You guys have talked me into it, with $10 off code ended up paying just over 20 for Skywalker Saga. I had never really played a Lego game until recently, my daughter and I picked up the Star Wars Lego for Gamecube and rather enjoyed playing it co-op, just didn't like that it was all prequel stuff, but it was serviceable. Now I have Skywalker Saga on the way and hope that will be a lot of fun for us. Thanks!

As a side note, I really wanted this Skyward Sword on Switch. You CAN turn off waggle feature on Switch version, right? I wish this was available at Walmart or Amazon, not just Best Buy. 30 is my zone of interest. I have a pending $40 coupon at Target, but would rather use it on something like Tactics Ogre since it doesn't seem to be going on sale. Might just bite the bullet on Skyward Sword @ BB.

I also see I need to start paying a lot closer attention to BB and what they clearance.. I've seen many things (OOS) marked as clearance I would have been glad to sweep up (Rockman ZX Collection, Collection of Mana, etc) and they were priced to -move-. I hate that these things show up in the search results and just say "unavailable nearby", but don't state they are out of stock on the website, but clearly are.

I've been keeping my eye out for just about any of them lately at thrift stores. I did pick up Harry Potter Lego for Wii, I thought it was the whole thing, but see now it's Year 5-7 so I'd like to get the other one before playing. I will look for Pirates, too. They are fun little co-op games that aren't too demanding of her skill wise (though she is pretty good these days).

These games kind of remind me of Jedi Power Battles, which I really enjoyed way back when. I don't care much for the Lego aesthetic, but it's not too bad! Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm pretty pissed off with Walmart.

I ordered Sonic Frontiers last week, I got an email on Friday saying the shipment was delayed. No problem, I wasn't in a hurry to get the game anyway. Fast forward to this morning, I get a notification from my email saying my Walmart package was delivered last night at 10:56pm. What the hell? I didn't see the package when I left for work, but I wasn't really paying attention. I texted my roommate and asked him to check, and he texts me back and says nothing is out there. I just got back from asking the office and nobody dropped it off.

I've already contacted support for a refund because I don't trust them to handle my order properly a second time. I don't get why they use public couriers if they're not going to open up any sort of line of communication between me and the person delivering my package. I didn't even get a notice that it was going to be delivered, not like it mattered.

Was there a picture uploaded to your order? I've had a package from walmart delivered to the wrong house and I was able to figure out where it was and get it. But Walmart using Uber delivery drivers is a disaster. The crazy thing is the package doesn't even have your address on it just first initial and last name. So if whoever got it doesn't know your name they can't even get it to you if they wanted to.
 
I didn't get much for Black Friday and nothing for Cyber Monday, I set a limit for myself of $20 for any games I was interested in.  Like most others on CAG, I have a pretty large backlog so I just didn't see any sense in grabbing a bunch of stuff that I can't even get to yet.

I ended up getting Tekken 7 definitive edition for PC for $10 and Doom 2016 PC for $5 from Newegg, intended to get those for a while.  Also got $20 Dying Light 2 for PS5 from Walmart, and Resident Evil Village PS5 and Capcom Fighting Collection PS4 from Gamestop for $20 each, both "Gamestop new", ugh.

I remember some nice surprises from Cyber Monday in previous years, mainly from Gamestop but this year was PFFFFT.

I will say that I pulled Ghost of Tsushima DC PS5 out of my backlog with all the mentions of sales on that recently, that is one of the best open world games I have played in recent memory.  It is so well done, I am completely impressed with it.  I am currently pretty far into Act 2 as best as I can tell.  If you have that game in your backlog, you should make it next on your list, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as I was.  I usually space out the open world/sandbox games a lot just because they tend to be somewhat exhausting after a while.  I recently finished Zelda BOTW and then Maglam Lord PS4, then started GoT DC, it is an awesome game.

Glad I jumped in when I did, didn't realize inflation was *that* out of control!

It was 29.00, but I had a $10 code from joining free Walmart + and fulfilling the three easy conditions! (It can only be used on orders over 35, I had a $7 shovelware anime game for my daughter to mess with also in the cart).

I plat’d Tsushima after ~70 hours, taking my time to explore the world. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played! I still need to get around to the DLC…

Sadly no picture and I live at apartments were there's 24 homes per building, so it'd be hard to find where they left it without looking like a total creeper. I'll pop into the office tomorrow and see if anyone turned a package in with my last name on it.

I used to work for Walmart as a department manager, so no full name or address on the package doesn't surprise me. They likely just slap an OPD sticker on it (only has first initial and last name) and the person delivering it just goes by the information in the app. It's beyond stupid they do that for deliveries, especially since no contact was made. Oh well, lesson learned. If there's ever a next time, I'll just do in-store pickup to prevent anything like this from happening again.

Other than that, my orders from Gamestop and Amazon are coming in just fine. I was actually surprised my Gamestop order got here before my Amazon ones, lol. I'm looking forward to finishing Persona 5 Royal so I can start Soulstice as per the recommendations I got earlier in the thread. Should be a nice palette cleanser after a long JRPG.

I actually got my Walmart order today which I placed yesterday before midnight. Got a proof of delivery pic and my name was on the package and the bag. One was packaged and 1 in plastic (my $1 filler item to get $10 off 50)

I did platinum this on the PS4 and own the gamestop exclusive CE. I will say I did love the game... at first. It's beautiful and a lot of fun. The issue is pacing. About halfway through the game you learn all the skills and realize all of the buildings/enemies end up being cookie cutter. I forced myself to finally finish it as everything became monotonous.

