what game is this?
Yakuza 0. Hands down one of the best (my personal favorite) games of 2017. Sadly seems that most of the time people mention great PS "exclusives" they fail to mention this one. Probably one of the only I games that I have paid full retail cost for and did not regret it one bit.

Yakuza isn't mentioned often because it's very niche. I have never played one myself, much like many games people clamor about unless it was adopted early in the series. There tends to be few Japanese games I care to play so when they come out, they're practically invisible to me. I'm guessing that tends to be the same for most other people that have no memories attached with a particular franchise.

Hey guys it’s been a while since I’ve gone on this site. Just wanna know if any of y’all know if nba legend editions or gold editions of games like ac origins go on sale too on Black Friday? Either on sale or they go out of stock/unavailable before Black Friday. Thanks

Yakuza 0. Such an amazing game that is very underrated. I do recommend you give it a try as Yakuza 0 is the prequel to Yakuza Kiwami which was rereleased in the US just recently. Also, Yakuza 6 is coming out in March 2018.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll add these to the list I'm making for this year. Plan on getting all the current exclusives if I can find the right deals.

I'm in the market for a PS4. I'm glad to see that $199 PS4 Slims will be a thing this year. I wonder what the Pro deals will look like.

$145 for an X1 is still too much for something with no exclusives.
(Full disclosure, I own both and Xbox and PS4 and I don’t have a favorite. Last two months my current games are FH3, Horizon Zero Dawn, GTA5 on both consoles, Destiny 2, and an older one, but Borderlands2)

Xbox exclusives:
Ori and the Blind Forest, Halo, Gears of War, Forza. (Hell, Forza Horizon 3 is worth the price alone, one of the most beautiful games released and has the gameplay to back up the graphics)
Plenty of others if you look for them.
Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and State or Decay 2 are on their way.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was a 1 year wait etc.

I’m not even including games like Cuphead, Quantum Break, or Sunset Overdrive because I don’t feel like they were top-tier titles.

If you’re actually interested, here is a list of exclusive Xbox One titles released and pending
http://gematsu.com/exclusives/xbox-one

And it’s not an exclusive, but Minecraft on PS4 is getting seriously left behind.

Exclusive implies it is only on that platform and yet a handful of those games are all on PC. It's really not worth getting into but the system has zero exclusives that remotely excite or give me a reason to buy one. The X1X will flop miserably and it's not for lack of trying; it's for lack of exclusive games.

In the gaming industry, exclusivity has varied levels of exclusivity, as explained in the article linked..

  • Full Exclusive - Games released exclusively on one console.
  • Platform Exclusive - Games released exclusively on a single family of consoles.
  • Console Exclusive - Games released for a single console (or family of consoles) in addition to PC.
  • Timed Exclusives - Games exclusive to a single console (or family of consoles) for a limited time.
  • Generation Exclusive - Games that are exclusive to one console from a single generation of consoles, but also released on previous generation consoles.
  • Peripheral Exclusive - Games that are exclusive to one console (or family of consoles) that require additional peripherals. (PlayStation VR, Kinect, etc.)

Is the PS4 Pro really that big of a difference compared to the PS4 Slim? I've watched videos & I see some extra detail in the Pro in newer games but it's not real substantial. I'm just not sure if it's worth spending an extra $150 or so on the Pro when it doesn't seem like that much difference in graphics quality. The feature I'd probably care about more is faster loading times, but I'm not sure if it's worth spending an extra $150 for a few seconds quicker loading times.

'Console exclusive' is a thing, regardless of what you think about the term. Also seems ignorant to think it will "flop miserably" unless you just have an issue with anything Xbox.

I'm not getting it for myself. I'm getting it for my brother who just got a 4k TV. Otherwise it does slightly higher frame rates in some games.

He's technically right..

The XB1X has and never will have any exclusives... it's just a beefed up XB1 with slightly better specs than the original system. The entire library is compatible on both systems, and many have or will be released on PC..

Though Halo 5 and Master Chief collection have yet to be released on PC, and the Microsoft Store App on PC has a lot to be desired that I forget that most of my games have cross platform ability, and can be played on my PC.

True. I'm highly considering just getting the Slim over the Pro unless there's some extremely good deal that I can't pass up on the Pro like where it goes down to around $250. I don't think I'd pay $300+ for it when I'll be able to get the Slim for way less. I have a 4k TV that I got in 2015 just it doesn't have HDR & I'm not getting another TV for probably another 3 years.

Wow. To have WW2 included already? Jeez. I know Xbox Ome S has been selling poorly in US compared to ps4 and Switch this year but that’s a crazy deal. Sams Club has no reason to want to clear WW2 stock so soon unless they’re using it to push the hardware.

Great deal.

