Big Brother 8 - Who's in?

Just reading a bit on wiki's BB8 page.

Nick was once crowned MTV's King of Spring Break. (I assume he won one of the goofy competitions they used to do during spring break week.) He also was a pro footballer for some European team in Finland. I knew it couldn't have been the NFL or he'd have too much money socked away to be back living with his parents just a few years out of the league.
(personality notwithstanding - you couldn't pay me to spend 5 minutes with her).
Therein lies the rub.

Okay dammit. I'm gonna post some Jen love. The first week I absolutely hated her after she cried about her photo. But she's really grown on me. She's the prettiest girl in the house by far - Danielle needs to eat a fucking sammich because she looks like Skeletor. I haven't been watching the feeds, but Jen always looks upbeat and cheerful on TV. I love how she just smiled when Dick was yelling at her last week. He's just a big bully and she totally flummoxed him by not breaking down under his abuse. And I salute her inJENuity with the unitard outfits.

I am enjoying this season mostly because I keep shifting favorites. I can go from hating Jen or Dick or Jessica to cheering them on easily (okay, not so much Jessica but she can be funny).

I will miss Joe's campy goodness. And that himbo Nick needs to go. He's just a big bag o' stupid.

Great episode last night...I love how when Dick was telling everyone why he nomiated Kail, because of her lies and distrust, she shook her head, then Dick said, I dont care if you shake your head you're stll being nominated.

ShowToo Spoilers
Jen won the power of veto. Dick had it set that he was going to put Mike up and backdoor him. Last night, Dick got into it with Nick, Danielle, Amber, and pretty much fucked up and everyone hates him and wants him out. Here's the story:

Nick asked if he could go to the HOH room to listen to music for about an hour, he said he needed to be alone, Dick gives him the key. Dustin shows up a few minutes later and Nick tells Dustin about his dilema with Daniele, he says that he's really liking her alot and he knows that it can't go nowhere, he's just sad that he can't do anything about the feelings he has for her. Then Zach and Jen go upstairs, Dustin leaves the room, Nick puts his headphones back on and listens to music, Zach stares at the monitor, Jen stares blankly into space, Nick finally asks if they could leave because he needs some time alone...as they are walking out Dick is on his way up, he immediately assumes that they are "scheming", he tells Nick to get the fuck out of the room, he doesn't trust him anymore, then he yells out to everyone that he doesn't want anyone up on his room again...he goes downstairs to do dishes, Amber is doing dishes, he starts throwing plates and cups all over the place, Amber freaks out and cries....duh......Daniele asks to talk to him, they go upstairs he tells her that she can't trust Nick, he then questions her as to why she didn't tell him about the Mrs. Robinson alliance...she said he didn't need to know, he tells her that he's been looking out for her and she's just being selfish, she treats him like shit, everyone sees it...they almost start getting into why they haven't been talking for the past few years and Daniele says that she doesn't want to talk about it she leaves crying..goes to Nick outside in the hammock, Nick explains that he has strong feelings for her and he doesn't know what to do, he understands that she has a boyfriend and its a dead end for him but he can't help it. He tells her about the fight he had with Dick, she tells him about the fight she had with Dick. Dick pulls Amber aside to apologize and she starts cyring, he tells her to get a hold of herself, if not for him, for her daughter, to be strong, she says that's who she is, who she's always been and she can't stop being emotional. Dick apologizes about his outburst she says she accepts his apology and that they are fine, she goes out, finds Daniele and tells her everyting that just happened, Daniele tells her everything as well, including when Daniele went upstairs to calm Dick down and she said "you made Amber cry" then he said "anyone can make Amber cry, someone drops a pin and she fucking cries"...everyone starts secretly talking about what's going on behind Dick's back. Dick goes one by one to his alliance and tries to apologize, everyone says its fine, but as he leaves, they all talk shit behind his back. Jen, Kail, and Mike realize that everyone hates Dick and that Nick is the new Joe and if Dick puts Nick up, they may get a chance to backdoor him and stay in the game.

