8/6/2007 10:05:47 AM

Jones will make his first in-ring appearance on Thursday, August 9, on iMPACT!, which airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV. As for Pacman...christ almighty. What a blunder in the making.

Finally. Someone who's actually been somewhere is making a wreslting school instead of a bunch of nobodies teaching newer wrestlers how to be nobodies.

Of all of the teams in wrestling I'd like to see start a wrestling school, The Dudleys would not be one of them. Learning the finer points of "getting the tables" and "eating" does not make you a better wrestler. Sounds like the equivalent of attending the Randy Orton Wrestling Academy to learn how to put together a match.

"Class, today we'll learn the most important part of a wrestling match - the rest hold. I'll show you my personal favorite, the headlock, which is fantastic for helping wear down opponents and showing off your sweet tribal tattoos."

Strike Force? Definitely. Team 3D? I'll pass.

:D

"Now class, when smashing up a hotel room, the thing to remember is start with the fittings that will make the minimum of noise when broken, that way it will take the Hotel staff longer to realise there's a problem."

Well, judging from the stories, we'll be seeing 1 of 2 things tonight.

1) The brands & rosters will merge

or

2) They will continue the "McMahon survived a exploding limo" storyline. Then Mr. Kennedy will be added to that storyline.

Test comments on his TNA debut:

"So I guess by now the cats out of the bag and as many of you know, I took my ball to TNA. I never wanted to decieve any of you, trust me I was excited about going but it was something that we tried to make a secret. You have to admit in this day and age that's hard to do, I mean you guys usually know before I do what's going on. It's not that I want to keep secrets from my fans but don't you guys just miss the old way of a good old fashioned surprise in wrestling? Remember when a WWF guy would show up on WCW and vice versa, it made the show always more exciting no matter what or who it was. Remember seeing Lex luger on Raw and Nitro, the same night?...that was a great surprise. I have to thank all you guys...i have never recieved so many positive messages and reactions from you guys about my decision to join TNA and I want to thankyou for that. I also want to make the fans that were at the Impact Zone in Orlando for the greatest reaction I can ever remember getting in wrestling. Most of all I want to thank everyone at TNA for making me realize why I wanted to be a wrestler in the first place!! Something that had been beaten out out of me by years of politics, ass kissing, back stabbing, empty promises that never came, having to liten to "Vinces YES men" because everyone there doesn't want to rock the boat...Thankyou for making me realize that I wanted to be a wrestler because it'....FUN!! and I had forgotten how much fun you can have. I know TNA stands for Total nonstop Action but I learned last night it also stands for Totally NO Assholes!! I want to thank everyone for making me feel right at home right away and seeing first hand what a wrestling company really should be. I'm not here to bash any other companies...I have no regrets but in just one night at TNA I felt more comfortable than I did anywhere else. Everyone is so hands on and so positive. I mean I loved watching the guys watch the matches hoping that everyone had a great match, I'm so used to guys watching the monitor, cutting up the matches only to tell the guys when they got to the back "great match"...I'll be honest I didn't sleep much Sunday night. I was excited, nervous and wasn't sure what to expect but that all changed last night when all the TNA fans gave me without question one of the greatest moments of my career with your huge roar,my ears were ringing and inside I had a smile a mile long...thankyou because to be honest I was ready to walk away from wrestling and it would have been a shame because I would never have gotten to experience what a great group there is at TNA. So please tune in to watch TNA every thursday night at 9pm eastern time on spike tv and see what a great company with a group of guys and girls with all heart can accomplish...I know I had a blast!"

TNA = TOTALLY NO ASSHOLES.

Rosey is a 'nati native (Ugh. Milford? REALLY?) who is going to be on a fat camp reality TV show in the fall. A somewhat interesting read; he's trying to drop weight to get rehired by WWE.

It was revealed on Observer Live last night that Konnan's body is seriously rejecting the kidney he was given, and that he'll now be on 10 days of isolated, heavy medication treatment in order to get it to take, or they'll probably have to remove the kidney, and he'll have to start the process all over again. Horrible news, but hopefully this next round of medication works, because I don't have high hopes for his health (either long or short-term) without a new kidney.

It was also revealed that ROH will have a show in the Cow Palace, alongside a wrestling reunion show with panel discussion, Q&As, and autographs from Goldberg, Angle, Austin, and other big names whose names I'm forgetting. They've gotta have one hell of a money mark to pull this off.

TNA officially announced the signing of Pacman Jones today. In another sign of their infinite wisdom, he'll be debuting on the free show they made no money on instead of on PPV, their primary source of income.

