Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

There are twelve titles on this list. Can I get 12 $20 certificates if I pre-order and purchase all of them?
Yes! With this offer, members are eligible for up to 12,000 Bonus Reward Zone points if they pre-order and purchase all games.

How do I link my Reward Zone account to my BestBuy.com account to ensure my purchases are tracked?
Check out this handy post by Kyle-BBY with instructions on how to do so.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

Am I still eligible for all additional offers that might be available for the new games such as DLCs or free merchandise?
Yes, customers are still eligible for additional offers they may come available with these new releases.

If I return any of the games, will I still be eligible?
Any game returned will be disqualified for that title’s $20 certificate offer.

If I pre-order and/or purchase any of the above listed games using a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates, will they count as a valid pre-order and purchase towards the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A pre-order and/or purchase with a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates will count as an eligible purchase toward the $20 bonus certificate offer. The Reward Zone program rules regarding earning points when a gift card or certificate is used still apply.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

If I receive a price match from an in-store or BestBuy.com purchased game, will I still qualify for the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A price match done in-store or on BestBuy.com within policy will not affect your eligibility for the $20 bonus certificate.
$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

The complaining about these points/DLC need to die down. Come on guys/gals...
AC3. Why? Known, established IP. The developers are highly regarded. An interesting setting that isn't overused in the video game world. Multiplayer.

I'm also a big fan of the AC series after playing 2, Bro, Rev this past June, so I may be a bit partial. Dishonored does look good, but its the one game that has been on and off my list over the past few weeks. Its the one fringe title of this deal for me.
I'm currently working my way up though the series. Right now I'm on brotherhood and love everything about the series besides the first AC. In the end I'll probably choose AC3 since the whole concept of fighting for George Washington sounds so cool and makes me proud to be an American lol
Three words: Whale. Oil. Lamp.

To give you a better answer, I think you'd be happier getting them both. I realize that it means an initial $120 to do so, but you know that the price of AC3 is going to drop inside the price match window (especially since we're talking pre-Christmas pricing). If Dishonored ends up being so-so, you're still likely to be able to trade it in for Best Buy for around $40 shortly after release.

When it's all said and done, at worst that $120 should give you around $80 in BB credit and AC3 for the cheapest price within the PM window.
Lol yeah I think BB has the best pre order bonus for Dishonored out of all the other upcoming games. Since you mentioned that it'll most likely trade in for $40, I might as well just pre order both. Can you still get a price match on a game even if you traded it in already?
Probably a really stupid question, but I can still pre-order Borderlands 2 and qualify for this, right?
You can pre-order all the way up till midnight on the 17th.

I wouldn't say it'll get close to $40. The only games that really do are hot sellers (Madden/NCAA thus far), but you should definitely get $30 or so (Lollipop Chainsaw/Amazing Spider-Man).

And I don't know. I traded in NCAA shortly after release because I didn't like the Heisman mode and would rather have the Connected Careers in Madden. I'm a Silver member, so I'm still PM eligible, but I wouldn't do it in fears of getting banned/flagged for it.

If you're trading it back to Best Buy, it should be because the game isn't what you wanted; not because you're trying to make as much money as possible as a reward for buying the game.

If you're going to want to get rid of it and price match to make it cheaper, then trade/sell the game somewhere else. Or, you know, just wait until the game is out and reviewed and then buy it when the price hits a range you're willing to pay.

I'm not buying just so I can trade it in. That is just an option in case the game isn't as good as I think it'll be

Traded in MLB the Show, God of War 3, and Resistance 3 for 44.10. Used $10 savings code so only 5.89 out of pocket for Borderlands 2. Let's hope they fix Madden $20 gc by Borderlands 2 release date.

Not sure if I should cancel my AC3 preorder since its gonna drop like it always does. Already have Borderlands 2, Halo4 and BO2 preordered
You don't think they'd actually flag you for trading a game in and then pming the sale price? Dumped madden on Monday.
No I didn't think that they would ban me since I bought the game for full price at release. Why would they care what I did with the game after I bought it for full price from them?

Sorry man, wasn't directing it at you. Just trying to watch what I do, because I'm probably going to start working in the gaming dept soon.

Oh haha I gotchu, no worries.
BB doesn't charge for preorders until you pick up in store or the game is shipped, correct?
If you pre-order online (at least for in-store pickup) you pay the full price as soon as you order it. If you pre-order in store it's $5 deposit.