Also on an interesting note: Amber has colonitis and this is why she's been walking weird, appearently she couldn't shit for a while, then she started shitting like crazy, everyone made fun of her behind her back, and they call her stinky, she had Jessicas underware on at some point and everyone was saying that when she gets them back they are going to have brown streaks...

fuck. I wish CBS would show this shit.

Who all voted in the America's Player this week?
I voted for Jameka. I hope she wins, because I can't wait to see her flip-out when Eric messes with her stuff.

They should briefly show it on Tue. Also because of what happened between
Dick and Nick
they got their beer taken away for the entire house for the night.

I voted for Zach, he has a short fuse, I want to see him get angry at Eric.

You're talking about for the vandalize somebody's property vote right? My vote would have been Jemakah because she seems like she'd get the most upset. But really anyone would get pretty POed. Dumbest challenge yet IMO, and there have been quite a few dumb ones already. Actually pretty much every one has been dumb...

My guess is Eric will be creative and have some fun with it.

Is everyone getting fall-down drunk now that they have beer?
The last thing they should ever do is take away the alcohol. That provides all the fun. I say give 'em tequila.
And Ecstasy...

Seems like it...One night they all got wasted and started daring Dick to streak naked from the house to the pool, he said he would if his daughter wasn't there, then they asked Zach, and he did it. It was gross. The next night Jameka was making fun of him, she said that she's changed a lot of 4 year old's diapers and she's seen bigger penises than Zach's...it was pretty funny.

My wife woke me up in the middle of the night to show me Zach running around naked. It was pretty funny.

ShowTOO spoilers:

Jen used the POV on herself, Dick put up Mike and the house is still making Kail think that she's leaving but infact they are planning to backdoor Mike. Dick and Daniele had a heart to heart conversation about their issues, it was pretty sad, you can tell that Dick is trying really hard and Daniele is a total selfish bitch...granted I don't know exactly what happened to begin with but she's still fucked up. That was it for last night...

The will be airing the POV competition and ceremony today, Thursday is eviction day and HOH competition.

Mike is so confident that Kail will be the one to go he decided to show that he'd be a loyal ally to the end and got himself put up next to her. Interesting strategy. Might also make him an easy person to put up next week though. And OTOH sometimes the person who goes up thinking there is little chance they'll go home does end up leaving - remember Marcellas back in S3  . But it does seem like Kail will be the one this week.

Dick is being a dick now. He'd better watch his ass.

Eric's task was fucking weak. He could have done so much more damage. I knew
Jen wouldn't really give a shit about the mustard. The wrong house guest was chosen for this assignment.

There really aren't any alliances now, are there? Except for maybe Dick and Daniele.
Dick is being a dick now. He'd better watch his ass.

Yeah Dick might be digging himself a hole.

I figure there have to be more alliances than they are showing but then I don't know why they wouldn't be showing it. Nick thinks he's in with Dick and Danielle I'd imagine. Danielle and Dick do seem to have a decent alliance going as she tries to tip him off to things. Amber and Dustin are pretty close right? They also seemed to be buddying up to Kail and her crew but now that one is completely blown away of course. Amber definitely thought she had (or was trying to get) a thing with Kail anyway.

Jen, Jessica, Jemaka, and Eric I'm not too sure what they have going on as far as alliances. Jen seems to be playing the game to have everyone annoyed with her, but not see her as a serious threat, and maybe be kept on as someone to have in the final 2. Jessica, isn't seen as a threat and is maybe figuring she can slide under the radar. Jemaka is definitely playing the 'keep under the radar' game but I also thinks she's kind of buddying up with Amber and Dustin? Eric seems like he's just trying to be likable and let other people cause the waves and get targeted.

I'm sort of surprised they haven't shown Eric trying to form up any sort of alliance. Maybe he's worried he'd have to vote against it based on America's vote so he's better off waiting a bit...

Don't believe I'm actually posting to this thread...I'm a longtime watcher of BB (from the very beginning).

