Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

No for NCAA I pre-ordered in-store the Monday before release with $5 down and the online order I placed the day of release which wasn't considered a pre-order anymore but since I fulfilled both parts of the promo ( pre-order before release and purchase within 5 days after release), I got the $20 certificate no problem and once my 1,000 points were pending I used the $5 receipt and exchanged it for a @gamer magazine.

how is x-com games? in terms of difficulty, i am kinda of interested in it from the gameplay i saw.

Same here. A turn-based strategy game with a competent control scheme on consoles? Yes please. I just hope the 360 keeps a multiplayer community for at least a little while. Possible double dip if there's a nice steam sale sometime this year, perhaps over the holidays.

I think the original one was notoriously difficult. The new one has variable difficulty with the highest difficulty being pretty hard. The producers themselves have a tough time with it from what they said on livestreams.

you are right tho, there is a fps game in development call "x-com". last i heard the development was halted for whatever reason. the game that is coming out with $15 gc offer from bestbuy is call " x-com: enemy unknown". there are two different types of games, but similar title

Yeah that is still in development. They announced that game (just called XCom) in 2010 but it has been delayed several time. As far as I know they still plan to release it next year. This game (Enemy Unknown) was announced long after the FPS one and it will release way before.

i think it is mostly money issues these days, with alot of companies.

I renewed mine on Friday when I picked Borderlands 2 and all I did was printed the paper from the preorder machine that they have. I got an email today saying that I successfully renewed my subscription til 9/21/2013.

I hope it doesn't cause any problems with the $20 RZ bonus, since I was still GCU when I preordered.
 
I just finished pre-ordering and paying off Fifa 13. I wonder when the $20 gift cert will post on my account. I am unsure which to purchase with my cert, dishonored or borderlands 2.

I don't know if you've heard but you're thinking of the shooter XCOM no subtitle. It's been stuck in development hell for a while and I'll be surprised if it comes out and even more it it's of any quality, but who knows. Maybe Enemy Unknown will build up some brand equity. That would be cool. This game deserves it.

it says "exchange" at the top, but then next to the borderlands 2 preorder it says "return" and $5 credit

is this what it's supposed to say?
 
I should get my $20 from the BL2 preorder in a few weeks.

The only question is what to use it for.
Should I add some MS points to buy the BL2 season pass, or use it on a preorder for Dishonored?

You have to pre-order the games like normal but just purchase the titles using the b2g1 coupons. Try to make sure the free game isn't one you need for a $20 credit but you should still be able to get the credit even if it's the free one but you may have to call/pm the forums mods. After you receive the $20 credits either transfer the $5 pre-orders to other titles,

Borderlands 2 already appeared on mine and my fiance's accounts, I wish Hitman was a part of the deal, guess I can use my lamestop points to get 25 off of it.

That seems to be a wise decision. All my future pre-orders will definitely be done online with in-store pickup, if I go with BB again.

My Borderlands 2 points still aren't even pending.
 
Does anyone know how to move a pre-order to a different game or purchase? I pre-ordered the regular version of Halo 4 accidentally, and while I was at BB recently I went ahead and pre-ordered the limited version (didn't have my reciept with me.) How can I move the pre-order for the regular version to something differnt (or get a refund on it?) And I somehow forgot to get the poster on BOTH pre-orders. Totally walked out without it.

On another note, my RZ points for pre-ordering Borderlands are not showing up. Borderlands has shown up (it looks weird though - its saying I only paid $4 for it, therefore I'm only getting 8 points for it with the GC double credit.) I'm guessing this means I'll need to be calling RZ customer service since I doubt the 1000 points is going to show up at this point...
 
Go up to CS and cancel it. Or go up to CS with a different preorder slip and say you want to cancel one and use the money to preorder another.

Heh, this seems way to easy. I see my local BB customer service head exploding when I ask them to do this (I love the gaming rep at my store, but the CS desk there is probably the most atrocious I've seen outside of a Wal Mart - and some of those WM CS desks put my BB CS to shame.)
 
Just pricematched Madden to get another $10 off (from Fry's). Definitely going to order 2K13 now and hope for a pricematch.

Yeah, I didn't see that sale. On another note, I asked the rep if I paid with both gift cards and reward zone certificates what would happen. They said as long as I paid some of it with a gift card, the pricematch would be a gift card sent to me. Is that how it works? Should the amount of the gift card I used be at least the pricematch amount?

Did you ask they send a new gift card to you? If not you have a gift card out there now floating with 10 extra dollars on it. They will put it right back on the gift card you used.

Edit: Ok, just got off the phone with them. The pm GC wasn't the one I was thinking of, but that supposedly did get processed on the 18th. So probably a few more days on that one.

The GC I WAS thinking of was for the 4 $10 codes I was missing from the order online for instore p/u promo. They had the notes in there that I should have been issued that GC, but for some reason it hadn't been processed yet. She went ahead and resubmitted it for me. Another 7-10 days, so we'll see.

i agree. Reading all of the experiences that people posted on this thread made my decision much easier to make. I don't want to have to deal with calling CS if I can avoid it.
 
Just preordered FIFA 13 online for PS3. This is my first FIFA game and soccer game. I figured for $60 w$20 GC and that it will be on sale within 60 days for me to get a price match was good enough for me and my son to try it. He is 8 and plays U10 soccer so hopefully he can pick up on some things with this game.

Also going to get Dishonored and NBA 2k13. Thinking about ordering RE6 but not sure just yet.

For my PM, the rep just put 550 RZ pts in my account (extra covered tax) whereas the previous PM was by gift card through the mail. Think I'd rather go the RZ points route as it's pretty instantaneous. The GC took about a week to get to me.

Okay, so I walked into BB today to preorder RE6 Anthology. I didn't see the Anthology preorder card, just regular RE6. Great, so I take card up to a cashier to see if I'm not seeing the card (for some reason the BB I go to has no one in gaming at all). The guy takes like 10 minutes to check. He's like 'here's RE6' and I'm like, 'but, sir, I'm trying to see if you guys have the anthology'. No luck. I got annoyed really fast.


So then, I'm like screw it, I'll just preorder black ops 2. I didn't know there was a $5 preorder limit. When I got to Gamestop, they let me put anything over $5 if I want. So the guy says it's $5, and I'm like I'll put $20 on it and hand it to the cashier . He hands me a $15 back without saying anything. I'm like, no I wanted to put $15 on it. He rudely says, ''We don't do that''. WTF? Communication much.? This was my first time trying to preorder a game at BB and was dissapointed.


Meh, I only preordered for the $20 Giftcard. Maybe it was a good thing I didn't get Anthology and will probaly wait for it to go on sale. $90 is a lot of money for a few RE games and I'm supposed to be a cheap ass..

Oh no, I used a credit card so I will get a refund. I just asked since I have extra gift cards and rewards certificates to use for NBA 2K13 and Black Ops 2.
 
Did anyone receive their $20 for Borderlands 2 yet? I already got mine from Madden 13, but it seems like its longer than it was last time? Or I have bad memory.

Best way to do is order it online for in store pickup. You can pay in full online, instore you can only pay the 5 bucks (who knows why) Doing a PM is easier online 2.

$5 is max for in store preorder. Just avoid the issue and order online with store pickup.

I'm debating RE6 Anthology too. Got 65 in credit with Borderlands 2 points pending so if that clears before release date only $5 out of pocket. Might as well spend extra $30 for 5 other games.

I just signed up for Unlocked today and preordered the Halo 4 LE...does that work for this $20 deal? I didn't see it listed as eligible on the instore kiosk.