For shipping I am not 100% positive but I do believe you pay right away as well, I'm sure if I'm wrong another cag will correct me :D

Maybe someone clear this up
I went on a pre order spree today and ordered most of the games coming out this fall. I was going to pre order Assassisn creed 3 but they no longer had the pre order case. Fortunately the gaming rep called another best buy 10 miles away that had one more left. I drove over there and pre ordered the game from there. I asked if I could pre order from that store but pick up the game at my local bestbuy when the game releases. He told me that the pre order recipes should work at any best buy if they have extra copies. Is this true? Will I still get the $20?

What I've noticed is that games with heavy multiplayer components get the higher initial TIV. Also, why would you not pm the game? Have they banned anyone for doing what you've described? How does BBY even know the copy you traded in was from them?

Also any ETA on the Madden 1000 points?
Is anybody going to the midnight launch event? I assume you have to show up at midnight to get the poster.
There's a poster? I wish my best buy still did midnight launches.

Ok so I know the talk of people not getting any mention of the points or preorder credit crap has died down but.... I bought a 3ds with 3 games last Tuesday and there is no mention of points pending or the purchase at all on my account. Wtf gives? I know my account was linked to the purchase. Maybe the system is just extremely slow or something?

i traded some games in yesterday, points are already pending on my account, i made a purchase yesterday and it shows nothing about that. it also shows that i preordered madden but then shows nothing from when i purchased it. so it seems to be delayed on purchases for some reason
So I pre-ordered Madden online for instore pickup. Who do I contact about a price adjustment, the store or web site?
In store pick ups you have to call corporate. Bought from store, you do it in store.

EDIT: Just called and got my PM. Call took only 14 mins.

If i preorder borderlands 2 from bestbuy and Don't pick it up till the 24th because I'm going on vacation and won't be home till then will I still get the preorder bonus and the 1000 reward zone points? I preordered it from GS yesterday because I liked there preorder bonus better with that extra piece of DLC but now I think I will be able to download what I got from GS for like $5 later so I'd rather have the reward zone points but don't know how that works if I won't be able to pick it up till 6 days after it comes out.

i am pretty sure bestbuy send out the preorder bouns before you pick up your actual game, if it is in a code form, but if the dlc code is included with the actual game. you are going to have to pick up the game. you need to pick up the actual game to get the reward zone points.

Idk that was a huge run on sentence for me. Lol. But what I want to know is if I preorder in store and just put $5 down will I still get the premiere club and the 1000 reward zone points if I pay the game off when I pick it up 6 days after the game comes out. Cause I be going on a cruise to Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Mexico!!! :D

the answer is yes, and i am too lazy to fix my grammer on the internet.

Uh ok now to decide if I feel like going to best buy and preordering the game again like I did yesterday. The creature Slaughter dome does sound pretty cool. Did any of u guys pre order the game at GS?

Because of the creature slaughter dome map u get...

Just got my Madden 13 PM'd too. With the $10 credit from in store pickup and (hopefully) the $20 RZ coming in soon looks like another great deal just like NCAA 13. Thank you Best Buy's awesome policy :D

Has anyone's Madden purchase go from pending to posted? Mine shows that the points have posted to my account already, well ahead of the normal posting time:

Mine cleared today as well. Interesting. No $20 bonus yet - I did PM Target this morning though...
Mine are still pending and no bonus points, anyone know if I do the 30day price match if it will cancel out my $20 bonus?
it won't. i did it for ncaa 13 and got the $20 rewardzone cert no problem. just did it for madden 13 today. however, no one is getting the $20 cert for madden until best buy fixes the issue (1000 pts not showing up in rewardzone).

I contacted the RZ CS dept. the other day regarding not seeing the $20 for MAdden. They immediately added 1000 points to my account. SO no issues there. If I still happen to the the "real" $20 cert when they fix the error in addition that would be nice. I am not counting on it though.

SO pre-order at both stores. Then just use the code off the Gamestop receipt and then return the game to Gamestop. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!
Sorry if this has already been asked, but is the blops2 hardened edition work with this promo?
From what I read on the website, and asking an employee. Yes it will :bouncy:

I want to make sure I understand how this promo works....

Do I have to sign up for the Gamers Club Unlocked and pay 14.95

To be eligible to get the $20 RZ credit?
