up with the 2nd copy of Psi-Ops he said he had.

I've been having no luck on the phone with the BB reps (which is normally only semi-successful) in trying to find Psi-Ops, though I'll go look in person when I go to BB tonight.

Oh yeah I got all 3 PM's but I only mentioned sweetooth because I couldn't reply. But really you are great shrike. But yeah I have that copy on hold for Coffee and we will definitely work something out.

29 CAGs that picked up R&C: UYA from me when it was on sale at Sears might agree with you there. :D

I do what I can. ;)

The Moment Everyone Has Been Waiting For...
My review of the "Red Baron Stuffed Pizza Slices"

Ok i'm assuming this is YMMV but on the Tomb Raider Ps2 game at BB there's a coupon for a free 2 pack of Red Baron Stuffed Pizza Slices. Retail Value = $2.79

My Review:
They're REALLY GOOD although not as big as the box makes them look.
Of course cook these in your oven, NOT your microwave!!!

NOTE: When i went to pick up these at SafeWay last night they were NOT in the Pizza section. They were in the Corn Dog,Pretzels,etc.. section.

you should be a professional reviewer! :D the details, diction, and all the pros and cons really fleshed out that review :D :applause: ;)

I went to the Eastgate Best Buy location during lunch today. I found most of the guides listed here and there are still copies of the following at that store:

Lord Of The Rings: The Third Age
Need For Speed Underground 2
Metal Gear Acid
Pokemon Fire Red & Leaf Green (They had about 20 of these left)
Devil May Cry 3
Fight Night Round 2

There are probably a few more that I can't remember right now as well. Thanks op for the deals.

I just got back from the middletown, NY BB and picked up the last 2 copies of Psi-Ops (One for trade to the first CAG who offers me another decent cheapass game in exchange), 1 FN:R2 and 1 Metal Gear Acid guide. They had 1 copy of astroboy left, but I didn't notice much else on the $4.99 game list. They still had a bunch of guides including FN:R2, LOTR:TTA, Tekken 5, and a few others I can't recall off the top of my head. Anyway, I'm psyched to reaquire Psi-ops as that game is really a fun game to play. Also, for Houston area CAGs, before I got on the plane to come to NY yesterday, I hit the Pearland BB and they had about 15 copies of March Madness 2005 and multiple copies of every guide on the list including RE4 and DMC3. Hope all this info can help someone!

Edit: I tried to use the $5 off coupon, but the girl said the game had to be atleast $5 for them accept it.

WOW 15 copies of March Madness 2005??
You definetely need to check out the "FYE trade in thread" in the request a deal forum.

That game gets $21 credit there.

If I would have known that yesterday, I would have picked up more than one copy....Damn! Oh well, I got it to play myself and FYE is atleast an hour ride from where I live anyway. I'll check again when I go home next week....I doubt I'll have any luck though.

Off topic edit: I was at that FYE the other day and traded in about 6 games and was able to purchase a pretty decent portable DVD player with the credit. That's the first time I traded in games at FYE and I couldn't believe some of the trade values....that place definitely rocks for trade-ins!
