Big Brother 8 - Who's in?

I cracked up that they said the main rift between dick and danielle was that he lent her some money and when it came time to pay up, she didnt have it and he apparently flipped the fuck out so she's been holding a grudge against him ever since.

I wont call her a snub being that I dont know all the details of what exactly went down between her and dick.

I absolutely cannot stand that chick who was rivals with Carol (Jessica?). Her parents should be mortified at how she turned out. It's embarassing. I also can't wait until Amber gets the boot - the fact that she is retarded enough to actually pray to god to keep her in the house is funny enough but EVERY time she is on camera she is either crying or just finished crying. Stop being such a pussy.

I hate this show.

Once the CBS show has aired I say no spoiler tags needed for stuff that happened during the CBS show. Stuff that is revealed during Showtime's after hours or from people watching the live feed, that should be spoilered. My 2 cents.

I was hoping Carol would stay but oh well. Would have been fun to see Jessica's jaw drop. Carol was doing the fake smile thing before, during, and after the vote announcement which annoys me, but I guess it was basically her way of putting on a brave face. You could tell she was pissed and upset about having to leave the house. I did laugh when she was in the confessional and said "I've given up so much to be in this house!" Like what, your summer vacation between Junior and Senior year of college?

I figure Jen might target Dick after he really laid into her a show ago.
I figure Jen might target Dick after he really laid into her a show ago.
And Danielle since she's prettier.
I hate this show.
But you know you're gonna watch every episode.;)

I think it's funny how Jen barges into Kail's room wearing only a towel, and the 2 other guys get up and leave immediately. Kail should've told her to gtfo of her bed after she sat down. And did I hear her confess to Amber that she voted to evict her (the only vote she received)? What a dumb-ass.

Sad to see Carol go. I wanted her and Jessica to get into some shit on a future episode.

Yeah I was cracking up when Jen walked in wearing just the towel as well. Her mike was clipped to the towel which to me just made it seem all the more premeditated and silly.
And Danielle since she's prettier.
Excellent point. (Plus she 'stole' Nick away! )

I love how Julie was putting the house guests on the spot during the eviction ceremony. Jen, once again, looked like an idiot when she tried to answer. I wasn't sure how Joe and Dustin were going to answer.

jennv9.jpg

How does Jen know Will and Mike? Are they from the same town, or did she just meet them at their bar?

Its a good thing Kail didnt give Jen sh*t for comming into the HOH room cause that would have been her ass.

I see Dick and Danielle being put up for eviction.

Dick for going off and Danielle for being the "pretty competition".
As much as I can't stand Jen, I'd prefer she stays awhile for the eye candy factor alone:

Indeed.

I like eye candy and all as well as the next hetero male, but theres gotta be some evil game play to go along with it to keep me interested.

ShowTOO spoilers:

Due to the P.O.V. competition, Amber had to be handcufed to Kail for 24hrs, Jen has to wear a red unitard for one whole week. Amber and Zach won a date night. Jen talked to Dick and supposedly wants to keep him in the house and backdoor someone else. Nick revealed to Jen, that he's part of the "Mrs. Robinson" alliance with Kail, Zach, and Mike. Jameka has a feeling that Dustin is being recruited into the "Mrs. Robinson" alliance. Not sure who's won the power of veto yet..seems like everyday they are doing different competitions...or something

I also noticed that some people that have to be on "BB Slop" have been eating watermelon...is it ok for them to eat fruit but not dinner food?

That seems like a lot of stuff that isn't getting shown. I'm pissed that either Daniele or Dick is (probably) going to leave. They are at least interesting and Daniele was totally right about Jen's whole "negative energy" speech - she just doesn't like the fact that Nick wants to bang Daniele more.

Dick was dumb for not at least trying to work her. Would have been worth a shot to try to get her to put up Nick instead of him.

The only angle I could see Jen possibly playing is being so hated that other people will want to keep her around for the end so they can beat her in the final vote. But she's playing it 100% straight even in the confessionals so I tend to think she just really is the way she seems. You never really know as they show you what they want you to see.

The America's Challenges are all kind of lame, but Eric is making them interesting by really going for the gusto. This last one (who should Eric crawl into bed with) is pretty dumb. I'm guessing the vote will go for Joe, but who knows.

Joe said something along the lines of "This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me!" and I immediately yelled out, "Worse than gonorrhea!?" I think he was talking about Jen winning HOH, but it could have been about being on slop. As for people on slop eating watermelon, I didn't think that would be allowed LP, who knows?

About that HOH competition tie breaker... Don't you think that tea cup has drain holes in the bottom so it doesn't fill up with rain water? If they are counting the door into the equation shouldn't they also count the drain holes and then the answer would be < 1 gallon? Lame question.

