A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

I went to the local Target yesterday in the early evening just out of curiosity, and they were completely wiped out of anything gaming related, and I asked if they were putting out more on the floor for Saturday since the deals are still in effect, and they said no. So, I'm glad that I shopped online this year.

Was at Best buy earlier and they were unloading a pallet of red dead ps4 pros, spiderman slims, switches, and snes classics. Not sure if they forgot about it in the back or if they got a new shipment but nice for those late to the game and missed the spidey slims.

I was looking at exclusives and the only games I really want are Sea of Thieves, Quantum Break, Cuphead and Ori and the Blind Forest. And all of them are technically playable on PC. A $199 Sea of Thieves bundle would have been tempting.

Exactly. Compare those 4 "exclusives" I mentioned above to the 200+ games I played on PS4 this year. It's the same reason I haven't got the Switch yet; because I can't justify paying $299 just to play Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey.

I'm not sure I follow. I was replying to someone who said that there wasn't a $200 bundle being offered from Microsoft/Xbox this year. I correctly pointed out there is one this year.

So Wal-Mart can't be serious. Has anybody else experienced this? I was denied a sale (for the 2nd straight year on Black Friday mind you) on an item that is in their sale ad (last year was on a game that was not only listed, but had a picture as well, which I waited in like for almost an hour for). I brought up Rampage, Skyscraper, and Rambo on 4K to the register. Rampage rang up properly at 8.96. The other two rang up at standard price. I told the lady they were supposed to be on sale. She said they were standard price because they didn't have the "PROMO" sticker on them, which honestly I have never seen before, nor did the vast majority of blu-rays on the shelves even have. I was dumbfounded. I honestly thought I was being trolled. I was waiting for the hidden camera to be revealed. I thought about asking for a manger, but I didn't want to make a scene. I was beyond pissed though. How is this a thing? I have never heard of this before. It's extremely arbitrary, random, and inconvenient. What if someone were to wait in line for an hour only to be denied a sale simply because their item didn't have the proper sticker on it (similar to my experience last year)? If you're going to implement something so incredibly arbitrary and specific, then why not specify that in the ad itself? ESPECIALLY considering the sales are in-store only. That makes no sense. This is exemplary of why Wal-Mart is trash.

The switch is amazing. Playing Mario Odyssey and bring something different then playing so many shooters like cod.

I mainly use my Xbox one s for Netflix. If
Quantum break was on sale... Is PC almost always better then Xbox one and PS4 games?

it must be you, i dont even get the promo copies, i get movies off the shelves and games from the case and zero problems. also, self checkout is your friend, especially at walmart.

Quantum Break was decent but definitely pales in comparison to Sony exclusives. I'll give See of Thieves a go with Game Pass but I'm not expecting much. I am interested in Crackdown 3 since I enjoyed the first two so hopefully it turns out well. New Gears of War next year I think and Halo 6 down the line I'm sure so I'll play those as well.

I have a Switch but it's mainly a dust magnet since it's the weakest of the current consoles, I don't care about portability and of course, no achievements. Breath of the Wild is great but I didn't get very far into Mario Odyssey. Might have had something to do with the fact that there weren't any trophies popping but that's more my problem than the game's. :D

Nintendo would greatly benefit from a “trophy” system. I absolutely love hearing the trophy ping notification when I earn one lol. I would easily go for a play on Zelda for example if it had trophy’s

Yeah, right now it just makes more sense for me to funnel all my funds into one console rather than spread myself thin (it's not like I have any more time to spare). But I did forget about XB's backwards compatibility and I still haven't played Alan Wake or Fable yet. Maybe next Black Friday.

I feel the same way about Wacko-Mart but went by today to pick over the remains and found a copy of Dragon Ball Fighter Z for the Xbone buried in one of the demolished cardboard stands. The cashier corrected it to $17 because it had a purple dot on it. You just never know what you’ll get there.....

The Xbox bundles are glorified shit. Unless you're getting a One X with something must-have there is no point. A friend bought a basic Switch for $299.99 just because of that GameStop giftcard and I told him he should have waited until they got more stock in with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle. You're paying the same price and getting nothing with the system.

I haven't even been near a Switch until last night and those joycons are the most overpriced pieces of shit I've seen on any console at any time. Tiny fucking cheap plastic wastes of money and for $80 a pair is ludicrous. My sister needs more controllers and there are no good deals on them anywhere. If there is a quality wired controller at a good price maybe it's an alternative.

Side note: Target shipped my order of Dragon Quest XI in two days but they sent me the normal edition and not the Edition of Light which is what it should have been. I had to go to Target and exchange it. The in-store copies were mixed together with both standard and Edition of Light versions. The Edition of Light is even the display copy.

