Too bad the super monkeyball game doesn't fit my flipping requisites.(for me to want to flip something, it has to get me back at least twice what I paid for it)

It would be $10 + tax to send it to deal tree to get $20.

But many are content with 'converting credit' from one place to another. However, I'm like you in that it has to be at least a 2x flip for me to even think about it.:D

I still have my $79 from my trade-ins from the BB/DT thing and I'm impatiently waiting for my LBP GOTY to show up from Gamestop so I know whether or not I gotta go scour the stores around here for a complete copy or not.

fuckin' thing shipped from the West Coast and instead of heading east to my location it headed out to frickin' HAWAII!?!?!?!?!:bomb: And the USPS wonders why the fuck they're losing money?

Apparently, whoever wrote up these postal routes for packages to take didn't follow the old rule that the quickest route between two points is a straight line.

I haven't been as fortunate to find good flips as you all are. I have no problem spending $32.49 cash (that includes tax) to ship 3 copies of monkey ball to amazon (free shipping) for $60 amazon credit. Anytime I can get amazon credit at half off, I am up for it.

I think I will lock in 3 copies at Amazon, and try it. $60 in credit is awesome for $30!

Yeah, exactly. If you look @ this way...if it were more credit for say a Wii, PS3, or 360, then basically paying half for a new system makes it pretty awesome.

If I had the extra cash right now, I might jump on this towards a DS...but then again the 3DS is most likely being released this fall, so I'll wait.

Remember last year when Amazon was running trade promos for $60 or more? Really miss that right now because I made a killing.

I have a feeling those days are gone. It was probably just a way to draw attention towards their new trade-in program. Now that it is going full steam, they probably don't need incentives.

Loooooooooong gone; we made sure of that. ;)

I just figured out that if I get 18 copies of this Wii game(Super Monkey Ball) then I can trade them back to BB/DT and get enough in gift cards to get an iPad after selling my iPod. :D

EDIT: total cost of the games would be $180 + tax to get $360 in gift cards.

The problem is, GameStop no longer guarantees manuals and artwork. DealTree cuts the TIV in half if those aren't included in your quote.
More importantly, Super Monkey Ball Step and Roll is $35 used from GS. Lol not sure how you plan on doubling your money here

So even if we don't have this game in hand, is it a good idea to lock in the trade on Amazon for Monkey Ball for when the time comes that we DO have it in hand?

Because SMB: S&R is $10 after $20 off coupon at Best Buy?;) But that's highly YMMV since it's listed as 'on sale' for $29.99, so this deal may end up with the "Asterisk Of Death" before very many can even partake in it.
I want monkey ball toi play so it seems the coupon doesn't work eh?
Well me and other CAG have reported that it only takes off $20 for one copy of the game so you can only get 1 copy of SMB: S&R for $10 per coupon instead of 3 (I did 2 separate transactions for my 2 copies). It's still YMMV, however, since BB may have fixed that.

Was sick in bed yesterday so missed out on this. The earliest I can try today is after work, so hopefully it's still working until then.

You guys are so crazy..its like "well, no free game, so this $10 is burning a hole in my pocket so bad, that I must get one of the worst Wii games with balance board incorporation to satisfy my CAG thirst!" Hey, I can dig it, but you're doing it wrong..we're supposed to be sending the message that we won't settle for anything less than free games! ;)

and dabamus, that is a crazy plan with so much legwork involved that it doesn't seem worth it..but good luck if you do that (and remember iPad gen2 will likely have a webcam and USB port (god it really needs a USB port))

Funny, but it wasnt long ago that I would have thought spending $30 to get $60 in amazon credit was a good deal. But with all these deals (free games and such) that we have had the last 6 months, I now have more credit and a bigger backlog than I know what to do with. I really need to stay off of CAG for a few months, but its an addiction I need to feed. I say to mysefl...Bored at work? Lets see what CAG is doing today... So sad...
(and remember iPad gen2 will likely have a webcam and USB port (god it really needs a USB port))
OT - I'd be happy with an SD card slot.