In any case, the thing that annoys me the most about Jen is how overly calculated and self-conscious her actions are. She is always looking for the camera. At her nomination ceremony when she was HOH, she glanced at one of the cameras at least three times while giving her garbled speech. There are so many other times she does this as well. What annoys me about it is that it's like she's trying to not let everyone know she's looking at the cameras....ugh, what a dipshit!

Yeah, I think Dustin and Amber were (are) a pair. Nick's former alliance seems to hve dissolved, so I think he'll be looking to get in with Dick/Daniele (if he isn't already).

Good episode last night...loved the POV competition, Mike made an ass of himself and he will most likely get the boot this week. After watching ShowTOO since day one, I've noticed how much stuff they leave out since they only have less then an hour to cram everything in.

ShowTOO spoilers:
I may have forgot to mention a frew threads back that everyone hates Zach...for some reason, they all want him out next week. Dustin said he's going to try real hard to get HOH and put up pawns and then backdoor him, the problem is that no one wants to go up as a pawn so he's thinking of putting up Jen and Kail if he gets HOH....
Dick is doing his best to get in good with the houseguests, they seemed to have stopped talking about the big argument that happened over Nick, Jen, and Zach being in the HOH room. Dick is trying really hard by hanging out with everyone, last night they got their beer back (was gone for 24hrs) and Jessica, Mike, and Zach started playing quarters...then Dick, and Eric joined them...Jessica and Eric got wasted...Kail and Mike have not campaigned to anyone to get out but they are always around watching everyone...Kail was at the table watching Mike play quarters for over an hour not saying a word. Her spirit is really broken as she sure she's gone this week. What she doesn't know is that everyone is secretly plotting to kick Mike out this Thursday, but they still want everyone to keep Kail thinking that its her that's leaving.

Also on ShowTOO, Nick, Dustin, Amber, and Jameka were talking about how much they hate Jen and how its freaky when she rolls her eyes, her right eye moves in a different direction than her left and her right eyelid flutters...they say its really weird and annoying...they also call her a transvestite, she walks like a man, has a face like a man, and Dustin is sure that she can pull it off as a transvestite. I have to agree with them...the more and more I see her on camera, she walks as if she's packing nuts and a johnson.

Love them mind games!

Is Eric gay now, too? Julie asked him about "showmances", and he suggested if he were to start one, it could possibly be with either a male or female.:whistle2:k

Who did you all vote for in the America's Player task?

Does anybody else think that Zach looks like Butt-head?

Now that you mention it, yes.

I don't know many totally straight guys with pierced nipples... but that's just me.

It is weird how there aren't any really tight alliances - if I had to guess I'd say Dustin and Amber are together, Nick and Daniele, Dick and Daniele (but not Nick and Dick) and that's about it.

I know! Jameka and Jessica are totally flying under the radar. They gots to go!

Mike's strategy didn't work too well for him. I don't know if Kail is going to be able to form a tight alliance. I mean she encouraged her last loyal buddy to screw himself by cheesing Dick off to the point where he threw the veto comp and put Mike up. But things can really change week to week.

Kind of seems like everyone but Jen, Nick, Zach, and Kail are in one big alliance for the moment. I think it splinters down to Dustin - Amber and Dick - Daniele being the tightest twosomes within that group. Had to feel bad for Daniele's boyfriend in his piece last night. Of course if Dustin puts up somebody other than the 4 I figure are on the outside then my impression is way off.

That HOH competition really screwed Zach and Kail.
Had to feel bad for Daniele's boyfriend in his piece last night.
Dude, I would be fuming if Daniele were my lady.
She was totally making out with Nick in that one scene. "I've wanted to kiss you all day."

Plus, Dick was right when he said that her boyfriend was in the minor league or whatever he said. Nick could kick his ass. When I first saw him I was like how the hell did he get Daniele?

That was harsh.

Maybe he's slinging 14".

That picture of her in the black bikini was nice.
Did anyone else get the sense that Eric totally
threw the HOH competition
?
No, I think he just got over-confident and buzzed in too early.

I thought he threw it. I think he was maybe a little too obvious about it. Especially with that smirk. Pretty smart play. He eliminated everyone he didn't want to be HOH then he bowed out so he doesn't get that target you can get after being HOH. That's how I saw it anyway.

