A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?
A: Price Matching differs from store to store. Here is the list of stores with if they PM or not on BF. You can also go here for further explanation on BF policy per store.

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

Anyone seen a way to get a discount on the Black Ops 4 Season Pass? Best bet would be a sitewide deal somewhere where they are selling it I think but I've got nothing.

Ideas?

PS: Would my GCU work on it if it wasn't black friday at BB?

 
I'm very disappointed that there are no deals on Captain Toad Treasure Tracker for Switch.  It's the only game on my wishlist that I wasn't able to get this year.

 
Went to Walmart on a lark to see if I could find Diablo III for Switch. Wasn’t expecting much but I nabbed one! It’s been a light BF for me this year but a deal this good is worth a pile of cheap XBO games on the backlog.

Impatience. But I haven't opened it up yet...so maybe I'll do that and return the other one. There's one 8 miles away that's showing it in stock with the option to pick up in store, but I know the stock locator isn't always reliable, and also it's not the time of year to be putting those requests in, they'll be SFS'd before they get held.

Not surprising to me since PS4 has the most quality exclusives by far.

Only one story of Black Friday madness so far? Looking forward to more since most of the fun of Black Friday is reading about the savages ready to kill each other over a Blu-Ray or roll of paper towels. :D

 
Thanks to the tip on D3/Doom at Walmart, walked in and they had one left of D3 and a few Doom. Grabbed one of each and was almost shot down until I explained it wasn't in their ad and in their normal lockup case. Once he couldn't find it in the ad, he said 'well alright then'. Not even sure why I got them lol, but the price is lower than they will ever be in the future, so what the hell.

Hit up GS next door after that to pickup the GF's order and exchange the MK8 bundle GC for a physical one, plus ACO for a friend. After that Target was just opening up so stopped by for coffee and to see what was what. Plenty of X1 and MK8 Switch bundles on pallets but no Spiderman lol. Guess we know the clear winner this year. Overall tame experiences and very enjoyable BF in stores that went smoother than online. Just glad we got most everything last night and didn't have to mess with lines, just casually walk around and have fun.

Also, just realized I've been on this site almost 10 years now. fuck me I'm getting old. . .

just got back from walmart, they had 2 spiderman ps4s left and about 30 minecraft x1 s consoles. i saw several carts with 2 of the ps4s in them. best part was because people are so stupid, they didnt have any tvs out to buy, you had to go up to garden center and tell them what size/brand you wanted and they gave you a barcode to check out with, then you pick up in tire and lube. because of this i was able to get the $100 40" hisense for my in laws 2 hours after the sales started. also got the 55" for $250 since they still had them in stock.

 
Sony brings the biggest sales and steepest discounts in the console space (outside of premium hardware anyway) when they have the least reason to.  Honestly I don't know why Microsoft even bothers when they phone it in with worse bundles (Minecraft vs Spiderman? Seriously?!). Nintendo is stingy too, but at least they have many AAA games you just can't get anywhere else.

 
Yeah, Minecraft can be bought for $2.50 IIRC from a deal posted earlier. Dead now, was on CDKeys but it's a complete fucking joke.

I'm sure I know the answer but haven't looked over this thread very closely. Digital copies at Wal-Mart aren't on sale for the same price as physical like they have been in the past are they?

Is Amazon not doing a BF sale? Not seeing anything on Amazon and don't even see a topic here (I may be blind), but normally Amazon is just Price Matching various deals everywhere else, but outside of the random God of War deal, I haven't seen nor heard of anything from them.

It's the E55 or something like that--priced at $429. The Samsung was about $629? At that point, why not recommend the Sony X900F or LG OLED? For me, sub $500 is something I can enjoy for a few years, but if I go nearly $700 after tax I'd better be buying something phenomenal. I probably should've gone with a 50" since my room is small, but the football games this evening look really nice.

There are some slight annoyances, like the TV has a loading wheel for when it's loading an app and there's a ghosting effect around it, but that's the only time I've noticed such a thing so far. There are quite a few integrated random movie channels, and bunch of other freebie stuff like that Stadium sports network that sometimes has interesting stuff on it. I would sometimes pick that channel up on my antenna, but it's nice to have a more reliable version of it now.

As far as dialing in the picture, there are way fewer settings than what my Samsung had. It probably took me 1/3 less time to enter the rtings settings compared to all of the fine tuning like 2 point and 10 point settings found on my old TV that didn't seem to change much. Out of the box, this TV looked nearly perfect.

 
I was originally going to get Detroit but I realize that I will be floating at $19.99 throughout the year at times next year and my gcu will then stack. I will put that $20.00 towards a psn year sub instead

They're running up the score while dominant. A lot smarter than coasting just because they can, if you ask me. The more people they get to buy in this generation, the stronger they are going forward. For people who are more casual or only buy one console, once you've got 'em they're kinda locked in.

MS is doing (just) enough to stay relevant and keeping the core gamer mindshare, but clearly minimizing investment in a lost battle. They will sink the serious money into regaining share with the next console.

Yes, I did not. Saw that in the ad and skipped it. It happens.

Next time you can make a spreadsheet and have all stores though. I decided not to.

I just came back from a Target and didn't see it but guess there is no $8 bin games like last year. They might be saving that for tomorrow though.

Walmart also had a few games I don't recall being in the ad that were $12 (outside of Doom and Diablo 3). Both stores said they'd have "and more!" games so maybe more games will be shown tomorrow for both.

Random too: For those that got Doom for the Switch. Apparently it comes with all the DLC included. Rather play it on the PS4 or XB1 but $12 for all that content makes it worth it.

Doom's premium dlc became free dlc sometime last year.

I played the multiplayer for a bit to get a couple trophies. It was good, but I was knee deep in Overwatch at the time. I mention that because all of the dlc is related to the multiplayer. Maps and weapons.

Got most everything I wanted. Passed on Street Fighter Anniversary for Switch because I already spent about $135 (including the purchases from the 3-D BB pre-BF sale), and spending $25 for an MSRP $40 game didn't seem worth it. Also, Capcom compilations tend to drop pretty quick.