Yeah, it sucks that every version but the digital version is discounted. Those running on discless hardware get screwed more often than not on the timely discounts. Hopefully the expansion will make it to GamePass eventually!

that’s sort of the owners fault for purchasing a discless console. It’s widely known physical media often goes on sale when digital is controlled by the company’s branded store. They don’t have a reason to discount digital media.

I ordered a black friday special for a TV. They delivered it by dropping it in my driveway. Just...right in the middle of my driveway but they took a photo of them leaving it in the middle of the driveway.

I contacted customer support and they were very apologetic that their driver just left it hanging out. They refunded the TV and they seemed horrified when they checked the photo, but, man, I was surprised they left it in the driveway with no attempt at hiding or anything.

 
Man major props to Walmart for auto price adjusting my nfs unbound kidnapper edition since it dropped to $70. What other retailer does that? Didn’t even have to contact anybody
 
Just an FYI, Best Buy’s Day 2 deal of their 12 Days of Gaming promotion is 10% off select PlayStation Store gift cards. Anybody interested in that deal should visit Dollar General instead this week, since they’re running a 15% off deal on the $25 denomination of PS gift cards.

They are generally very good with these things. Last year I ordered a PS5 digital edition and I guess they sold more than they actually had. They gave me a free upgrade to the disc version. And this year the price of a product I bought dropped the next day before it even got delivered and they adjusted the price by themselves.

Finally got home to all my stuff.

I think I must won the GS lottery, all my purchases from them have been actual new copies and the two used games I purchased look like they were new to used converts: Digimon Survive NS new, Crash Trilogy PS4 new, Gears 5 used, and Halo 5 used. 

Some of my NS games from VGP though... look off. Yu-Gi-Oh Link Evolution looks like it was re-sealed, Ikai has like excess plastic. Same issue with my Nier Yorha NS from Amazon. 

 
does anyone know how a Best Buy reward certificate gets refunded if it's partial?

For example, I bought two items:

1: $30

2: $20

and I used reward cert of $5.   I want to return the $30 item.  Will it give me $3 equivalent in points?

I think best bet is to just return everything in that order. Otherwise, you may just not get it back.

Not really. Just we usually watch out for each other. The odds of all three of us not being home/seeing anything is rare.

Or

My wife suggested the guy who took the pic took the TV. I prefer to think that's what happened so I don't distrust my neighbors but unless I see a giant tv box out at trash time, I'll presume it wasn't them.

that's probably what happen...the latter. It's pretty common. There's a service that delivers to my apartment complex and one of the guys got caught doing that.
 
I just had a terrible experience with Walmarts new delivery system as well. I bought some Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews sent to my parents who live in California I’m now in Texas or I would’ve done instore pickup. They delayed the delivery 2 days in a row, gets marked as delivered today but, no items were delivered. Either delivered to the wrong address or the driver stole the items. No pictures no nothing. Terrible service.

I'm also in TX.
My store normally does really well in delivering; the TV is the only issue I have had out of roughly 25 orders so not bad overall.

And the TV would not have been an issue if they delivered as requested/originally planned. not when they wanted to.

Have done this many times. They will prorate you the number of points back to your account prorated between the two items. Unless it was a promo certificate. I believe this are not refundable. If it was earned points redeemed you will get it back.

Just an FYI, I had a couple Preorders through BB that I used promo certificates on. What they did for the certificates (from different orders, but cancelled at the same time) when I cancelled was issued me a new certificate which combined all the certs.

That was earlier this year and I ended up doing it a second time and ultimately stacked 3 certs back into 1 cert. So now that I've seen this work first hand, I'd use this pre-order technique to save certs with expiration dates.

For another year, it was crap. First with BB. Dusk Diver 2 was only 19.99 for PS5. I needed that for PS4. This is how I knew I was getting L's this year. Kena was $24.99 rather than 19.99. They held on the price. It's a deluxe edition so there was always a chance, but still its been a a year & 2 months after a 49.99 release. The digital version was 19.99, which made me laugh. Fortunately, a seller on Amazon had it for 22.00. Then after I get the package, it was available for 21.97. I won't let 3 cents kill me. I'm content. Next, I had bought TLoU2 for 19.99 last year. It was 9.99 this year (actually, throughout the year). Why did I buy it? I thought I was going to play it, but didn't. L for me. I bought SMT HD for 19.99 last year. Just ended up at 14.99 this year. Didn't get to play it yet. Another L. Back to the list.

On Amazon, I saw Scarlet Nexus for 15.00. I needed something else to get free shipping. I got Tales of Arise (I was holding out for a definitive edition, plus it was too soon for me to want to get it overall). Later that day, SN was for 13.50 by another seller. Got it and planned to return the 1st order. My SN/ToA order got delayed multiple times and Amazon allowed me to get a refund. My 13.50 SN arrived days ago. So when I called to get a refund for the SN/ToA, the agent (and I wasn't aware of this until after the phone call ended) got confused by since I had purchased two SN's that day even though I had told them it was the SN/ToA order. So not only did I get a refund for my SN/ToA order, but for the 13.50 SN as well. So for 2 years in a row, I got a free game (NEO: The World.....) all because my order got delayed/never arrived. Plus the usual cash back rewards. I just need to send back my 24.99 Kena and 19.99 SN from BB back after the cash back clears to get my money back.

Trust me my wallet is crying right now. It’s just once a year and I didn’t need a new laptop, Apple Watch and other expensive stuff so I was able to buy multiple things. It’s crazy how u put a few “cheap” games in ur cart then u look at ur cart total and it’s over $100 just like that lol. Crazy

I feel like maybe I out cag'd everyone here for the November sales.  I only ended up spending ~$60 picking up TMNT Collection & Shredder's Revenge on Switch.