Interesting point. I wonder if he'd admit to it if Julie asked him?

I figure he's even more hesitant about becoming HOH than a normal contestant because he's worried America will get to pick one (or maybe even both) of his nominees for him and that could really screw him over.

So far he looks like a very smart player to me.

Does he have to do what America says? Couldn't he just ignore something and have it not count as a completed task? If he has to follow America eventually it will cause his elimination from the game.
Does he have to do what America says? Couldn't he just ignore something and have it not count as a completed task? If he has to follow America eventually it will cause his elimination from the game.
I think he has to vote however America says. Julie doesn't have him say his vote to make it official, they just BS for a few seconds to make it seem like he's voting. Beyond that I don't know, but that leads me to think he'd be forced to nominate whoever America voted for if that was indeed the question to vote on.

As for the other tasks he could obviously half ass it and not have it be completed even if he is forced to make an attempt. Not sure if he could just say, "Hey I never saw my spot to do that one, sorry America!"

He has to complete 5 tasks for $10,000, right? Beyond that he could tell America to fuck themselves. There's going to be a "conflict of interest" for him eventually, I would think. Unless CBS gives him tasks that won't affect him directly.

No Eric is smarter than he makes it out to seem, just look at he he almost had the house flip their vote and kick Kail out instead of Mike.

Also another tight alliance that for some reason they haven't showed is Eric and Jessica. On ShowTOO they are always together.

It seems to be already stirring things up - notice when Mike left and Dick started to call Jen out on voting to kick Kail out of the House, even though it was Eric and Zach.

They showed some hints at the Jessica - Eric alliance in last night's epi.
It seems to be already stirring things up - notice when Mike left and Dick started to call Jen out on voting to kick Kail out of the House, even though it was Eric and Zach.
And as we saw in last night's episode it kept stirring things up. Once it gets to a smaller number Eric might have trouble pointing the finger elsewhere, but like he said nobody seemed to suspect he was the off vote at all. He even used it to convince Dustin to put up Jen (fulfilling his challenge.) I actually like this next one where he is to get a catch phrase going in the house. I'm hoping it's 'sweet chicken!'

Kind of looks like they are going to pick off Zach, Kail, Nick, and Jen in the next weeks. But as always things can quickly change.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I really hope they don't get rid of Jen this week. She has actually become tolerable now that she has settled into the house - same thing with Jessica who I wanted to punch in the face the first week but now seems OK (her annoying nasally voice notwithstanding).

Eric is a really good player - he seems to have made friends with everyone and it's amazing that his name didn't come up when people were searching for the other Kail vote. It's also funny when Jen said "maybe it's the same person" referencing the mystery voter and the mustard vandal.

Agreed on almost everything. While I don't think she's tolerable, and I don't want Jen to win necessarily, I do want her to, at the very least, make it to the point where, when evicted, she'll end up at that house where they keep members of the jury. Get the boring people out, I say.

And Eric is pretty damn good at this game. It's a shame since the America's Player thing is probably ruining any ability he has to play the way he wants to. And in a related note, I was pretty surprised to see that no one suspecting Eric of throwing the last HOH.

Jessica is looking hotter and hotter every day, I used hate her but once Carol left, she became a nice person.

BTW: I voted for "Sweet Chicken"

Nothing too much going on on BB After Dark...
Amber and Jameka seemed to have joined the Jen and Kail alliance, Amber got mad at Dustin for winning a trip and some money during a veto comp. which she saw him as being selfish as well as some of the other houseguests. It seems that Jameka won the POV and is planning to use it on Kail. Her thing is that whoever picks her ball out of the bag, means that she's "mean to play for that person", so she does her best to win and then do whatever that person wants to do with the veto if she wins it.

Ugh.
That's just great - one totally boring person (Jameka) is going to save another totally boring person (Kail) and Jen will likely go home unless Zach is the replacement nominee.

I also forgot to mention...Jessica wore the red unitard last night, she had boxers on top though. She had to wear it for the night since she lost to a drinking contest between her and Eric.
