Angle doesn't look like himself. Look at his eyes. It looks like he's not there. That's pretty scary.
I didn't want to play it up but he made me and my sister uncomfortable as hell.
There's more to that TV story then I originally posted.
On a small TV, they had old matches from the Attitude era (I noticed Stone Cold and an unblurred WWF sign) playing which Kurt was watching rather intensely (that man has the scariest glare I have ever seen) when people weren't bothering him.
This happened when we were next in line. A larger family were ahead of us. They got their autographs and were moving on to D-Von's side. Security didn't wave us forward, so we stood there.
The TV was behind us and he just glared at it with that death look for the next 4 minutes before finally shaking out of it and saying "are you guys ready?"
As I walked up, he grabbed a photo and just looked down at the paper with his hand ready to write. I was waiting for a "what's your name" or just name. Eventually I just said my name, he signed the photo, shook my hand, mustered up a smile. Then he signed one for my nephew.
After he did that, I asked if we could get a photo. Sure he said and slid out his chair a little bit. That's when I had to pick up Zander and try to balance him and get close enough behind the table for the photo.
Later on when I asked my sister why she didn't tell me my hair was blocking her shot and I swear to you her exact words were "I didn't want to take more time than I had to"
Like I said he mustered up a smile but his eyes were just dead and he gave off this cocky not here persona.
One of the weirdest encounters I have ever had with a wrestler (and I've had midget Booker T hit on and give my underage sister his phone number when we were younger) but it was awesome.
