I did the same, and I got the same emails today. Is it maybe the steelbook add that's ready for pick-up? Mine was "shipping only," but maybe that's a mistake, too.
 
I never got my MGRising RZ points. I think she messed it up when she was scanning the preorder receipt. Is there a number/email address that people have had success with?
 
Anyone try to pick up their Dead Island Riptide yet? May stop by after work and try. Considering calling first to make sure it's ready as I don't want to make that drive if I don't have to.

Agreed and there's 3 Gamestops within 2 miles of the Best Buy I was at so I was really surprised when they said this. I show them prices on my phone all the time and they've never questioned price matching Toys R Us, Kmart, or Target before.
 
FYI, someone made a mistake somewhere in the system w/ Dead Island Riptide. My store doesn't have a copy waiting for me and aren't scheduled to get any in until right before the 23rd. As suspected.

Bought BBY MGR 2-21 at $50 (PM retail Frys price) at time of Purchase.
I am GU and Silver also.

NewEgg has MGR for $40 currently. Can I still do another PM in effect making my cost $20?

Am hearing some are successful. My store are Nazis and liars so I'd like to make sure the old policy favors me (and if it's stated in black and white somewhere official).

They probably took off $5 from the purchase for the random $5 dlc charge, and did that for their benefit otherwise their register would be off by $5

Hmmmm anything bought before a certain date should be under the old policy. Make sure to stress this, it was bought during the OLD policy period.
Printout the policy change page that says that if you can find it. But people are unpredictable and you might get a evil manager.

I just got off the phone with bb getting a pm for this. If you bought it in store you will probably only get $10 back but it does apply to the old policy so you can pm. I purchased online and did a pm after the fact for the frys price then did a pm again and got 30 back total. They never check for previous pm's online (prob on another screen) but with a rep in stop the first price they look at is the $50.

..... I am going to miss this when it is gone.

But even under the old policy, couldn't you only PM once?
 
FYI, for those that get price match or price correction as a workaround...as far as I guess it's ok.

I put all my bby purchases on credit card. So if it was indeed a game return and rebuy fix My credit card statement would show these quick transactions. Has not happened the 3 times they fuck my orders.

(I am done with bby preorders 4-19, it's not worth the aggravation)

Anyone have any luck PMing Newegg's $49.99 price on God of War: Ascension? I've struck out twice (and rightfully so) because the purchase took place after the March 3rd policy change so now BBY won't PM a competitor's price.

Might have to wait for the price to drop at Best Buy, per the new policy that's in place. :cry:

Weren't they not allowed to price match newegg before the change to the new policy, so you should not be able to price match MGR, unless there is a magical newegg store local to you.

I never said all CAGS, and why did you edit out all the "details" in your previous post? All I'm saying is that I think its a douche move to keep calling CS hoping to get a uninformed rep who will do a PM that's not in their policy anymore. Don't see why my posts got deleted but whatever, I forgot this place can be SD jr. sometimes.

I don't think this will play into factor. They just look up whom they can price match currently in their system. (Also they have always had the option for 'Other Online Competitor')
 
So I was wondering why my Bioshock purchase hasn't posted on the rewards site yet since everything has been running smooth for me lately. I purchased off the website and had it shipped to me. I checked my BB account this morning and the order still says In Process on bests buys website and not order complete like it should once it ships, even though I got the game already. Has this ever happened to anyone?

My order is "still in process" but the points from the purchase and the 1000 points extra were pending a day or two after it arrived.

Hate to say it, but ALL of you are wrong on at least some part. Here's the breakdown:

Old Policy, Before 3/3 - PM/Post Purchase Adjust as many times as you want to other B&M retailers for either 30/60 days (depending on silver status). PM to certain online retailers at time of purchase only (i.e. Amazon) but no post purchase adjustments.

New Policy, Starting 3/3 - PM any retailer (B&M and Certain Online) at time of purchase but no post purchase adjustments. Post purchase adjustments for BB only for up to 15 days, only one adjustment per transaction.

Anything outside of this is going to be YMMV.

The rep needed to confirm with the manager before proceeding and got the ok from him/her so even though it is ymmv it is pretty wide spread.
 
This MGR thing is getting annoying. I never got my $20 worth of credit and I called on Monday about it and they said it would be resolved within 48 hours and it STILL hasnt.

Man, I really did. I only did one RZ preorder bonus last year.
 
I finally got around to redeeming my Bioshock Infinite preorder code. I just got one in my email, and it was only for the Comstock sniper rifle. Wasn't there supposed to be something else too? I just forget the name, or maybe this code works for both.

Same exact thing here. I picked up the game on release day but when I check my account on Best Buy it still says in process. Also, the normal points for it have already posted. I called yesterday and the rep said that my reward zone number was not attached to the order. he went ahead and did it and less than 24 hours later my 1000 points are pending.

But yeah everything had been running smoothly for me up until Bioshock.

I'm having the same issue. I have 2 orders of Bioshock and both say in process even though they were shipped and received. I can't even click on the order as the site just glitches out. BBY been screwing up tons lately. I just received a sorry email about Dead Island.
 
Has anyone had issues with getting the $20 with very early pre-orders? I pre-ordered Dead Island back in September for the steelbook and I can't even remember if it was on the list for the bonus $20 back then.

It was in the booklet for the promo back in January. Just cancel it and re preorder it to be on the safe side.

I'm thinking I might do that just to be safe. Do you know if I have to bring the steelbook with me when I cancel the old pre-order? I don't know if they'd charge me for it if I didn't have it with me or not.
 
That is actually a good question... The sku has changed since preordering from the steelbook version... I would try explaining to the manager. (Since it is a preorder bonus) I got lucky with my preorder of DIR since the steelbook sku went out of the system back in February. (Still got the steelbook tho)
 
Got my $20 cert for Bioshock already. Wasn't expecting it yet since I only preordered about a week before release.

No, just bring in your receipt. I've done it but I forgot which title it was that had a SB preorder offer prior to DI:Riptide....I did a return/rebuy on the $5 deposit to make sure I qualified for the $20 RZ cert and it worked out fine.

I'll also have to do this as I preordered when the SBs became available....now to find the receipt.....

If you cant find the receipt just print the copy stored on the myrz page. It has the customer pin and everything, with that the BB rep can look the receipt up.

  • Points from your Best Buy purchases will appear approximately 5 days from your date of purchase (or from when a BestBuy.com order is shipped). Points typically become available 20 days after your transaction date.
 
After pending for a couple weeks my $20 RZ certificate and other purchases made that day were finally issued to my account. What's strange is the only option for print is a $45 RZ certificate. Not what I want at all.

I thought certificates were only in $5, $10, or $20 increments. What gives?

$45 is an increment of those....Sadly this is how it works, there is no way to choose the exact amount you are issued if you are given a large # of points quickly.

The only way is to be premiere silver and bank points.