Glad to see I'm not the ONLY hetrosexual guy here watching this gay show.
I started watching it at season 3 with my wife, and don't knwo why but I love it. Hell, I swapped Starz for Showtime for the live feed. My wife loves it and she's only saving it on the DVR in our bedroom if there any naked lady parts . I haven't been woken up yet...sadly and well dissapointed by the feed so far not only because of that but because the CBS shows are all (except for Thursday live show) Sunday, Tuesday's show's have no timeline with them and you have no clue whats going on with the nightly live feeds, and sometimes find out thigns before the CBS show. Like I knew who was nominated before they announced it last week.
That seems like a lot of stuff that isn't getting shown...
Well the spoilers were from last nights episode, which occured after the nomination episodes. The nominations actually occured on Saturday though.

More ShowTOO spoilers

It seems that Danielle is off the chopping block, not sure who won the veto or who used it but she is off. The plan is to backdoor (no pun intended) Joe. Joe is up he's been freaking out, he's asking Dustin for support and he pretty much told him why he betrayed him...etc. Nick revealed his "Mrs. Robinson alliance to Jameka, Amber, and Danielle, he made it seem like his alliance to those 3 girls is his alliance, and he's staying with Mrs. Robinson just to get info on the other side. Kail seems closer to Dustin so he may be part of the Mrs. Robinson alliance, or they may have a secret alliance.

My wife told me that
Daniele won the POV so that's why she is off the block and pretty much told me exactly what you posted.
She's watching it every night while she feeds the baby.

Wtf is with Amber?

Also, I thought the Showtime shows were live from like 1-3AM? they do challenges between 1 and 3 AM?

Spoilered in case people not on the east coast haven't seen tonight's epi yet. (So if you've seen tonight's show there is nothing to worry about here.)

Screw it, if you haven't seen tonight's epi you should have enough sense not to open this thread.

I can't believe Amber didn't steal the plasma. :dunce:

Also would have been more fun to see Dick chained to somebody for the day. Whatever.

Strong episode though. Lots of people are getting pissy with lots of other people pretty early on. I have a feeling Jen won't last very long after this week but she is fun to watch.
I can't believe Amber didn't steal the plasma. :dunce:

Me either.

I used all my votes online for Joe. I really like Dick (that's a nice statement) and hate Joe, so it's a no brainer for me.

Voting for who Eric should vote for reminds me of BB1 when houseguests were evicted by the viewers, not the houseguests.

IIRC The question was phrased

"Who should Eric try to get evicted." and not simply "Who should Eric vote for."

So I'm wondering if they aren't going to tell Eric his choice a bit before the vote and instruct him to do some campaigning.

Amber is such a fucking emo wreck....she cries over everything...

Jen got smart and realized she'd piss everyone off if she hadnt put up Joe.

It was too late for Jen the moment she wailed over her photo. No one likes her.
It was too late for Jen the moment she wailed over her photo. No one likes her.
I don't use the "c" word lightly, but that's what Jen downright is.

That unitard though...yeah, uhm...I kinda liked that.
Amber is a goddamn mess.
On her date with Mike, she revealed that she was a meth addict for over a year and supposedly stopped and went cold turkey, yet all her friends around her still do it. My guess is that she needs her fix thats why she's constantly crying.

I thought it was really funny when Jen got annoyed when everyone was trying to get her to put up Joe, walks away into the room with Nick and Danielle, as soon as she notices that they are ignoring her, walks back up and says "I'm putting Nick up"...then she ends up putting Joe. She knows that putting up Nick will just end up getting rid of Dick and then Nick and the Mrs. Robinson alliance will be after her ass, so thats why she changed her mind.

Uh, who was picked to go on the date thing hadn't been shown yet I don't think. Not a big deal - actually I don't really care about that at all, but that should probably be spoilered.

I'm not sure that putting Joe up was the greatest move because now whoever stays out of those two wants to see her gone seemingly above anything. Not too sure who would have been a better choice.

I don't know if they just aren't showing it (probably) but no one really sees to have an alliance (of more than 2 solid people) besides the 4 with Kale and of course now it seems like Nick isn't truly committed to it.

When Jen was making her threats before the veto comp Joe said something along the lines that she didn't have anything to hold over him because he didn't have any people in the house. Kind of seems like bs, but then they haven't shown him colluding with an alliance (and it didn't seem like anybody really tried to convince her not to put him up besides Eric who was on America's mission  ) so who knows.