I'm going to grab one of these for my kids to actually play. My son loves SMB, and at least we'll get some additional use out of the balance board.
I thought Just Cause 2 had a price drop to $40....so I was looking forward to this...oh well, I'll pass now.
You have to print out the RewardZone coupon in order to get JC2 for $40.

I thought Super Monkey Ball was $30 normally. That is how it is listed on the website.

I was under the impression that this was not taking advantage of the system, and was legit.

Still works! I stopped in over lunch. The tag on the shelf said "on sale for $29.99 regularly $49.99" but the coupon still worked fine with no override needed. I only tried one though so don't get greedy. Lock in those TIVs while you can.

ugh! you guys are killing me, I may have to take back what I said earlier, only for the fact that this might be playable for my 4 year old and I'd love to see him flail around on the balance board..if it's really valued at $50 still, seems like an OK deal, at first I figured $30 was a perm. price drop..

I can't find the link to the $20 off coupon in the "Special Offers - See All" area in the Gamers Club section. In fact, there are no coupon links in that page.

I got one copy of Monkey Ball for $10! Two to go! (I am doing single transactions to not be flagged or greedy. If they get sold out by the time I return, so be it)

If I had gotten my GC from the first trades, this would be a no brainer. Especially since they are quicker with the trades now. I'd only have to wait a couple of weeks to upgrade from a 32" to a 40" Flat Screen :) They say they're going to ship my card this week. We'll see.

I also preordered Alan Wake today because the packaging said I get 500 bonus points with preorder. I will swap the preorder for another game eventually.

I had the same problem... I tried and tried and could not find the link...

The solution is simple... you need to disable AdBlock.

thanks ^^

FYI: They will not give you the points simply for pre-ordering. They expect you to buy and keep the game. The points will not be given until the return period is over. Otherwise, there would be threads on how to get free money from Best Buy.

The preoder box specifically says "500 bonus points (A $10 value!) for reward zone gamers club members only with the pre-order of Alan Wake."

I understand what you are saying, but it does not say that.

Sometimes they say with preorder and purchase, but this one did not.

Except for the fact that several people on this board already pre-ordered when the offer went live a while back and confirmed that the 500 bonus points don't accrue or credit to your account until you make the purchase. "Preorder" means just that, a preorder with the intention of buying the game. Otherwise, it would say 500 bonus points with a deposit of $5 which is fully refundable which Best Buy has never done and never will for obvious fraud prevention reasons.

Stupid Best Buy! How dare they assume their customers have common sense.

No issue with Super Monkey Ball S&R - picked up 1 copy earlier today for $10.

For the first time ever, the salesperson actually read the coupon. Scanned it in anyway and she just told me that it seems like that shouldn't have worked and that I was getting a really good deal.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone. I printed the $5 and $10 coupon today, but I noticed when I tried printing them that they came up with the wrong games listed. At first, I didn't realize it and printed one, but the second coupon I noticed it on. For me, I was clicking on the lower coupon link and it was bringing up the coupon for the first half of the month.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case it is happening to others, wouldn't want you to go and have the wrong coupon.
You have to print out the RewardZone coupon in order to get JC2 for $40.
I realize that....I thought JC2 dropped to $40 recently, thus it would've been $20 AC....but my thoughts on a price drop were wrong.

On a totally unrelated note, while in BB earlier to pick up a copy of Super Money Ball ($10 after coupon), I saw Darksiders for $39.99. It said new price and not sale price, so I'm hoping BB gives us a $20 coupon next month for Darksiders!

Picked up three Monkey Balls (erotically) and flipped them to Amazon. $28 profit isn't bad for half an hour of effort.

I just picked Super Monkey Ball... no problems at all...

Yes, and the results are: Trade In Value... I will get $6 for each game at Gamestop...