Uh oh... I thought Jeff was given the night off for injuries, guess he's back on the dope:

From JR's blog:

- It saddens and greatly disappoints me that Jeff Hardy will be absent from the WWE for the next month or so. Nonetheless, I am happy that Jeff isn’t suffering from a serious injury as has plagued so many wrestlers recently. The WWE could have certainly utilized Jeff’s services during these challenging times and no one can dispute the fact that Jeff’s individual popularity wasn’t building toward an all time high if it wasn’t already there. Everyone is human and as the old saying goes “to err is human” but the timing of these unfortunate circumstances are extremely untimely. The “good news” if one chooses to look for some positive in this situation is that Jeff will be back in time, as I understand it, and he will have an opportunity to still make a big impact in the WWE and then move continuously in a positive direction in his career and finally live his dream of becoming the superstar he was meant to be.

At least JR makes it seem like Jeff may get the ol' Orton treatment when he returns and not spend the rest of his contract jobbing to Carlito.

JR is awesome:

I feel absolutely horrible about confusing Jillian and Beth and actually thought about suspending myself from TV for a week because of such a grievous, human error. However, I have seen the light, have consulted with the Reverend Billy Gibbons, and have worked diligently on recognizing big breasted, blonde women since last week. I think I have this matter in hand, so to speak. Thanks for your concern. I’m just a knucklehead.

So is Mr Kennedy,

Before Bobby Lashley went down with his injury, he was getting some major heat in the locker room. One of Lashley's travel partners believes SmackDown Diva Kristal is messing Lashley up. Ken Kennedy even refers to Lashley as a "diva" and once referred to Steve Austin for advice when Lashley wasn't selling to anyone in his matches during his run with John Cena

The jokes keep coming today!

In it, Anoai says he was fired by WWE due to his weight problem. WWE denies the claim but Rosey says he is going on ABC's Fat March in hopes of losing some of the pounds and being rehired by WWE. WWE publicist Jennifer McIntosh says Anoai was terminated for reasons other than weight. He had "a limited skill set as a performer, and he was not a fan favorite. He didn't connect with the audience," said McIntosh.

Monday Observer site news - http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=20380

Pacman Jones' signing was in USA Today and on the front page of Yahoo. He'll be trained by Jeff Jarrett in a ring in Jones' backyard. He is set to wrestle at least once, possibly twice, but the Titans don't want him to.

I expect Impact's ratings to be up due to this signing, and possibly PPVs (which they desperately need to see an increase in). So far, they've gotten some major media coverage, which is good for getting the company's name out there.

Knock Pacman all you want, but he's drawing publicity (as you noted), despite this being negative image publicity, it is still overall good publicity as it will make people notice TNA. In the marketing industry they say that any publicity is good publicity, although I beg to differ. Bad publicity would obviously be something like the Benoit incident; this, is on a totally different "playing field" if you will. So, good for TNA, hopefully this keeps Jones out of trouble, keeps him in shape for the Titans, and draws some viewers to TNA that would not otherwise check them out.

interesting..well at least they aren't putting it as Don West's INSANE DEAL OF THE DAY! haha

its gunna be #2, you might as well say "...continuing the trend of disapointing storylines"

Those Superstars or fans who believed Mr. McMahon’s return to WWE would come via satellite or through an official statement were shocked when a limousine rolled up to the loading dock of the arena, and the Chairman (with all his body parts intact) nonchalantly walked out.

Who writes this shit?

(I know the answer, I just had to ask).

All signs point to Raw being no different than it ever was. I think I may head to the bar for Guitar Hero night instead.

Thanks guyver2077 for not stating that this came from wwe.com because I was thinking that RAW came on early because of that statement.

my bad... was too into tmnt

Vince blew himself up to see if he was loved. Better than a month-long mystery angle. Jesus, he's going to address the Congress and the "hypocritical" news media. Yay, GM-determining battle royal. I hope Regal wins, although Umaga being GM could rule too.

I'd be surprised if anyone but Kennedy, Regal or Carlito won. Kennedy being my pick to win.

I'm hoping Umaga wins though, imagine what kind of GM he'd make!

JR: "Val's Libertarian plans have eroded before our very eyes this Monday night!"

Speaking of wrestling and politics, Kane is campaigning for Ron Paul alongside Barry Manilow.

EDIT: ZzZzZzZzZzZzZz. This battle royal is terrible.

As much as I like Regal, that was rather lame. Sandman would've been a hilarious GM, plus that was clearly what the people wanted! Regal's victory celebration was second to none though.

I read about that, but figured it wouldn't be of interest to many posters here... watch out for the Big Red Libertarian!

I love it when McMahon goes after his opponents on TV; like he did when that pediatric journal study came out last year, like when he lampooned the Parent's Television Council via the Right to Censor (a sociologist names Kathe Lowney has a great published paper on that, BTW), and like tonight, when he went after Congress. He often does a piss-poor job of substantively going after his attackers, but it's really unnecessary when the rhetoric works to get people riled up.

It's fascinating, nevertheless, that he is publicly addressing the Congressional investigations into the wellness policy, given that the WWE has ignored drug failures and has the documentation to prove it.

Hmm.