Doesn't she have a small child to take care of? I have no sympathy for someone that irresponsible.
Doesn't she have a small child to take care of? I have no sympathy for someone that irresponsible.
Her excuse was that she was working 16hours a day, 7 days a week, to help pay medical bills for her sick puppy, a friend of hers introduced her to it and she was able to work harder and make more money...she said she stopped when she had a Dr.'s appt and her "babys daddy" told her to fill out the questionaire as it should and inform the Dr. that she's on meth. She didn't but when she was in the room with the Dr. she caved and supposedly he said, "wow...I thought you would have said marijuana...meth is so bad, if you need to get high, get high on your daughter..." and from that moment on, she went cold turkey.

Wubb, sorry for not putting a spoiler on the date thing...

ShowTOO spoilers for 7/19:

Jen and Eric seem to have an alliance together, they were in the HOH room and Jen was drunk and was spilling a lot of info, appearently her and Nick did make out and did "other stuff" and they have a secret alliance, the are pretending to hate each other to keep their alliance secret. She revealed that Nick told her about the Mrs. Robinson alliance, her reasoning for mentioning to put up Nick in the HOH room, was to confirm the Mrs. Robinson alliance. When she saw their reaction, she knew for sure what was going on. As of last night, it seems that Kail is doing her best to kick Dick out of the house, she doesn't have enough votes and she sure did try to convince Eric to vote for Dick to leave, but Eric wouldn't budge in telling her who he's voting for, he said that there's still 2 days left and he wants to hear them out before he decides, he called her on why she needs to know who he's voting for, and as polite as she could, reading between the lines, she said do this and you have our support, don't do it and...well you know.

So it seems that Jen is playing the dumb bitch card and is actually pretty smart and has a strategy in place.

Nice episode tonight, loved how Kail fucked her self by trying to save Joe and Dick is the fucking HOH, this week is going to be damn interesting!

I really liked Kail, but her goose is scorched come nominations.

Kail is not playing smart. Looks like her alliance either completely cut her loose or at least distanced themselves from her this week by not voting with her. Sometimes you need to know when it's a lost cause and just roll with it.

Seems likely that Dick will put up Jen and Kail. I figure America will vote for Eric to try to get Danielle nominated. There's 0 chance Dick will do that so it will be funny to see Eric try. At least that's how I'd vote, pick the most awkward option.

Read a thing in EW and (mild spoiler about Eric)
Eric is getting extra money for each challenge he completes. I don't think that's been mentioned on the show or at least I didn't know about that.

Yeah, I think they mentioned that in the very first episode.
Yeah, I think they mentioned that in the very first episode.
Ah okay. Now that you mention that it does sound right. Did they say how much?

ShowTOO spoilers ahead...nothing too interesting

Somehow dick got BB to order in food for everyone, including the slop eaters...They got pizza, pasta, salad, drinks. Everyone was at the dinner table and Kail and Mike were not talking at all...they looked scared.

Kail had a talk with Danielle and then Dick asking him that if he puts her up, not to make it personall and say nasty things to her. Kail kept talking to Mike to get his advice, he seemed like he didn't want to talk to her at first, like he was unsure if he should continue his alliance. Kail told Mike that she was going to talk to Amber and Dusting to get their "advice" on their betrayel from the other 2 members. She starts with saying that her and Mike are in an alliance with 2 other people, she doesn't consider Jen her alliance, just her best friend of the house, she goes on to say, that it would have been 4 votes to get dick out, they needed to convice Eric, Jameka, and/or Jessica to get 5 or more to get dick out, but ther other 2 members didn't want to fight to get Dick out.

Anyways...she goes on and on asking both Dustin and Amber together...then she gets Dustin alone and then Amber alone...her whole concept is to have them tell Dick that there are 2 betrayers on his side right now...she wants them to be shunned.

Found it on wiki and it's also on CBS's site:

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother8/americas_player/

For every 5 challenges he completes he gets $10K. Not bad. I do think this was mentioned on the CBS show so no spoiler needed. I just forgot!

He's been lucky so far in that America has had him vote along with what ended up being the large majority of the house guests. He hasn't had to explain a vote against the herd yet (or maybe more likely feign shock and ignorance as to where the odd vote came from.)

FYI: For fans of Dr. Will

Jen's attitude about being nominated definitely reminded me of Will. Remember in BB all stars when every week he would walk around saying "I love to be up on the block. Please put me up!"

My feeling is that Kail is in trouble unless the veto changes things up, but you never can tell for sure.

Wow. It's amazing what good lighting and some makeup will do. She is a pretty girl on the show but totally someone you could get a date with or something (personality notwithstanding - you couldn't pay me to spend 5 minutes with her). On her website she looks smoking hot and someone WAY WAY out of most people's league.
