[quote name='io']All right, ENOUGH with the Zelda bashing! And Daroga and I thought we derailed this thread enough trying to explain why we wanted MP3 over Bioshock - at least those are two competing games coming out nearly at the same time and 1 is the subject of the thread. Zelda has nothing to do with this .
(And Zelda short?? I am only about halfway through - I admit, I stopped playing months ago but will return to it. I'm at least 20-30 hours into it though and nowhere near the end. It sounds significantly longer than Bioshock at any case).
And you guys are a bit hypocritical if you are going to be all upset if Gamespot gives your precious little game ONLY a 9.0. Sheeshh... If you are into this kind of game, what the

difference does it make if it scores 9's or 10's? For someone who is NOT into this sort of game (like me) even perfect 10's isn't going to make me rush out and buy it - but a consistently high score may make me consider it some day. I played the demo - if this ends up the best reviewed game of all time I will be a bit disappointed (as I could think of several other games I like much better), but it only points to my tastes being different than the "mainstream" I guess. But I won't think about it for more than a minute

Well....I'm not "bashing" Zelda per se. I'm just saying it was overrated, and GS was very much warranted with their "low score" of 8.8 (should've been 8.0 - 8.5)
Your second point was what I was trying to get across earlier. Scores don't matter. When people saw the Zelda review, the internet almost caught on fire. going OMG!!! 8.8. I agree. Who cares, if you like it, it doesn't matter. Just like for Bioshock, multiple posters have been saying "Oh just watch GS give it a 7" WHO CARES. Play it and like it.
EDIT: Sounded a bit contradictory there. For those who liked Zelda, good for you. I stopped playing after about 33 hours, and I think 1 1/2 temples away from beating the game. After those 33 hours, I thought about it and was like "Hmm...that felt very...mediocre. Good. But stale."