I’d like to get a Pro but without a 4KTV I have a hard time justifying not.

Also, I’m a sucker for super slim models of Ps consoles. THey will for sure make a super slim ps4 sometime, probably 2019, and if it’s a lot smaller I’d want to buy that.

That PS4 deal is pretty sweet, looking for a PS4 eyeing the pro at this point but if the deals suck I'll just scoop up the normal version, just looking to play the SP exclusives.

That lower right square is a lie. I score the most deals while pooping. CAG is the first thing I check on, then it's up in the air what I do next.

Right, who needs Metamucil when you've got CAGs handicapping the BF deals. Its cheaper and with fewer pesky side effects.

we get it. you dont like xbox. youd say the same thing if it was $100 too.
I've owned the OG Xbox and 360 in the past and the one thing that stopped me from purchasing future consoles was lack of exclusives. When PS3 was $600 I scoffed and got a 360 for a year, so no -- this has nothing to do with branding and all to do about what the console offers.

What's stopping me from purchasing consoles is I have no idea where my digital library will be when the physical system becomes outdated. I am out of space and there are games I want to play on all my systems. I am old school and I don't want to throw out things I paid for, even if its digital games, so far the games do not transfer to the new box when the box becomes outdated which is a huge problem when spending money on digital games. Its like its a sunk cost that you can never get back. I only have so much room for consoles in my room and I am maxed out right now. I have maxed out every electrical outlet in my 2 rooms with a power strip on each even after having an electrician to install more outlets. Multiple TV's are not an option, and no TV comes with 10 HDMI ports. I am barely going to be able to fit a switch when Pokemon moves to it.  Some games are only digital so this is the only way to play them. Delisted games are also a problem as you can't get those on the new system no matter what. If you want to sell your console when you are done with it you lose all your games as well. Fun times. I bought a gaming PC last year to hopefully get rid of this issue and well, I kinda got into the video making and other things more than games on it, but its definitely the way to go for games these days, at least your library stays in steam and you will never lose it and PC hardware is not hard to maintain. I just have to try to actually play games on it instead of doing other things.

so... your really happy Black Friday keeps your store in business? :)
My company gave up on Black Friday about 3 or 4 years ago, and now resorts to "Thanksgiving Week" sales on top of one or two furniture discounts Thursday and Friday. I will say the store is generally busier November and December, but I get paid the same, regardless.

It's a short term of suck, but if you want, you can get out of it and do something completely different.
Maybe when I find something else I'm good at :/

Worked black Friday in 2009 at Toys R Us. Did 17 hours that day and I was on suicide watch after work...
My Black Friday lasts from the beginning of October through the end of December.
Sorry to hear it. Here's to us

I looked at the Kohls new black Friday ad and I didn't see the $199 ps4, but it's in the ad scan somebody posted. Is the $199 ps4 gone or just not in the updated ad?

How difficult do you expect the PS4 to be to get at Kohl's on Black Friday? I just don't see how I can pass up on this deal over getting a Pro. I'll likely be able to get it for around $170 after my rewards cash at Kohl's I'll be able to use for next month too that I'll save for it.

Honestly this is why I hate this whole thing. Having to have different meanings to what exclusive is is just dumb. Its like asking what your definition of is, is.

If you can play a game on more than one console than its not exclusive.

Ready to do this again with my Black Friday Haul.

This 1000%

With kids and work, it is hard to spend 8 hours a day playing games like the good ol days. Now I am lucky if I spend 2 hours straight with no distractions.

To be fair, the switch to AMD is supposed to make BC easier next gen. Xbox already says they’re games will continue playing on whatever next gen is, I imagine ps5 will have ps4 BC, physical and digital.

With games getting bigger and closer to 60-80GBs after updates I could see next gen using UHD BR as the main drive and game discs going to 100GB.

Hoping to see some fantastic deals, but doubt anything will excite me enough to go out or even hop online. The only games I'd want at the moment are Evil Within 2, Ys 8, and maybe Forza 7 and Wolfenstein 2. And we should be able to get 3 of those for 96 bucks in December if BB does B2G1. Doubt Black Friday offers much better than that.

Ready to see Gamestop and Best Buy ads.

Do they normally release them this week?

I want to snag Metroid and Fire Emblem: Awakening for Christmas gifts to two little cousins.

For myself, an XB1 X OR an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB.

Last time I saw Awakening on sale was that random time it went for 14.99 - 19.99 a few years back

Fire Emblem: Awakening is more than 4 years old and only sold my reseller at this pint
Aww bummer. Yea, they are my little cousins and from talking to them, I think one would really dig FE, but I wanted to give them the one I liked most of the three.

Edit: They're wicked awesome artists so I asked them to work together and put their own spin on the SNES cover of Metroid for my gift. Actually pretty excited for it.
