Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

There are twelve titles on this list. Can I get 12 $20 certificates if I pre-order and purchase all of them?
Yes! With this offer, members are eligible for up to 12,000 Bonus Reward Zone points if they pre-order and purchase all games.

Check out this handy post by Kyle-BBY with instructions on how to do so.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

Am I still eligible for all additional offers that might be available for the new games such as DLCs or free merchandise?
Yes, customers are still eligible for additional offers they may come available with these new releases.

If I return any of the games, will I still be eligible?
Any game returned will be disqualified for that title’s $20 certificate offer.

If I pre-order and/or purchase any of the above listed games using a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates, will they count as a valid pre-order and purchase towards the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A pre-order and/or purchase with a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates will count as an eligible purchase toward the $20 bonus certificate offer. The Reward Zone program rules regarding earning points when a gift card or certificate is used still apply.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

If I receive a price match from an in-store or BestBuy.com purchased game, will I still qualify for the $20 bonus certificate?
$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

The complaining about these points/DLC need to die down. Come on guys/gals...

Yeah this is not going to go over well.

How long did it take before they realized they had almost no PS3 pre-orders and tons of PC? They must have so many copies if this is the case.

I had a similar experience to vigilante. They told me I ordered PC, but I knew the employee scanned ps3 as he is one of the few reliable employees. Once I saw marymarymary's and vigilante's posts, I realized there may be a problem since I remember 2 distinctly different preorder cards.

All those years of reading Batman comics finally paid off. World's Greater Detective doesn't have the same ring to it though.

I just received an email with my preorder DLC code from Borderlands 2. The guy who handled my preorder at the store yesterday was really cool and knew what he was doing (well, except for missing the DLC step). I didn't push the issue since I didn't know I could've received it on the receipt. It doesn't really matter to me since I won't be able to tear into BL2 until the weekend.

I had the same issue. My preorder slip said PC as well. So my question is am I gonna get my DLC? I haven't received it yet. I saw something about a specific BB email address but wasn't sure what to do. Do I call CS, email BB or just wait longer?

EDIT: I canceled my instore preorder of RE6 and Black OPs 2 and went ahead and ordered them online with instore pickup to avoid this BS in the future.

I had a similar problem, only they scanned the Xbox preorder instead of the ps3. When I picked it up they had to do a return on the preorder then sell me the game. They still gave me the ps3 dlc though with the game - as a "package discount". I expect issues with the $20, but I'll go to the forums for that. Basically, it was a slight hassel but I'll still get everything. You should be able to do the same with the PC/ps3 mixup.
To get your code look at the BB Gaming forum it says you have to email a special CS mail box if it was not on the receipt.

You can try emailing the guy on this forum. Seems to be the best way to get it done fast.

I swear I love Best Buy even if their sales staff is annoying. Their customer service is top-notch though.

I reserved Borderlands 2 through their website at 11:30pm on 9/17 despite the website order button being changed from "preorder" to "add to cart"; hoping I could still get in on that $20 dollar deal since I am a Gamer's Club Unlocked and I technically preordered the game since midnight hadn't come yet switching over to the 18th.

I went to pickup my Borderlands 2 "preorder" at my local Best Buy yesterday and I inquired if I was still eligible for the 1,000 RZ points since I preordered so late. The girl didn't know but she instructed me to contact Reward Zone customer service. I called them up and explained the situation and the lady on the phone at first said I wouldn't qualify since the website had changed over. However, as part of a customer service gesture and I am a "good customer," according to her, she would manually issue me the 1,000 RZ points for my account. Lo-and-behold, the 20 dollar certificate should up in my account this morning! :applause:

It is gestures like this that make me want to continue shopping at Best Buy and renew my membership when it comes time. Gamestop would never do anything like this for me and why I am glad I stopped shopping there a few years ago in favor of Best Buy/Target.

Brings a cheapass tear to my eye.
Not true. You also get the fifth character class for free when it comes out later this month. Otherwise you have to pay $10 for it later. Also if you hold out until you are a higher level, the guns in the chest won't be junk.
I'll stick to Gunzerker anyway, but yeah forgot about 5th character. I have another golden key so just wanted to see if it worked.

Dude I've been patient. But when BB constantly messes things up it gets a little annoying. I'm more concerned with the $20 GC offer than getting the pre order code.