I actually had some good luck this year and was able to pretty much get everything I was looking for. There were some hiccups along the way, but it wouldn't be Black Friday without it. My issues started with Best Buy and Kohl’s... which both tend to be the problem stores for me each year. Sunday into Monday they started early sales, waited and rushed but nothing I wanted was there, not really a hiccup so much as a letdown. And then Best Buy ended up taking away my GCU discount early and after hours in the chat with them, all they could tell me to do was call. While chatting I could get other things done, I decided not to waste more time calling. And then Best Buy kept raising and lowering the price of the laptop I wanted then showing it available until I went to buy it and then finally Thursday they put the sale price up at least 20 minutes early and I caught it randomly. Anyway, let’s move on to the good stuff

Got very lucky as after looking at several TVs this was the one that always stood out in the price range I was looking to spend. Was thinking about throwing in an XBOX One as well for a 4K player, so the fact they were bundled and the lowest price I have just seen the TV for worked out really well. Was very excited and relieved I was able to get one, was a little disappointed that they didn't sell out since I was worried about it, but I'm still glad it worked out. 
 
 
Kohl's - 
Once I knew that I was able to get the TV I was a little more at ease, didn't realize the TV would be the easy part of my night. I had everything I wanted in the cart and thought I was as ready as I could be, unfortunately, I wasn't. I had wanted to get the Spider-Man PS4 bundle, as it seemed for most people, before the minute that sale went live was over, the bundle was sold out and I couldn't get it. I was really disappointed as I could have easily ordered one all week, but I was holding out thinking I could get it from Kohl's since it seemed everyone had them and they were in stock, that was until after I learned I couldn't get it that night, was definitely bummed. But I went ahead and purchased:

and was bummed for the rest of the night, though still happy with what I was able to get so far. The next day I still had the link up on my laptop and randomly refreshed the page (mostly because the reviews and questions people were posting were entertaining) and the Add to Cart showed back up. My heart sunk and I went as fast as I could to get it ordered, I purchased the TV in under 3 minutes and I think I was even faster with this having no idea and not being prepared in the slightest. The sight was terrible, freezing, glitching, etc. but I was in disbelief when I got the confirmation that my order was placed. Granted, I had ordered two because in the process of the glitching it added another to my cart, but I was in no way concerned about it, I was just thrilled to get it. I was definitely waiting for the e-mail to come saying it wasn't happening, but by the time I went to bed, then several hours into the next day I thought I was good, even getting the confirmation that the Kohl's Cash was added to my account. 13 hours or so later I got the e-mail that it was canceled, I was definitely not pleased.
 
I had some negative experiences with Kohl's last year, so I already had a bitter taste in my mouth with them and this didn't help. Later that night, after they sent the cancellation e-mail, I was looking at my account and noticed I still had $150 in Kohl's Cash, I should have only had $30 from the Fitbit. I was shocked when I read on their site that if they canceled the order they let you keep it. That definitely helped make the situation a little better.. but the problem is I now have $150 in Kohl's cash and have nothing I need to buy. I'm just hoping to find something useful that I can put it towards so it actually benefits me.

Aside from that, a few random beauty, clothing, etc. sales that I found as well, but nothing exciting ;-) These were all gifts, I didn't do any shopping for myself this year, I asked for several games that went on sale, but I won't know how that went for another month. Though, I'm sure I am missing something I got as some of it starts to blur together after a bit. I did all of my shopping online this year with the exception of the movies from Wal-Mart. I got bored on Friday and decided to venture out for a few minutes to see what was going on, there is a store near me that is never really all that busy so it's not terrible to go to on Black Friday and it was later in the afternoon anyway. I wasn't planning to buy anything but got a few anyway. As I said, I'm pretty pleased with what I got this year and the savings. The only things I missed out on were the extra $50 gift card from Gamestop for the switch, but by doing the gift card promo I did get a little over $30 for that. And the other thing I missed was the PS4 from Kohl's, but that kind of worked out better anyway. I also didn't buy anything this year just because it was on sale. Everything I got was something I was looking to get for someone anyway with the exception of the Tile Tracker, though it was something I have considered in the past. I tried to plan everything as best I could, researching ads, figuring out times, etc. so I was as ready as I could be. My head was definitely spinning and I was ready for it to be over... now that it is, I'm already missing the excitement :p 
 
 
I think I'm pretty much done this year, I will obviously see what happens on Cyber Monday, but the only thing I am specifically looking for is a good surge protector for the TV... also a mattress, and then I will for sure be done with the larger purchases.

Quantum Break was decent but definitely pales in comparison to Sony exclusives. I'll give See of Thieves a go with Game Pass but I'm not expecting much. I am interested in Crackdown 3 since I enjoyed the first two so hopefully it turns out well. New Gears of War next year I think and Halo 6 down the line I'm sure so I'll play those as well.

I have a Switch but it's mainly a dust magnet since it's the weakest of the current consoles, I don't care about portability and of course, no achievements. Breath of the Wild is great but I didn't get very far into Mario Odyssey. Might have had something to do with the fact that there weren't any trophies popping but that's more my problem than the game's. :D

I couldn’t agree more, traded in my x1 for a switch when it first came out due to nostalgia hitting me hard. Breath of the wild is awesome but I haven’t finished, played odyssey and love it but the whole non trophy is really bogging me down. The quality of my PS4 games are holding me back from playing the switch.