On the other hand it seems like BB is making use bend over and take it once again.
It pays in the long run to be nice and patient.
I agree. While it might be a bit irksome to have to wait for this situation to be rectified, there's definitely no reason to be a jerk about it.

When you pay money for things you have every right as a customer to be upset.

It's more than irksome or annoying, it's downright unacceptable at this point.

Its alright to be upset, just remember that the person you are talking to at customer service isn't the one that screwed up is all. When you are nice and willing to work with them, the next time and time after that, they will be more willing to help and make sure you get what you are entitled to.

Does not change the fact that being upset at CS is going help. They did nothing. Now if they brush you off or do not try to help then by all means rage away. I always go in being as nice as possible. If they do not listen to what I am saying then I get angry.

:applause:

Indeed. As a former employee (during college) I know there are a lot of good BB ppl. out there. Screw ups do happen (it's life), but overall BB does/tries to do a good job of making the consumer whole. You run into some assholes but you can run into some good ppl. A CS rep made a mistake in giving me a price match over the phone for my in store order. For my inconvenience I received a $65 gift card. Simply because I was cool about the situation the rep said.

Just got an email for the PC DLC even though I pre-ordered the PS3 version.

Called RZ Silver support and they said they would note my account, and as soon as they get more codes from 2K they would start passing them out again.

I got my PS3 code emailed to me today. I never had a DLC code print on my receipt and I always wait until the next day to get it Via email. Also, no PS3/PC mixup here. It says PS3 pre-sale my pre-order receipt with a sku of 3433096.

xbox 360 code for borderlands 2 came without a problem, was a little concerned due to past issues but they came through this time. Would be cool if the points were posted early so I could apply them to Dishonored. Probably won't but that's okay, will just use them for Black Ops 2.
Is the in-store preorder bonus DLC process still the same to get it on your receipt? Does the employee have to hit the 'suggested sale' button (F10)?
Bump.

I think if this process still works it should take care of the PC/PS3 mixup since the DLC should come up with the version you pay for at POS.

I guess lesson learned for the next one of these things. Obviously the people at the pick up station in Best Buy have a disconnect with the gamers department. Make sure to tell the cashier they have to ring a special SKU to get these codes and RZ discounts to show up. Crazy that they all seem to have been taught to return the pre-order ticket instead of completing the pre-order.

And, as has been stated, it really does pay to be calm and nice. They're just doing their job and it's rarely their fault that they don't know all this POS magic that management should give them the run down on before a big preorder event.

Yeah this is definitely a management issue. It is their job to be sure the employees are in the know. Issuing a memo just won't cut it. I am bringing in the page from the BBY forum with the sku on it and I am just going to let CS read it to make sure it gets on my receipt. In the past I have not had problems with them mailing it later but if I can get it now that is best.

I see Far Cry 3 though (3rd down). Black Ops is not on there but it is on the in store flyer for sure.

I have 3 items...

First, I was able to get Best Buy to price match the $10 gift card toys r us was offering. Sweet.

Second, I assume that because I received the email code, I should have no problem with the $20 back? Typically, when does this post.

Third, I pre ordered black ops 2 hardened and Halo 4 limited from the Kiosk. Should I be concerned that I do not see the bonus DLC listed? I know for halo 4 if I tried it online, it lists the armor and helmet.

Yep, this UPS Mail Innovations thing through USPS that Best Buy used is officially completely useless. My package apparently arrived at the USPS side on Monday within my country and they couldn't even get it to me by today? That's just lazy.

Mail Innovations is really slow. I did get mine today, though.

I'm a premier silver member and now I see that all my orders are eligible for free expedited shipping. I don't think that was the case back when I preordered Borderlands 2. I might cancel and reorder with the expedited shipping and see if that makes a difference.

Activision doesn't want any retailer offering what could be viewed as a "sale" on any CoD games when they are first released. Best Buy is trying to work around that but it's obvious that Activision has made them be somewhat discreet about it.

Yea I know the drill with Activision by now. I'm just wondering if the deal is dead when it comes to Black Ops. I know with Amazon once you've locked in whatever deal they were offering it's pretty much guaranteed but with Best Buy, I'm not sure. I want to know if Best Buy will tell me, "well we're no longer offering that deal," after I get the game from them.
